What a fabulous place… Anna was wonderful and great with Rustom!

Giving this place five stars because they truly deserve it. My dog isn’t the easiest when it comes to trimming her nails but they can always get the job done. And when she cries they always ask if I’m okay with them continuing. Although the owner may not always seem to be in a happy disposition she knows how to do her job. She has yet to complain to me about my dog biting (which I know she does because she bites me when I try to trim her nails) and she is always polite.
This place has been great these past years!

I’ve been bringing my husky here for years. It’s the only place that she doesnt get anxiety attacks at.
They always do a great job and the prices are much lower than other places I looked at over the years.
Even after moving away from the neighborhood (and borough), I still make it a point to come back here to get my dog cleaned. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Worst service ever experienced. Anywhere you take your animal to, should be some what of a joyful place. This place is far from that, but it gets much worse.
We scheduled an appt for our cat to get groomed here for the 5^th time. When we bought her in, the lady said it would no longer be one hour, but now 2 – 3. Since we drove from Queens about 1 hour away, and waited 2 weeks for this apt, we agreed to wait. 3 hours later we went back only to find out the cat was NEVER started, and she would need 4 more hours. Considering the circumstances, this was quite a shock and super disappointing.
I explained that I was upset that we wasted an entire Sunday, and could have avoided this with a phone call after the cat was dropped off. The owners solution was simply to cancel the appt, after the day was wasted. She was the rudest, most inconsiderate person I ever spoke to, and I was blown away that she was the owner. I would NEVER EVER EVER use this place, and I would suggest you stay far away from anyone this messed up in the head. She was a complete a-​hole, w NO respect.
STAY FAR AWAY. Worth paying more to not deal with these fools.

I had a great experience here. I called last week and scheduled an appt over the phone. I took my cat there to get her fur un matted bc it was looking clumpy as my roommate who cares for her doesn’t brush her. She had some knarly knots and tufts that just felt almost like dreadlocks. The ladies at 4 paws were very sweet and took great care of my cat Cleo. They said she was well-​behaved and enjoyed the bath. I asked for her to be cleaned in a quick turnaround bc today i had to make my way to boston for the holiday, they finished in a little over an hour. When I took her home she was quiet and calm. She smelled nice and looks so clean and shiny! Totally smooth now and glossy coat. Reasonable prices as well! I have to say I am very happy with the ladies at 4 paws.

I’ve taken my Old English Sheepdog here a few times and each time she’s come back to me looking great and happy as a clam. The ladies here are prompt, thorough and do excellent work. Prices are market for Park Slope. Highly recommend.

I found 4 Paws on Unilocal and realized it was pretty close to my house, so I got an appointment and brought my Himalayan cat in for a groom today. He came out looking gorgeous and smelling beautiful! The ladies who work at 4 Paws are very sweet and they did a great job. The prices were reasonable and he seriously looks like a new stylin’ cat. I have found my new groomer!

Cuba had a great time getting his Schnauzer-​cut here. Great value for money! This is a very friendly, accessible, and unpretentious pet grooming salon in the vicinity of Park Snob, er, Park Slope.

I took my standard poodle here for the first time, and I am very please with our experience. Standard poodles are not easy to groom, but she looks beautiful. The owner listened to my instructions and did exactly what I asked for. Also, the prices are unbeatable for this area. Very pleased, will be back.

Awesome place! Both Ewa and Anna were very friendly and great with my Havanese. I didn’t have a particular cut in mind (just short for the summer, but not too short) and left it up to them to decide. When I came to pick up my Sophie, I couldn’t be more pleased. Her cut was perfect and she looked so happy. They even tied a cute bandana around her neck. Anna has quite the eye for grooming (and it’s especially hard to groom Havanese). Keep up the great work!

I’ve been bringing my Maltichon Koko to Anna for over 4 yrs and we love her! She is great with my pooch & he always gets a great grooming & awesome bath. She does exactly what you ask for & I get back a very happy & adorable looking boy. His cut grows out evenly & stylish. Thank you so much!

I have been bringing my dogs here for more than a year and i am always very happy with their baths. My dogs seem happy there, so I am happy!

I love this place, I tried several others in Park Slope and they where never good. I take Zero who is a 60 pound pit bull once a month m and he loves it. They’re super nice to him and do an amazing job.

Updating from our previous review: Although I felt the actual cut and prices were great here, we stopped coming here because our dog was acting freaked out to go, and the last time she saw him she acted like she didn’t want to deal with ‘that dog’. He is known to be extremely chill when being groomed, this is a dog who LIKES me to brush his teeth– but him crying and her glaring at him and actually clearly hesitating to take him in last time to where we said «we can go somewhere else.» warranted reason for us to take our business elsewhere. Again, I think she is very talented and reasonable– just doesn’t like all dogs.

I feel compelled to write a review since so many of these recent reviews are frighteningly (and weirdly) terrible! I had a wonderful experience at 4 Paws. My beloved miniature australian shepherd just had a bath, her nails cut and her butt hair trimmed, and she looks gorgeous. Anna is nothing but lovely — to me and to my pup. My pup cried when I left her (normal and expected behavior for my dog), but when I returned an hour later, she was calm and fluffy and happy as can be. And happy, clean dog = happy owner! I can’t begin to imagine what these other negative reviewers are talking about. I recommend 4 Paws Grooming Salon wholeheartedly!

This page is TERRIBLE. When I would walk up to the place my dog would start whining and shaking and I just thought she was nervous (being a new pet owner and all). Didn’t put two and two together until when I mentioned it to the owner afterwards her nails were cut way too short… Last time there… I have since moved onto another groomer… My ladybelle is very happy at her new groomer. Also the owner here is very rude. When questioned about things she advised me that if I wasn’t satisfied I could take ladybelle elsewhere. Glad I followed her advice!!! Note ladybelle happily goes to her groomer and loves it there!!! Good riddance 4 paws

This was our first experience with any groomer and I must say this place was great. We called last minute and got an appointment for Einstein and Lady. Anna and her assistant were very friendly and welcoming and was great with our babies. Their cut is great, they smell great and are very happy.

I have tried a few groomers, and I like 4 Paws the best. The groomer treats my dog really well (I can tell because he loves her!), and she really listens to what I want. My dog came back from previous local groomers with razor burn on his belly, but this groomer is much more gentle.
I sometimes take my dog here just for a trim or a bath (he is a therapy dog and has to be super clean for work), and the groomer is always honest about which services she thinks he needs/doesn’t need at the time. The prices are very reasonable, and the groomer has thrown in some freebees at times (like a free face trim when I brought a friend’s dog in for a bath).
I would give the place five stars if they had a better doggy gate to separate the grooming area from the waiting area. The gate is pretty makeshift and doesn’t seal the passage– makes me nervous that my dog could run out of the grooming area or even out of the store if someone opens the door.

I have a Rottweiler who had just gotten off the plane from Arizona and desperately needed a good clean. I chose 4 Paws for its convenient location and was not disappointed by the service.
Everything was done in the basic cleaning that every other groomer provides but the price was lower than any other quotes I received from nearby groomers.
My dog was cleaned well, happy and therefore I am happy.
That said, he is a rottweiler and doesn’t require any special trimming or cut work so I can’t attest to that aspect of grooming. Either way, it was a great experience and I will be returning
Follow Up: I just called to schedule a second appointment and the owner was so sweet and even remembered my dog even though its been two months! Great customer service. Great
