This old gal is I need of a facelift and better food. The restaurant itself is old and tired. Chairs with ripped vinyl, dirty rugs. Just awful. They had our table in the corner and the server ended up reaching across the table. Then we ended up passing plates. Fining dining? I think not. Georgines was always known for the portion size. In this day & age big portions are just wasteful. The worst offense about the whole thing was the quality of what we had ordered. We received an iceberg lettuce salad that looked as though it would be brown in 5 minutes with 1 small slice of cucumber & one grape tomato. There are so many great lettuces and vegetables but they serve a tired 1950’s style salad. The rest of our food was eh. Nothing to write home about. I will not return, ever!

Love the food here, but this place needs a scrubbing. Nevermind the old décor, there are thick layers of dust on the chandelier, sticky parts of the restaraunt like ledges and railings, etc.

The best lobster tails with stuffed crab meat on the planet! 3 big tails that melt in your mouth. Steaks are phenomenal. Have to say I’m not impressed with the seating arrangements. We sat in the corner both staring at a wall. The side dishes weren’t as good as they use to be from 4 years ago when I was first there.

Service is hit or miss. Food is decent depending on what you get. Prices are a little high for the atmosphere it is. It’s definitely old and in need of updating.

I went to Georgine’s for my Pop’s 83rd birthday. My Aunt bought an expensive cake that said, «Happy birthday Pop/Dad». We were a party of 12 and we sat at the bar waiting for the whole party to get there. We were at the bar for 30 minutes beyond our reservation. We were told our table would be ready soon & the other party had already paid & we were waiting for them to leave so the Staff can set the table. When we approached the tables I was shocked to see a round table in the corner with 6 chairs, next to a small square table that sat 2, next to another round table with 4 chairs. I didn’t want to make a stink about it bc we were all hungry and just wanted to start ordering. I felt bad for my family at the table of 6 bc they were squished. The décor is the same as it was 13 years ago. This is an old people magnet. I am happy we didn’t have to sit upstairs bc my Pop can’t climb stairs & it is so rickety you feel like you might fall through the floor. I don’t have anything bad to say about our waiter. He was excellent. He got rid of dirty plates & was helpful with giving his opinion on the menu. By the way, the menu is NOTITALIAN!!! Now here is where I get annoyed, my boyfriend told me to get the surf & turf. The menu says«Market Price». I asked how much it would cost & the waiter responded with, «Uh, like $ 60ish.» I almost choked on my water. My boyfriend said it was fine. Well my filet mignon was over cooked. The two lobster tails had no flavor. And it came with a salad & that’s it. No vegetables. Now a bunch of my friends said that they do family style veggies. No, they gave the other table vegetables but not the two round tables. That was NOT a $ 60ish meal! Ok, now here is were I was fuming mad but just smiled uncomfortably. They cut my Pop’s cake and served it to another table! Are you serious?!? Some Italian accented guy came out of the kitchen saying everything will be ok. He will fix everything. He served us the last 5 slices of the cake my aunt brought with us & then gave us ice cream cake. I am not sure how often something like this happens but I think he should have knocked off a decent amount off the bill. Or at very least have everything my Pop ate comped. When we split the check up it was $ 94 per couple. We paid for Pop. I do not think I will return any time soon. This is like a glorified diner that only senior citizens love. Extremely expensive. Two stars is generous. The reason for 2 if for the crab imperial that my boyfriend got.

After waiting for over an hour to be seated on a Saturday, we were put upstairs at a corner table near the aisle so when people walked by they almost would knock me out of my chair. Where we were seated also was very loud. As a matter of fact, the whole place seemed loud. Regarding the food, the bread was good with the chive dip, salad was small and so so, just iceberg lettuce and a tomato. Two of us had the beef stroganoff. The cut of beef you could tell was not a good cut, tasted tough and almost like it was boiled. The only good part was the mushrooms as the brown sauce had no taste. Overall a bland dinner. Waiter asked if everything was ok, I made a face and he asked what was wrong. I told him it tasted bland. He apologized but did not offer me anything else and did not offer to take the food back. I could have insisted and asked for the manager but didn’t want to embarrass anyone at our table, so I peppered it and just ate the noodles and left all the meat on the plate. The other person at our table had the veal oscar. They said it was also bland. They also charged us for a refill on our drink! Will not be back.

me and my family usually go here every year for an after Christmas dinner. this year we went for my uncles birthday, still the same great food and service. I usually dont like expensive nice restaurants like this but i enjoy this place. I got some kind of grilled chicken in a white wine sauce with asparagus for 14.99. All of the prices are usually 13.99, 14.99, 15.99 or even 16.99 a person depending on what you order. Definitely recommend this for a nice evening out with great quality food

We were seated right away on a Saturday and the service was average. The bread they bring out comes with two dips which are really good. I enjoyed a vegetarian pasta dish which wasn’t on the menu and I always appreciate that they’re willing to work with my dietary needs. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his clam casino and steak. He’s been coming here for about 10 years and this is my second time, and he says they’ve had consistently great food over the years.

Been years since I’ve been here and will be the last time I come back. Came for Fathers Day and sadly they had only a prefixed menu. Would of been nice if this was posted on their website or even told they will be doing this when we called for reservations. Ruined the choices of things to get, I remembered loving years ago. For starters the place was packed as expected and they sat us in the comedy room. Where different family’s had to sit together at long tables. NOAIRCONDITIONING! very uncomfortable. After ordering it took us a half hour to get our soup and salads. This was also the next time we only got to see our waitress. When we got our soup and salads. After that point another 40 minutes later to get our dinners. Again, our waitress never came to the table between that time either. Our service was just horrible and left ignored while waiting drinks etc. My wife’s dinner was made wrong and had to wait another 10 minutes for a new one. Dinners overall were pretty good and nice portions as it is also what they are mainly known for. After dinner we had a choice of dessert and I chose the strawberry cheesecake. Tiny piece and holy hell was it bad. It was so warm like it was sitting out for hours and had like a whipped cream consistency. It also wasnt until after my first and only spoonful of it, that I noticed the end of it had a nice long piece of black hair garnished across it(pic in photo gallery). This place will NEVER see me back here again.

Never had a bad meal there. Great value and amazing service. Their veal parm is the signature dish as well as their broiled crab stuffed flunder. For appetizers i recommend the clams casino. Their steaks are also fantastic.

This is the type of place I would aspire to run if I was in the restaurant business. Let’s skip the food and stuff for a moment. The staff looks happy. That speaks volumes. The hostess looked happy, the waitress looked happy, the busboy looked happy — and it wasn’t because it was a slow night and they were eager for our tips — far from it, it was rather busy for a Tuesday night, which was rather a surprise. I ordered snapper soup, apple sauce(not a salad guy) veal parmesan, and dessert. Everything was spectacular. The sauce tasted fresh and was nicely seasoned — definitely not something off a truck like another reviewer suggested. As soon as you sit down, they bring you over bread, two types of butter, and then packets of butter. I go for the packets of butter. After you’ve had a few minutes to peruse the menu, a friendly waiter or waitress comes to take your order. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, this isn’t the place for you. Surf & turf, steak, and veal are what this place is known for, and the quantities are huge. You simply cannot leave hungry. This isn’t the type of place for a night out, or a weekly thing… save it for a family gathering, date night, special occasion, etc. As for the prices — my dad and I had pretty much the same thing. We paid a little over $ 60 including the tip… and we had dessert. I first came to Georgine’s as a young child, and I look forward to many more trips here. By the way… I don’t know if it’s the design of the building, or other means, but to help with the ambiance, your cell phone won’t work. There is no signal in there, and it feels good to disconnect.

Ate here for a family dinner tonight. It was pretty good, the portion sizes are HUGE!!! It should probably be family style. The food tasted very good. I had salmon and asparagus, too much butter in my opinion. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals too. We had thirteen people and our waiter was great!!! Totally on top of it game. I’m a beer person and I was sad to see that the options were extremely limited. Def would be a 4 star review if they had better beer!!! Haha

So this place is outdated but one thing is for sure, it’s packed out the door every weekend so they’re def doing something right. The food is amazing! They serve a «cheeseboard» which is some good hot ilatian bread with a pesto and cheddar cheese spread. All of the soups I’ve tried are great(lobster bisque, french onion, broccoli cheddar, cream chicken rice) and the entrees I’ve ever had were amazing as well but I seem to always get the Chicken Parm bc it’s so darn yunmy! My bf had the pecan chicken which was AMAZING. It’s three huge chicken beasts coated in breadcrumbs and topped with a dijon sauce. so good. The steaks are cooked perfectly and are so thick. Seriously the best steak I’ve had in a LONG time. It’s an inexpensive nice place to goto dinner.

Gross, If you want a large amount of tasteless off the Sysco truck food than this is the spot for you. It all I can say about the place. My husband’s family take us there every time we are in town, even when we suggest somewhere else. First, they won’t seat you until your whole party is present. Second, they slap down a pile of menus on the middle of the table for everyone to hand out to each other. Then comes the bread and«cheese» board. Supposedly a big deal considering they charge you extra if you want more than the complimentary loaf. But let’s be honest it’s basically French bread from corner store and a cream cheese pimento spread. Salad: gross. Main, I had a tasteless pecan chicken. Although it was nicely cooked, aside from the pecans there was no flavor. I can’t speak for the rest of my family because it was so loud in there that I couldn’t hear to speak to anyone. Or wave my hands to get their attention, they pack you in like sardines and you have to eat T-Rex style. Basically it is a place that grandparents take you when they want a nicer place to eat, an up Scale diner.

Celebrated my dad’s birthday this evening so my mom chose to go here. We arrived to find no hostess standing there. At the bar was a bartender and sitting on his butt was a busboy. After a few minutes, they disappeared. After 5 minutes, the hostess finally arrived. She asked if we could handle the steps, so we said fine. She started us in then said wait one second. she disappeared and came back and led us to a table in the corner, near the steps. She plopped our menus in a pile on the table and left. We sat down and my dad handed us our menus. We waited about 3 – 5 minutes for the server to show up. I don’t think I ever had a server say«sup?» to me before. This place was not, I repeat NOT busy but service was so freaking slow. Took forever to get water, took forever to place our drink orders and other things. Oh and my sister’s caesar salad smelled like baby formula… it was a gross smell. I gave two stars because the crab dip was actually good and so was my shrimp.

Dinner here last night was Awesome, have not been back here in many years. We were not disappointed. Food was great, service was great, price even better. If you have the opportunity to come here for dinner, I highly recommend. They specialize in veal or chicken dished, many to choose from. Also Steak with many options. You can’t go wrong, reservations are a very good idea and you will be taking home leftovers for sure.

Georgine’s is the type of place grandparents love, because it’s like a classy diner, the food is consistent, and you get a lot for your money. And if your grandparents are anything like mine were, the cigarette machine doesn’t hurt either. Because of the classy diner status, Georgine’s seems to be a to-to for special family dinners, since the price is right and there’s something for everyone. My family and I went here for Easter this year and had a nice experience. With reservations it room about fifteen minutes to get a table. But once we were seated everything else came quickly. Really the only problem I had was that at times it was too quick, but I guess that’s to be expected on Easter. The bread and cheese they put on the table is quite tasty. They serve hot bread with two butter/cheese hybrid things, one a cheddar flavor the other chive. For an average price of maybe $ 22, we could choose a complete meal from the fixed menu. Their fixed menu however had plenty of offerings, so everyone was happy. I got seafood au gratin. The soup and salad that came with the meal were fine. The entrée was quite good. The size was generous and it was very filling. The vegetable situation however was strange. Basically they cut up a big potato and set it in the middle of the table«family style.» Hopefully that’s just for fixed menu nights. Georgine’s would not be my first choice for a date night, but for a family get together or a holiday that no one wants to host, it’s a solid choice.

We have eaten here many times over the years and it is obvious to us that it is slowly going downhill. It’s hit or miss with the wait staff. Some servers are friendly and some are snotty. The hostess is usually unfriendly if you can find her. There is always a wait to be seated because of its past reputation of good food, large portions and medium price. That’s not the case today. They do bring you good bread with 3 different spreads. That’s about the only thing that has stayed consistent. Even the bowl of potatoes and vegetables they bring for the table to share has gotten smaller. They are slow bringing out the food and the kitchen makes a lot of mistakes. The last 3 times we have eaten here they did not get our order right. Most recently my husband used THEIR steak preparedness scale to order his steak«medium» which, on their menu, was described as «pink». The steak came out VERYRARE. He sent the steak back and it came back RARE. Why can’t they follow their own scale? I had the stuffed flounder. I expected to find a bone or two. There were 12 bones in this flounder. Constantly pulling these bones out of my mouth made it very difficult to eat like a lady. And honestly, it was not really great and lacked flavor. The clams casino appetizer we had was nothing to brag about either. After this last experience, I think we are finally done eating at Georgines. We will continue to go to the comedy club there which is excellent.

Garbage, pizzeria quality food. Everything tastes like it came out of a can or bag from Costco or some other large chain. What was prepared was overdone and bland obscene portions don’t help when the food is awful. You’d have a better, more classy experience eating McDonalds at the Bristol Warf.
