Great movers! Much more reasonable prices than other companies I got quotes from, and they moved me quickly and efficiently! They even agreed to reassemble some furniture for me at the new place. I felt very comfortable with them and they did an excellent job!

I am so very happy I booked my move with prime meridian moving! I spoke with the sales rep Diane over the phone several times to set everything up and she always made me feel like I was a valued client. She catered to my every need promptly, and was so professional and sincere! Moving is stressful and she had a way of making me feel at ease… like I was in good hands.
My 2 movers were awesome! They worked really hard and made sure my things were handled with care. They were polite, professional, and broke down/​set up my furniture so quickly! You could tell them were pros with how they organized boxes, wrapped my furniture, and put random odds and ends into their own container! I would definitely recommend this company, ignore the bad reviews!

We hired Prime Meridian to move us from a well-​furnished 6-​room apartment in New York City to Virginia. Homitch, Lamont, Fred and the rest of the crew were terrific. They packed everything, including valuable antiques, with extraordinary care, loaded it without a hitch despite the complexity of getting through the basement of a small 100+ year old building in NYC, and then back up to the street. They started 9 AM one morning and drove 400 miles to VA, arriving at at 9 AM the next, completing everything by 3 PM. They are friendly, pleasant, helpful, reliable and reasonably priced. Moving creates a lot of anxiety, but it was needless with Prime Meridian.

I just used Prime Meridian Moving for an office move this morning, and I’m already « Unilocaling» with delight. Homitch is wonderful and made sure he had all of the necessary details from office #1 and office #2 — he asked questions to find out necessary details that both buildings forgot to mention, and I wouldn’t have thought of since I’m not a frequent mover.
Homitch checked in a day prior to confirm nothing had changed – and the morning of the move to make sure all was going smoothly. He made sure all was good from start to finish.
The lead on the ground was Daniel — and he was outstanding! He arrived early, called/​texted, and even offered to get me coffee. He was cordial, patient, and had a great sense of humor. His partner Icar was very friendly and efficient too.
The duo made the move super easy and even helped me arrange furniture that were not part of the move when we arrived to office #2.
The price was extremely fair and credit card processing made it much easier for me.
These guys were FANTASTIC — really trustworthy, packed carefully (including fragile electronics), and were on point at every step of the move.
A FULL 5 STARS — I’d give more stars if that were an option!

I planned the move 3 months ahead of time with prime meridian. Diane and Homitch were easy to work with and the price was very fair.
The moving crew arrived 830 on time as requested. Fast, professional. Tough move on a long hot day. They wrapped and protected the furniture and tv.
After the load in, I met the crew at the destination in the city. Took about 3 hours to unload and the time was past 6 pm. I tipped them well and sent them off
They had assembled the large furniture but we forgot to assemble the wall unit doors. It happens. A week later Homitch dropped by to complete the assembly.
Two glass door pieces must have broken or got lost in transit. Homitch sent me a check to make up for the loss.
Overall satisfied and recommend highly. Good 4 man crew for a tough move.

The items arrived on ⁸⁄₃. Two movers showed up and unloaded everything. They confirmed that they are independent contracts hired by Homitch so again. your move experience with Prime Meridian largely depends on who your move gets subcontracted to.
The positives overall:
* Person on the phone was very nice to work with
* Homitch came to our home and gave a flat rate estimate
*paying for the movers to pack our apartment was a lot cheaper than I thought it would be
*most items arrived in relatively good condition (especially all of the kitchenware, not one dish or glass was broken!)
The negatives:
* unreliable delivery date given, the second delivery window was reliable… if you need items by a specific date, you cannot rely on this mover at least for cross country move (might be the case for all moving companies in the summer/​busy time)
* uncertainty of what kinds of movers will show up to pack, move and unload your belongings, they could be great or they could be meh (might be the case many moving companies). Don’t expect anyone to arrive on time to either pack or move (parking those big trucks in the city is a nightmare!)
* my husbands dress shirts were in a wardrobe box. in which they also crammed one of the dining room chairs… so yeah, they may as well of rolled all his dress shirts in a ball and stuck them in a bag. They will all need to be pressed.
* the people unloading our table could not find the legs to the dining room table… oh well they said. hope they are in one of the boxes and left. Luckily we found them, although we don’t have the hardware to assemble them so we will need to go out and buy that to assemble our table.
* rugs were folded up instead of rolled and will need to be cleaned.
Moving is a stressful situation — especially if you have a kid (as we did) so I would hope there are movers out there who just handle everything. I would have paid more to have a reliable delivery date provided and our items packed with a bit more thought.
Good luck! If you are looking for movers (especially cross country) I do not envy your situation. One suggestion — Definitely buy the extra value insurance through a third party provider!

I recently used Prime Meridian movers for my move from Brooklyn to the City! PM Guys arrived on time, and were very efficient with moving my boxes and making sure all of my valuable items were wrapped well before the trip to the city. They were very fast with unpacking my boxes and helpful with anything I asked them to do. All valuable items arrived in one piece and no scratches. My new building required COI, which they provided within hours from my request. I highly recommend them and I will definitely use them for my next move.

These guys were simply awesome! They were on time and fully equipped. My flatmate and I did a double move from Hoboken/​Manhattan and onto Brooklyn and the team were fantastic. They arrived, wrapped items, dissembled furniture and delivered everything undamaged and super fast. They were careful and super polite even battling rain and our 3 floor walk up without complaint.
The price was competitive and Diane was fantastic. She arranged the booking seamlessly for us.
We would definitely use PMM again.

I cannot believe this moving company just accused me of writing a false review… if you were to look at your records, you would see my name and my local move in Manhattan on June 4^th.
As for the 30% off offer, why would I use this service again after a) being called a liar; and b) having such a terrible experience?
I am confused why you did not address any of my comments directly, but instead posted what appears to be a general «form» response. I guess you treat your public reputation the way you treat your customers. Close your eyes, hold out your hand and hope for the best.
This moving company deserves 0 stars. With so many others in New York and elsewhere, why risk it with them when you can find a better and cheaper alternative. Despicable.

My only task was packing and I’m exhausted! But I can’t imagine going up and down all those flights of stairs like my movers did. So thankful that I hired Prime Meridian Moving because I would not have moved so quickly and efficiently as I did without them! They were super nice, quick, and made sure that I was happy with my move. Everything was protected with matts, which meant no damage to tables and chairs. They will put your stuff where you want it to be. I’m a happy customer and would definitely use them again! :)

My experience with Prime Meridian Moving was great! They were able to coordinate with the elevator schedules imposed by the buildings I was moving into and out of without a problem. They packed up my whole apartment efficiently and unpacked when we got to the new place. The management was very responsive when setting up the move and the men that actually moved me were very professional. Prime Meridian Moving made the process so easy!

Can’t say enough good things about the Prime Meridian moving team. We arranged the move with Homitch a few days before we had to move, without any issue. The price was right and I felt confident they would get the job done right.
Turns out our move day was during snowmageddon 2015. Unsure as to whether we would be able to move at all due to the ‘blizzard’, Homitch assured me they would be there with extra shovels if needed, but we would be moving.
The guys showed up on move day with the truck and were very efficient in moving everything. It took longer than expected because of the snow and slow travel, but additional resources were sent once we got to our new home. The guys worked through the day without complaint until about 8 PM to get us moved in.
They were courteous, professional, well organized and speedy. I plan to use them again on our next move.

In the past I have rented a truck and got some friends together and moved. That would have been easier, even though most of my friends have died or moved away.
I emailed a list of the furniture I was moving, INCLUDING 20 small and 20 medium moving boxes and a wardrobe box.
They were recommend by a business associate. The price quoted was lower than what I expected. I thought it was because my friend got me a bargain.
When the crew arrived an hour and a half late, they were surprised at how much stuff I had. Their paperwork had no mention of any boxes, so they brought the small truck.
They fit what they could and we left the rest. I had to rent a u-​haul the next weekend and hire someone to help with the lifting.
The crew worked hard and they were nice.

I have hired this company to move my furniture. The last piece was a 300 pound marble table and they dropped on the staircase and table broke in dozen pieces. Even after that, I gave them 20% tip because I was told that they have an insurance and it will be taking care of. Today I get a call from the owner Homitch Grabowski saying that they will give me $ 180 for the table that is worth several thousands.
Is this the way that company deals with their clients? This will be resolved in court, so stay away from this company and don’t support this scamming business practices.

Great experience. They showed up on time and were professional and efficient. Nothing was damaged during the move. They were being paid a flat fee for «up to» 4 hours but didn’t dilly dally so we would have no choice but to pay them overtime (movers in NY have been known to do that).
They also disassembled and reassembled our pain-​in-​the-​ass bed and didn’t complain at all.
Two (small) notches in the minus column:
The contract imposed a 3% fee for paying with a credit card, but when it came time to pay they told my girlfriend (when i was out of the room) that it was 10%. My girlfriend corrected them, and I got the impression they were trying to play dumb about their own contract. But I wasn’t there, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
When I went to the ATM to get them their tip, they told me to make sure it was an amount they could split 40÷40÷20 amongst themselves. How is that my problem?
But that’s not enough to warrant docking a star. This was the smoothest possible move you could accomplish in Manhattan.

Last month Prime Meridian Moving was hired to move my apartment. Everything seemed fine until they started unloading. Some of the furniture was delivered damaged. When I asked the movers about it they told me that they dropped one of the pieces when loading it into the truck. I asked them how to go about getting it repaired. They told me to send them an email the next day and everything would be repaired or replaced. They refuse to answer my calls or emails. The only outcome I would like is to either have my furniture repaired of get reimbursed for the damaged furniture.

I found a piano on craigslist that I needed to get picked up ASAP from Westchester. I called around 5 companies and Prime Meridian gave me the best price and they were able to do it when I needed it to get done — the next day! Everything was on time and the movers were very professional. I think the piano weighs over 400lbs but they were able to get it into my manhattan apartment no problem.
I have since used the company again for other moving needs and have recommended them to several friends. I recommend this company for any size move in and around NYC.

³⁄₂₇ update: Only after moving an expensive piece of furniture do we see a huge split down the side. Are you freaking kidding me??? Lose 1 star.
²⁄₄: We agreed to have Prime Meridian pack (Thursday) and move (Friday) our entire apartment. We were very detailed about the rules for both freight elevators. Though the communications prior to the move was stellar (very detailed on our part) and the actual team was very professional, there were several problems:
1. only 70% of everything was packed on packing day: 3 guys showed up on time (and as promised) but Mangagement pulled 1 off the job at hour 3, and 1 at hour 5. Homitch told us packing would take 3 men, 5 hours. After 7, it was not done.
2. I was then told 5 guys would be there at 8am: 1 was there at 8am, the 2^nd at 8:20…The truck was an hour late, instead of 9. Stuff arrived at the new place at 2:45 — not noon! Though management was very aware, they did little to make it right.
3. We told them the move had to be completed at 5pm… it was finished at 6pm.
4. Some planning, but deliberate self-​sabotage on their part.
5. If we didn’t watch the glass/​breakables, a good portion would have been broken.
The price was not cheap — just value priced. And for the $ 1800+ we spent, I feel it was a C-​job.
Fred was outstanding! And Carlos was the most efficient packer I’d ever seen. Things were run by Homitch… not by the movers themselves.
