Great interior, the curved bar counter is its best feature. Bartender I had on a Saturday mixed wonderful drinks, try their Daiquiri. The ricotta, mushroom tartine was tasty and the cheese fries are also a plus.

Every time I come here for dinner I end up staying much longer than planned, because it is SOGOOD. I’m a huge fan of sitting at the bar when I go out to eat and this one is beautiful. The drinks are great and the bar tender can always make a good recommendation. Every dish they add to the menu is incredible. I’ve tried things here I never though I would like and they manage to put everything together into something delicious. Great for a date or to bring visiting friends or family.

MYIPA on nitro was a perfect complement to my golden, pan-seared scallops.

Really long wait at the table but I don’t even care. Best burger I’ve ever had! Plus the drinks are phenomenal. Try the Ratigan.

Been meaning to review this place for a while. This is either our go-to place when Paulie Gee’s has a crazy wait, or when we want reasonably priced awesome food. Favorites are the pâté, the octopus, the burger, and the jerk pork chop! Service was meh one time but otherwise a gem!

Had the burger. It was very salty and kind of small. I still ate it… Would go back again

Failed to make dinner plans on Valentines day for my fiancé and I, we stopped into Alameda after striking out at a few other spots in the neighborhood. We had excellent, friendly service. Delicious happy hour options including Barnstable Oysters, which are my favorite. The bartender even bummed me a cigarette! :)

Love the vibe here. Cozy, classy, laid back. Great food as well. I came here after moving into the neighborhood as my first dinner out in greenpoint and had the best experience; it was such a great welcome to my new home. The chef is fantastic and so friendly – he came out after our meal and started clearing and asking us how everything was, and thanked us for coming out in the cold. I’d happily come anytime, rain or shine, coldest day of the year or not. Can’t wait to come visit again! Thank you!

This a great place to take a friend out for dinner. Take a seat at the nice-lookin’ u-shaped bar that dominates the center of the dining area(reminds be of Maison Première’s). This place’s interior has a very«old school meets modern» feel to it. Very classy, but not pretentious. Am I making sense? Probably not. Alameda’s food menu brings you mostly standard fare — oysters, a damn good cheeseburger(doesn’t come with fries, though), and, oh you know, a foie gras latka that’s great to share with your lover. Add some great service and a few cocktails and you’ll surely have a great time here!

Certainly my favorite spot in the neighborhood. Cozy place, not too crowded and loud. The food is fine and so are the drinks. The service is friendly, but sometimes it takes a bit too long to get their attention.

Dream come true to have this gem steps away from home. Two ABSOLUTE all time favorite dishes — foie gras latka + apple/celery root salad. Mouthwatering just thinking about it. We go all the time. Brunch is nice. Cocktails are lovely. Ambiance is great. Overall — nothing but love for this place :)

Wow, the pork was so good. Seasoned with a lot spices, so this is for those who can handle the heat. Service was great. Perfect for dates.

This bar is so sexy I ordered an Old Fashioned. And usually I stay away from brown liquor! But when in rome… As you can imagine the cocktail was superb. I also ordered plain fries, and those were good too. The room is centered by a U shaped bar, which gives it excellent feng shui. What’s more it is superbly renovated in speakeasy chic. Yes that’s de rigeuer in Brooklyn now, but it never gets old. Being that it’s called Alameda(hello Oakland!) I thought it was ironic that someone was smoking some strong skunk right outside & it was wafting into the place. It almost felt like good old San Francisco!

I am nearly at a loss for words. Due to the vast amount of glowing reviews for the burgers here, I decided to make the trip with a friend. What I encountered was a disservice to the history of hamburgers. Let’s cut to the chase. The burger I received at Alameda was equal in quality to that served at a mediocre backyard BBQ. I’d have a hard time believing that Alameda didn’t hit up C-Town minutes after I ordered to pick up $ 1.25 worth of ingredients for my $ 13 burger(without fries). You know things are bad when a bland patty is the highlight of your burger. The bun may have well been served out of a plastic Wonder Bread bag, but even that wasn’t the worst part of this meal. The cheese. Good god the cheese. Rubbery and unmelted. That nearly fluorescent orange that we became accustomed to as 6-year olds. This is not what I expect for $ 13 from an actual restaurant. I can honestly say that this was the first time as an adult that I ordered a cheeseburger at a restaurant and didn’t finish it or take home leftovers. If you want a slightly better burger, go down the street to McDonalds. My friend got the $ 17 octopus. It was maybe one tentacle and served on 2 types of melons. Why? I don’t know. I’m not sure I’ve been left more dumbfounded at a restaurant in recent memory. P. S. Don’t go to McDonalds. Anella is directly across the street and has a very solid burger.

The service here was excellent and the cocktails were amazing. They didn’t have as many oysters as we ordered, so the chef sent out some fluke ceviche. It was amazing, The cheese fries were really good as well. I had Little Neck Clam Fideos which was not the high point of the meal. I found the noodles to be a little too al dente and the overall dish was just so-so. I would come back here for cocktails and snacks at the bar.

Alameda has been high on my list, and one cool Sunday I got to cross it off. I came in early afternoon and was greeted warmly by the hostess/waitress. She let me pick my table and came over with menus. I already knew I wanted a burger and a martini so I stuck with my guns. The burger was good – decent size, well seasoned, came out medium as asked. Also got a side of fries because why not. My martini was so smooth, I really enjoyed it. The waitress came over a few times to check in and I didn’t feel rushed after I ate and took my time with my drink. A few other diners/drinkers were mingling at the tables in the window and at the bar. Really loved the look and feel of the place. Very relaxed atmosphere and not your usual Sunday brunch crowd craziness. Sure the vibe is different after work or on a Friday/Saturday night, but I wouldn’t mind coming back during those times. Would recommend!

Went here for dinner few weeks ago for the first time… Ordered the cheeseburger with cheesy fries and had a few of the specialty tequila/margarita drinks from the drink menu. Food and drinks were delicious — service was great. Went here looking for more of a dinner spot, but learned Alameda is primarily a bar that also serves food. Good spot for drinks and small plates, but on a Friday/Saturday — not the kind of place you can have a conversation easily without having to almost yell. But if you’re out late night and come down with a food craving — it’s almost guaranteed the bacon cheesy fries will meet every need you have. Pros: comfortable interior décor, nice lighting, tasty food/drinks, attentive service, great place to grab casual drinks Only real con(if you can call it that) is that Alameda is more of a casual meetup bar for drinks so its a bit on the loud side. It’s not a place you can sit down and easily have a conversation but works well as smaller neighborhood bar.
