Brookside Pizza Restaurant

This place thinks it’s in west hartford center, but it’s actually a small town pizza shop. First time we ordered mozzarella sticks they were some other weird cheese, not the same color, not the same texture and not the same taste. We returned them and they replaced them, which was cool. Pizza was always pretty tasty too. A friend ordered a big salad with added shrimp, there were only 3 shrimp. My boyfriend called to tell them this was crazy, and a angry man stated it was for the small size salad and that she wasn’t charged the large size portion. She checked her receipt and was definitely charged for large size. Last time we ordered we ordered eggplant parm which does not come with pasta… For the price it definitely should have! It was a square piece about the size of my fist — I wouldn’t have minded if it was good but it was terrible and dry and mostly cheap breading. We called to see if it was a mistake forgetting the pasta, an angry man told us it doesn’t come with it and hung up. I don’t think many customers would be happy with that at all. My grandfather would roll over in his grave if he heard the former Elaine’s was serving Parmesan meals sans pasta. Oh well we tried to give them a chance but this place is not for us.

mozzarella sticks are huge, I had the the chicken gyro and really enjoyed it. Chicken wings are very tasty. The only complaint is that they let people smoke in the men’s room… so gross…

Brookside Pizza is fantastic. Everything is fresh and delicious, and the staff is nice and friendly. We started with the chicken wings, which are succulent and rich in flavor (try the garlic parm and the honey teriyaki). Then they brought out the mozzarella sticks, which are more like mozzarella logs, because they’re HUGE, and oozing cheesy goodness. Then we finished with a classic meatball pizza and the chicken Alfredo. Both pizzas were fantastic: crispy crust, milky cheese, and juicy toppings. Can’t wait to go back. Way to go, Jim and Evelyn. You’ve got a winner on your hands.

First place to deliver in this area in a while! They deliver after 5pm. Food and service was great. Prices are good too. We are happy to finally have a delivery place in the neighborhood!

Great food awesome baked potato pizza. Under new ownership and they are doing a great job! The bar is cleaning up the old clientele making the bar area a great place to meet your neighbors.

This restaurant is friendly, I do not go to the bar there, but I do enjoy their food, good meatball, Philly cheese, Grilled chicken cutlet and any type of sub’s/grinder’s are all good. The pizza is good and they use fresh ingredients. Elaine the owner is always pleasant and kind, family owned and operated business, worth trying out.
