Great Driving School, Great Hands On Training And Test Prep!!!

Went there with a Groupon for the 5-​hour class and two lessons. My son attended the five-​hour class (which lasted 1 hour 45 minutes) and the teacher collected his Groupon voucher. When we tried to schedule the two driving lessons there was always an excuse, no appointments available, you have to go to another location, etc. Now the merchant is refusing to honor the deal for the driving lessons because he says we don’t have the original voucher. I told him that we gave it to the teacher at the class. He said that it was not his problem and that he shouldn’t even be talking to me because he just got back from Miami. (?) Then he hung up. He has been giving me the run-​around for three days and the expiration date is looming.
Groupon gave me credit for half of what I paid, so I guess I’m lucky.
This is a scam. STAY AWAY!!!

I took my 5 hour pre-​liscening course and 2 classes here. I ordered my car for road test as well. I called on ⁷⁄₂₇ for a replacement certificate. No call back from office. I called back ⁷⁄₂₈ and owners excuse for not giving me a replacement certificate is «.You called too late.» I don’t recommend this place. Instructor was pleasant. Owner is the worst.

I purchased their Groupon deal for the 5 hour pre-​licensing class and two driving lessons for an awesome cheap price. So far, I only taken the 5 hr course which had a great instructor. Yes, the class was 5 hours long but provided useful information about the road test. The instructor even provided the actual evaluation sheet which will be given the day of your road test and a scoring example sheet. I found this very useful and will use as a guide for my practice lessons. At the end of the class, I believe everyone felt confident enough of passing their road test the first time around. Highly recommend it guys!

Had a good experience with this school. Did the 5 HOUR class and had coupon from Groupon to get 2 free lessons. Over all had a very good experience and would recommend this school. Give it a 5 star cause did not have any negative experience. Everything was good.

I took the 5 hour course. It really recaps everything that you learn previous to taking the test. and also brings up new topics and methods that you don’t find in the state driving manual. the instructor was very insightful and went in depth on every question that was of him. Well worth the money and time.

The class was very informative. I like the fact it was not all videos and that we were able to ask questions and the instructor explained things in details. I learned a lot from the class things is never knew about before taking the 5-​hour class.

Should be avoided at all costs, did lessons and road tests with them multiple times and each time was worst than the last. The owner is arrogant and can be nasty so watch out.

OMGawsh! I am having the EXACT same problem with them! They are LIARS (making up stories about actually having used the lessons– never happened!!) and they are THIEVES (they won’t reimburse the money I spent).
Now what my issue is becoming is WHYYYYY Livingsocial, a multi-​million dollar company, says they can’t reimburse b/​c Access already marked it as used. How can Access prove they are telling the truth??? … And WHY doesn’t Livingsocial have a policy for things like this? If all it takes is for a company to say, «Yeah the voucher is used already», do you know how easy it is to commit criminal acts of fraud and theft… WITH no recourse or accountability… I told them to ask Access what dates they «claim» I was there b/​c I can prove I was at work (My job attendance goes up to the city)… and even w/​a stone-​cold confidence that I can prove Access is LYING Livingsocial won’t even do that much. :-O If this were a court case, BOTH sides would have to produce evidence, yet for some reason, LivingSocial won’t request that Access due their due diligence. I’m so disgusted w/​them. No further LivingSocial purchases for me (unless this is rectified).

I got a deal from Amazon Local and that’s why I decided to give them a try before I was considering Ena’s or Shore. Anyway, I went to the 5 hr class and they guy there, who I learned later was the owner, was so rude and sarcastic. I noticed that when you have a deal they don’t want you to do the 2 lessons you paid for separately and you have to come back to the location to do your lesson. Which I think is so stupid because every driving school picks you up. Also, the instructor I had was good but what I don’t like is that when you finish the lesson they ask you to write a review and send it to the owner, I think that is so tasteless b/​c obvi I’m not gna give you a bad review in your face. All in all, don’t use them go to Ena’s or Shore.

This place is terrible! I got lessons for my wife here from LivingSocial and then when I set them up there was a mix up to the location of the 5 hour class. I called the Queens office and requested the Queens office to be the location of the class. When we arrived there was no body there and we called over and over again and eventually someone answered and then told me that there was no class in Queens that day and that the class was in Brooklyn that day. I asked the person on the phone (James) who I could speak to regarding the mistake he said to call the owner (Terry) so the next day I called Terry at all three offices and received no response to my messages. I also tried e-​mailing them using their website because there was no direct way to contact them via e-​mail. I tried and still (3 weeks later) I have not been responded too. They marked the deal as used and when it took LivingSocial over 1 week to hear back from them they claimed they have no record of the appointment. So let me ask this. Why would our deal be marked as «Redeemed» if nobody ever redeemed it? Steer clear of this place!

With their help, I passed my test on my first try, so I have no complaints at all. My instructor was a nice guy.

The instructors during the 5 hour class seemed polite and knowledgeable so I went ahead and booked a driving test and a car with them.
And everything went downhill after that. I booked a test which took me a month to find an available date and even then the earliest was a month after. I showed up early as instructed and got stood up and I missed my reservation even though they called to make sure before. While I was there waiting I called the office and no one picks up all three numbers and no answer.
Now after all the fiasco they called to and booked me another test and I haven’t heard from them I call there office and no answer. The only number that I have is the instructor which I call and he is extremely rude and starts yelling for no reason.
These guys are are messed up very lousy management. I could never recommend them to anybody after my experience.
Waste of time and money.
Even after passing the driving test while with another instructor which was much more polite and insightful.
The my whole experience with staff was OK. The whole experience was ruined because of that driving instructor and the office having god knows how many number and only one that works.
But still I cant recommend the place after what happened with me, unless the overhaul there management I can’t recommend.

Anthony was a great instructor. He helped me work on my weak points til I got it right. He was fair and gave me an accurate sense of what to expect for the test. He is always helpful and punctual for all lessons. Very thorough and insightful instructor. Thanks anthony!

I had a couple of really bad driving instructor as a teenager. One instructor was this mean old guy that made me feel insecure and cower in the driver’s seat. The other was this pervy older guy who told me inappropriate stories about his sex life and who referred to women’s bosoms (particularly mine) as «Rocks of Gibraltar.»
These experiences pretty much traumatized me for driving.
Access Driving School was a breath of fresh air. My instructor Karla was an excellent teacher; she was very patient and approachable. She gave great constructive criticism and she made a very nervous driver feel at ease. She is such a sweet and funny lady, I really enjoyed driving and chatting with her. Towards the end, as I improved, we spent a majority of the session swapping stories and laughing. Needless to say I passed on my first road test.
I had a pleasant experience dealing with Access. The people were very courteous and I appreciated the calls reminding me of my road test appointment and of the paperwork I needed to bring with me. The packages they offer comes at a great value and you are provided with everything you need to to get your license.
Each package includes:
–45 minute sessions with pick up services
–5hr required class (Don’t worry they usually let you out early after forcing you to watch some videos from the fifties and eighties)
–A car for the road test (they also schedule the road test for you)
