Zoltan Irving, MD

This unassuming practice behind montefiore hospital was recommended to us by my husband’s coworker, whose own child have been seeing said doctors since mere babe into teenagehood. With so many different pediatristians out there, why should you go to Dr. Zoltan and Dr. Igel? They are simply the best combination of medical acumen, generosity of spirit and real life experience to help make those well being check ups, shots and big or small illnesses not such an ordeal for child or parent.
I should mention that, as teaching doctors for Jacobi, they sometimes have interns/​residents in their practice to shadow them. I dont know if this is a sticking point for other parents, but for me, it tells me that they are dedicated to mentoring the future of their profession and continually striving to provide care that is most up to date in terms of what the american association of pediatrics and Center of Disease Control recommends. They also know what they are doing, with numerous years of experience in the clinical setting. This is something i have learned to greatly appreciate after having my daughter’s first doctor mistake her birthmarks for bruises. While I know her previous doctor was just erring on the side of caution, Dr. Igel’s experience helped us avoid such an incident (which he was incredulous to hear even happened to us… the birth marks were so apparent to him).
They always given their full, undivided attention to the child and answer all questions thoroughly AND the advice is always realistic. My baby is never too stressed during her check ups, the doctors do such an effortless job of checking her without stressing her out.
So grateful for both Dr. Zoltan and Dr. Igel and this practice. They are simply wonderful.

I wish Dr. Zoltan and Dr. Igel had been MY pediatricians when I was a child, but I’m more happy that they are my son’s doctors … the office is small which lends itself to the intimate rapport that is immediately established … I feel like I’ve known these doctors and their office managers my whole life! Dr. Zoltan and Dr. Igel are easy to get in touch with, reassuring and readily available to address questions and concerns (either by phone or in person) regardless of how minute they are. That’s not to mention that both take their time during our visits (spending upwards of 45 minutes to an hour with us) and are absolutely wonderful with my son.
