Depending on the specifics of your event, Evan can tailor a performance that will leave your guests with unforgettable memories. After speaking with the host to understand his or her hopes for the get-together, Evan will provide a show based on the following styles:
Close-Up Magic
This is magic performed for small groups of people; everyday objects are manipulated to create the impossible only a few feet from the guests. Close-up magic is ideal for cocktail hours and receptions, and can be performed walking around from group to group or while guests are seated at tables during a meal.
Stand-Up Magic
In this more traditional show format, magic is presented to all the guests at once for a predetermined length of time. While stand-up magic is often meant for larger crowds, Evan can create a custom performance for smaller groups that still want to experience a complete magic show.

There are tricksters, and then there are magicians. Evan Northrup takes a background in traditional illusion and infuses it with contemporary creativity.
At the age of 15, Evan took to the streets for a trial-by-fire education in live performance… and failed spectacularly. After earning a few dollars in pennies and nickels, he was determined to improve. The years that followed took him through four countries, presenting thousands of street performances, to eventually earning his stripes. Moving off the sidewalks, Evan now performs in a host of indoor venues, entertaining at weddings, corporate get-togethers, private parties and special events.
From reimagining traditional magic to envisioning and fashioning original pieces of impossibility, Evan Northrup puts a refreshingly modern spin on the true classics of magic.
