This was by far the best moving experience I’ve ever had. Kathy on the sales team was very helpful organizing everything prior to the actual move date. The movers were very efficient and quick and they were able to move everything within 1.5 hours (Manhattan to Manhattan). I would recommend this to a friend.

Altogether, one of the most affordable and most seamless moves.
Everything went as planned. I paid $ 350 for moving out, some $ 150 for storage for 2 weeks and $ 350 for moving in. This was amongst the cheapest prices you can find in Manhattan. The movers were quick. The first movers were a little aggressive and had issues whenever I asked questions or asked him to be careful and then asked for a $ 100 tip. However, Simply Moving was very nice about this and when I’d only politely informed them this (they ask to talk you after your move), they refunded it completely. I also got a $ 50 Unilocal discount. The second move was quick and perfect. I am very pleased with the service and would definitely use them a second time.

Never received a response to the e-​mail I sent requesting a quote. When calling, be prepared to provide information such as, how many boxes are you taking, how much furniture, rugs, ect. & try not to over estimate the amount of boxes you’re taking because they charge per box. I ended up going with another company that charges far less.

My move was from the Bronx to Westchester. I was so apprehensive because I’ve never used a moving company before. I must have called at least 3 times to change my moving date and to add /​subtract items from the list, and they were patient with me every step of the way. Moving day was off to a rough start bc my crew was running behind, but Marcos and Marian made sure to send another team on over. Humberto, Jose and Angel were helpful, optimistic, and super sweet. They got everything out of my apartment in less than 2 hours and into the new apartment just as fast. Not a single scratch on my walls, nothing was broken, everything intact, all items were placed in the proper rooms with me even having to direct them. They were even kind enough to assist me with things from my own car. Thanks, simply moving!

Omar and his crew moved me last Friday and they did an amazing job! They were fast, friendly and efficient. They even saw me moving something heavy (from a storage unit not associated with the move) insisted I stop and moved the item themselves! I was also very impressed that after the job Omar called the office (then passed me the phone) and I was asked how the job went; now this could have been awkward if it wasn’t a positive experience but no worries because the next day I received an email asking for my honest feedback! Moving is stressful and I’m extremely type A, but Simply moving lightened my load with a pleasant crew, fair price and efficient service!

This is by far the best moving company we’ve ever hired (we moved 5 times before). Very pleasant, very hard working crew. Extremely neat and clean. Very careful packing and unpacking. I’ll def hire them again and again and I’ll absolutely recommend them for friends.

Solid movers, no problems (that weren’t of my own making). We went fifth floor to fifth floor and they got all my belongings there undamaged. Another of my roommates used someone else and it didn’t go nearly as smoothly. These guys knew what they were doing.
The price was the same as the quote price.
Hard to think what else you need to know. No question, I would recommend them.

Arrived on time, was super fast and efficient. Would use them again and suggest them to anyone who is moving! Packed up my stuff in an hour and 15 mins unloaded it at the second location in less than 30 minutes.

This was one of our best moving experiences in NYC.
The crew was fantastic. Not only were they good at their job but they had a great attitude and we couldn’t help but notice how well they worked as a team. We used them for packing and moving services over two days. There were challenges with the elevator in the building we vacated, and then the couch didn’t fit through the door of our new apartment, but the crew leader stayed positive and didn’t break a sweat! Needless to say, everything worked out in the end. They even insisted on leaving the TV plugged in between packing and moving day so that our 3 year old had an outlet if she got anxious about moving. I hadn’t even thought of that! The only things I would have changed were maybe the way items were packed. A lot of stuff was really thrown into boxes, but I suspect that’s the standard when you’re using packing services. But after all was said and done, only two items broke in the move and they were easily replaceable. If not for that, this would be a five star review. Moving a family of four is not fun, but Simply Moving really made it as pleasant as possible, and that is worth a lot!

I used Simply Moving for a long distance move. It was a great experience! We had some glitches with the house closing, so I had to keep postponing the move. That was not a problem for Simply Moving. They were great about my constant calls about pushing it back.
my things were packed on a Saturday, and they arrived in Georgia the following Saturday. Everything arrived in good condition. The price was reasonable and the teams on both ends were great to work with.

Amazing amazing amazing!!! I’ve never used movers in my life and have always done it myself. This time I did lots of research and called many moving companies, but Simply Moving is by far the best. The service is impeccable. Everyone is courteous and to the point.

I booked my move very last minute, Rock got me scheduled on my target move date at a price that was well below several other moving companies. The process was very thorough, I got emails confirming the estimate, the move date, things to check with building management, etc. Mitchell and his partner arrived early (great!) and I was totally frazzled — they gave me time to finish last minute packing, helped me tape boxes, and maneuvered around two big dogs and all of my mess. The move couldn’t have gone more smoothly and Mitchell was very fun and pleasant! I loved that at the end of the move before they left Rock checked in to make sure I was satisfied, that nothing was damaged, and that they could consider the job complete. I used this place months ago to move from Queens to Jersey. They did a decent job. There were typical scratches but nothing major so I called again for another move.
And, there’s no loyalty for return customers. I was quoted nearly $ 600 to move less than a mile to an apartment a few blocks down. Yet, the price when I moved from NY to NJ was $ 450… Not only that but I’ve paid only $ 100 more to move all the way down to Florida!
Dont trust your moving to a business with horrible customer service that doesn’t care for the client. For that service, you think the price would match…

Everything went great from my first phone call to Simply Moving for a quote (Ronel was very helpful) through the end of the move. I was moving the contents of a 1BR apartment (2^nd floor walk up) in Brooklyn to a storage facility on Long Island. The quote provided was very reasonable. The movers (Roberto, Jose and Danny) were awesome. They were on time, fast and efficient. They wrapped and treated everything with care. They did come across some difficulty moving my huge couch through a tight doorway which I actually already knew would be an issue. They didn’t complain once and worked together to figure out how to get the mega couch out and were successful! They were all pleasures to work with and had great personalities. I plan on using Simply Moving for all my moves in the future. A+ all around!

After great feedback from two coworkers, I hired Simply Moving for a fairly basic move — just one room’s worth of stuff (no furniture) from a third-​floor walkup to a fourth-​floor walkup a few blocks away on the UES. The guys in the main office were up-​front about costs and timetables when I called to set up an appointment, and when I called back a week later with changes, they adjusted my (already very reasonable) quote with no hassle whatsoever.

My job was small but too much for a man-​with-​van: a few pieces of bedroom furniture going from one borough to another. Simply Moving was able to give me a price similar to a man-​with-​van and the date I wanted without any problem. I paid the deposit online with a credit card. On moving-​day morning, I knew the truck was on its way when my credit card was charged with the remainder.
Two guys arrived nearly on time (there was traffic, and they called to let me know). They were very friendly, worked quickly, wrapped my furniture well, and moved it carefully, including disassembling and reassembling the bed frame. Their truck and wrapping blankets were clean. There was no damage to any of my items. There were truly no hidden fees and no glitches. If they had gotten a parking ticket I wouldn’t have had to pay it or even share it. The whole process was stress-​free and pleasant. Very professional! Highly recommend!

I’d like to begin with the fact that the estimate was competitive and thoroughly done by the owner, Stefan. He answered his phone on a Sunday and was at my home one day later, providing a complete estimate with a walk through of my property.
My movers, Leo, Washington and Ricardo were outstanding as they went beyond the call of duty. Arrived on time, cared for my belongings as if they were their own, and worked non-​stop for over 10.5 hrs. They were also friendly and upbeat which says a lot about the company. It means Simply Movers treats its employees well.
I would recommend the company to my friends and family, without reservation. This was a true 5 star experience. A++.

Simply Moving = Simply Amazing
Simply Moving moved my girlfriend’s belongings from the Upper West Side to a storage unit in Northern NJ. The experience was Simply Amazing. The crew got to my girlfriend’s place on time and ready to roll. The guys were professional, pleasant and had a great sense of humor. The move was fun! They wrapped and treated every piece of furniture etc with care. What I thought would have been a five hour experience ended up being only 3 hours from start to finish. We even had the opportunity to do some Break Dance moves! (see pictures). Well, Simply Moving did while I stood by the sidelines cheering them on!
Price was reasonable and well worth every penny!!! This was my girlfriend’s second experience with Simply Moving. Her and I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Best moving experience ever! Flat rate with tolls, COI etc included — still came out as one of the cheapest quotes we got! We got a 2-​hour window for the movers’ arrival and they were on time. We had a lot of stuff with some furniture items as well — everything was quickly wrapped up and loaded. Unloading was done impressively quickly even though it was a third-​floor walk-​up. The movers were super friendly and positive! Will definitely use this company if have to move again.

These guys are not only «simply moving», but they should be called simply amazing, too. I just used them to move from a 6^th floor walk up studio to a 1 bedroom in Queens. Although there were 5 flights to climb up and down where I was moving from, and only 2 of them, they were very quick, they wrapped all my furniture and they handled all my belongings with so much care. Nothing left behind, nothing scratched, nothing damaged. And, by the way: they were both courteous and professional and the rate was more than fair. Overall, it was a pleasure using them. 5 stars across the board!

Great service. They came early in the morning and picked everything up. We had a lot of boxes and bags but they didn’t complain at all.
We had an Ikea closet that fell apart after installation and Stefan agreed to reimburse us the cost of the closet. WOW!

Simply moving made one of the most miserable activities in life (moving in New York) manageable and even somewhat pleasant.
The great service started when I called for a quote. Make sure you leave plenty of time for this call, because the dude literally had me count every single piece of furniture in my apartment along with me, figuring out how much space we would need in the truck and offering extra services like a wardrobe box so you don’t have to take off and re-​hang all of your clothes when you move (genius)!
The quoted price was a flat rate and though it was higher than some other quotes I got, I just trusted these guys more and they were way more thorough, and assured me there’d be no surprise costs.
These movers are amazing. There should be an Olympic event for moving big ass stuff down a 5^th floor walkup. There were only two guys which concerned me at first but they knew what they were doing, were friendly, and best of all thorough.
Just a couple of surprises that I chalk up to the wretched experience of moving: first, though we were told that they’d cover any traffic tickets that the truck got while moving us, the movers told us on the day of that if they got a ticket for parking in front of a hydrant that we’d have to pay. Not sure why it was an exception but luckily they didn’t get a ticket so it was all good. Second, there were a few small scratches on some of our stuff… a wooden coffee table, musical instrument cases, etc. It’s weird because they seemed to wrap everything up pretty securely but again, I think it’s impossible to avoid 100% of bumps and scratches when moving an entire home across the city.

Friendly, fast, and affordable. What more can you ask for? From the administrative staff to the movers, all Simply Moving staff were communicative, kind, supportive, and accommodating when there were last minute changes in my move. This kind of service and care is a rare gem of brilliance in a sea of mediocrity. I won’t be going anywhere else for future moves.

Move started out OK, even though movers arrived 30 minutes later than expected. There were 4 guys — 1 of them seemed to be the foreman since he didn’t do anything but check off on his manifest the pieces that were being taken to the truck. After a few hours he (the foreman) told me that the truck was full with all the items that they were to take according to what was on the manifest. Only problem was that there was at least ½ truck more of items to move. My wife and I were shocked when he told us that I would have to call his office to arrange the moving of the other items, and that it would cost more! We said, «What are you talking about? You have to come back and take the rest of the stuff, and what do you mean it will cost more?» Turns out that he didn’t know their Estimator, Guy, had actually come to our home and, seeing everything that needed to be moved, gave us a price. When he heard this he said, «Guy was actually here? He saw everything?» When we said yes he changed his tune and said that they’d be back later for the rest of the things at no charge! Hm.
Moving on, turns out they wouldn’t have the time to return because it was, after all, Christmas Eve, and the men wanted to get home. The office manager called me saying that there was another team with a smaller truck finishing up a job, and that they would be there in about an hour. Two hours later, I called to find out what was happening and was told that the other job was taking longer than expected and wouldn’t be coming. That said, we had to wait until the morning after Christmas to have the rest of our things moved.
So I understand the issue with it being Christmas Eve, but the foreman trying to squeeze me for more money was inexcusable. Make sure you have an estimator price the job before you sign, and try to get a guarantee.

Let me start by saying that my husband and I have moved 5 times in the last 5 years. We move for work and while we don’t relish the task there are movers who make it easier or more difficult by their proficiency or lack of it. Simply Moving were some of the best we have ever used. When we move again in a year or two we will definitely call them again.
These guys unloaded our truck with skill, speed and efficiency. They first took off and reassembled all our furniture and made sure that the placement was to our liking. It was only after that they unloaded the boxes. And they unloaded some things to our basement storage and other things (boxes for my husband’s office) into our car. They were willing to do whatever in order to be helpful. All that and they were still done in 2 hours for a two bedroom apartment’s worth of stuff in a 26 ft Penske truck. Add to that that we paid a very reasonable flat rate for the labor (and it came with a Unilocal coupon!) we were very pleased. Leo and his crew were awesome. Thanks, guys!!!

No matter how many times I moved, the process doesn’t get easier, especially when I have A LOT of stuff more than I’m willing to admit. So what do I do, decided to burden someone else with my stuff by giving them away to a friend. So here’s when Simply Moving came to the rescue! My friend called them up at 11pm on Saturday requesting a next-​day morning move before his flight out of town. I was sitting next to him when he called Simply Moving to ask for a quote and I didn’t expect anyone to accommodate such request at a budget let alone at 11pm on a Saturday for a next-​day move. Surprisingly, Stefan answered the call and in just a few minutes efficiently confirmed the appointment and even meeting my friend’s budget. «What?! No way it can go so smoothly as planned,» my pessimistic self said to my wary self.
Next morning, Sunday morning mind you, before 8am, I was informed two movers will be at my apartment within 30-​minute. What followed truly seemed too good to be true… Eddie and Michael were these two awesome movers who accommodated our odd and additional requests after requests. They treated every piece of item with amazing attentiveness and making sure all our needs were taken care of each step of the way (and we have A LOT of needs).
My friend and I can’t say enough positive words to praise their professionalism and customer service. We are still in awe and so grateful that Stefan, Eddie, and Michael turned our hectic last second moving plans into a breeze.

I asked to write a review for these guys because they were very competent in delivery but also refunded part of our move (one of the beds didn’t need to be moved and assembled). Also, there was a mix-​up on assembling a crib and instead of letting it dissolve or issue blame to the customer, they took responsibility.
Good job, definitely recommend Simply Moving. Moving is an arduous task, hard to trust the people you talk to, but we had a great experience with this company.

Very professional team and friendly. They help me move stuff to storage, I was very picky about the way I wanted it set-​up so I can find stuff when I need it but they were very patient and follow all my requests.
