I go here often for lunch since I work right around the corner. I love their grinders. And the wings are so good. I’m not a huge fan of the pizza but that is just me my friends like it. I recommend a visit to Astros

One of the best calzones in the area! Generous portions & reasonably priced. The owner Steve has been serving consistently good meals here for many years. They also have take-out which are the same quality/portion ad you would receive while dining in. Give this place a try.

Whenever I’m visiting family in Northern Connecticut, pizza from Astros is a must! Everyone who works there is super friendly and the restaurant has a home-y vibe. Their calzones are also slammin’.

Love Astros! Great neighborhood spot with tasty food and fast and friendly service. Great value with the portion sizes. Definitely my go-to for any meal. Good selection of beers as well! Don’t miss this place.

Just OK. I lived less than five minutes away from here and I’d rather make the drive into town or go to other places that have better pizza and more quality to the ingredients. Plus, it’s a little overpriced. I bought the Swedish meatballs dinner and the portions are tiny, not to mention the food itself was way over-salted. As for the pizza, the dough was a little soggy and flimsy, and nothing in the menu selection made this place really stand out from the numerous other pizzerias in the area. Overall, the location is convenient because it’s right on Rte. 5 and easy to find, but you can do better with other places to eat nearby.

Passed through town and was lucky enough to find this local gem. Fantastic fresh pizza hand made by the generous owner. A rare treat you can only experience at a family owned restaurant. If you’re tired of the pre-made frozen crap that most places deliver, stop by and try a pie. With the generous portions, I wasn’t able to try the Calzones, but saw someone at the table next to us eating one. Looked fantastic and fresh. Will certainly make it a point to stop by anytime I’m in the neighborhood!

Good calzones. I ordered a pepperoni calzone. It was ready in 15 mins and had generous amounts of ricotta and mozzarella. Nice puffed crust and side of sauce which although a light meat sauce, it worked.

I forgot about Astros for a few years, glad to have remembered them. If you’re disappointed with Enfield restaurants give them a try. Food tastes like I remember it which was very nice, not greasy and cheap like too many pizza places are today. Generous portions.

Astros is one of those places that you will really miss if its not there anymore… yet when it is there we take it for granted. I sense the crowds are down at Astros from where they once were and I don’t know why. went there for takeout the other night… i had the delicious meat ravioli… covered in mozzarella cheese. delicious and served piping hot. my wife had the lasagna and savored every bite. my son had a small pizza… said the sausages and cheese were delicious. the included salads were fresh and the garlic bread was warm and tasty. prices might be a tad high for some… but the quality seems like its worth it. the restaurant is spacious and attractive but most folks seems to order«to go». I’ve been going here for 25 years plus… never had a bad meal.

Anywhere else this place would get 3 stars but there are few if any good restaurants in or around enfield ct. Food is good, not great, but good for an inexspensive night out for dinner.

This restaurant has not been updated since the 70’s. The booths and tables are caked with decades of filth, some seats are torn, the carpet is severely stained and the place wreaks. But I had starving kids and decided to stay and order. The sauce that came with our obviously long-term frozen fried mozzarella square was rancid. It smelled like it had been made a week ago and kept out ever since. I instructed my children not to eat it and we pushed it aside. When our pizza came, the waitress said, «Are you done with your appetizer?» and she took it away, no questions asked. Again, because it was late and my kids were starving, we ate the pizza. I could only stomach two pieces and my kids and my wife only ate one piece each. We wrapped the rest to go and darted out, paying for the«freezer to fryer to table» mozzarella and rancid sauce because we just wanted to get out of there and feared that the incompetent server would have taken the rest of the evening to take it off our bill. The next day was an adventure. All four of us took turns using the restroom and my youngest daughter cried for about two hours with intense stomach pain. I examined the pizza we took home and realized that the sauce was also rancid. They had covered it up with a huge amount of salt which masked the flavor as we were eating it. I have no idea how this place can stay in business. It should have been shut down years ago. They are going to kill someone. The absolute worst restaurant experience I have EVER had.
