Jericho Moving & Storage

We contracted Jericho to move some furniture that we bought from a local retailer. For a $ 100 delivery fee, they told us that they would be there sometime after 9am the next day. They would not give us a definite time or even time range.
At 3pm the next day, we called to see why they hadn’t showed up. After about six rings on their main line, we were transferred to some answering service that could only tell us, «we’ll forward your message». We tried calling back multiple times that afternoon/​night and they only picked up the phone twice. Both times they gave us that message.
We did not hear from Jericho until 9pm that night, telling us that they would not be able to come by tonight due to «unforeseen circumstances» and that they would have to come out the next day. We weren’t able to leave the house because we had no idea when they would be arriving so we wasted an entire day. What moving company gives no time estimate and waits until the last second to tell you that you’re running late?
To make matters worse, we called the manager to negotiate a lower rate because of all the trouble. He made excuses and refused to make it right. From his explanations, it was not their fault because multiple customers made them, «rearrange their entire living room to deliver one piece of furniture» earlier in the day.
Overall, our impression was that this company is managed rather poorly and we will not be doing business with them again because of their refusal to make it right. The delivery guys, once they arrived, were polite and courteous, which I appreciated and is the reason that I gave this company two starts instead of one.

These guys are AMAZING!!! They are punctual, professional, sweet, mannerly and helpful!!! LOVED this moving experience and that is a first!!!
They came in below estimate and were so fast!!! The price was really great too.

My fiancée and I are moving into our new place, and Jericho helped both of us. I hired them because my apartment complex recommended them; they were very quick, courteous, and professional, and their estimate was dead-​on. They were especially helpful given that I wasn’t nohow finished packing, and kept going to them with «just one more thing»…
I recommended them to my fiancée, and she scheduled an appointment – they fit her in to the schedule on very short notice, and handled her move extremely well. (They also accommodated a last-​minute change, taking away and dumping a mattress that it turned out we didn’t need, for an appropriate additional fee.)
Very glad to recommend them to anyone who needs a mover!

These guys are totally professional, polite, careful, efficient, speedy, and have great pricing to boot!
They sent 4 guys to move my 2+bedroom condo in Cow Hollow to our new house in the south part of the city. The condo was up 2 flights of very narrow and sharp-​cornered stairs and they aced it.
Their price per hour was better for 4 guys than most of the other highly rated places quoted for 3 guys.
If I ever have to move again, I’m using them for sure!

This review is for moving on Oct 27, 2012 from Daly City to Union City for a 1-​bedroom apartment. Three people came to help us. They were on-​time, quick and efficient. Finished everything within the minimum of 3 hours charge. A bit more paper work than expected but it’s understandable. I would highly recommend the service to anyone looking for a professional mover.
