History
Established in 2004.
BRC began through the efforts of endurance coach Joe McConkey. Joe worked to bring together a network of health professionals that had a like-minded focus — to help runners run get healthy and run better. From 2004 – 2006 each professional worked independantly and would simply consult with each other to best serve the client. In late 2006, BRC expanded to have it’s own facility at 1678 Beacon Street in Brookline. With all BRC specialists now under one roof, communication became easier and quicker and the client/runner was better served. In 2009, BRC moved two doors down to 1682 Beacon Street as this space fit better to the needs of the coaches and training staff. Located at mile 23 of the Boston Marathon course, each year during the race Joe can be seen running back and forth from Cleveland Circle to Coolidge Corner, supporter and running alongside his runners.
