Very friendly and helpful staff! Wilson Martinez helped me pick out my car and was able to set me up with the best deal compared to other dealerships. Also, accommodated me while my own car was ready to drive! Awesome people!

These guys are crooks. I came in for an oil change and inspection sticker and asked them to look into a check engine light. They want to charge me $ 130 just to look at the light. I told them to forget but he said the inspection would fail so I am screwed and have to pay. Feel like they are just ripping me off.

I have been going to Acura of Boston for a approx. 1 year for maintenance. The major pros to going to their dealership for service is they contact you for scheduled maintenance and you can get a loaner vehicle if more time is needed to fix your vehicle. I have only worked with two «service advisors» at Acura, Peter Mark and Ben Kamerman — I would highly recommend either of them. Both of the aforementioned advisors, I believe, are honest with what needs to be done and what repairs can wait. They also do a great job of explaining why specific pairs are more urgent then others. As a female who knows very little about my car’s interior, I truly appreciate their work! The cons, which have been mentioned in other posts, is the price — it is expensive and if you plan to wait for the service to be completed, be prepared to wait for a couple hours (hence, 4 stars). But, I think it’s worth it because my car always drives better when it leaves their lot.

No exaggeration regarding the rating. I bought a 2014 Acura MDX from here and till now, have always serviced over here (total about 4 or 5 interactions) because no other dealerships works out with my schedule and location. Except for one nice guy in the service department, every time I came out with some frustrated experience.
Regarding buying — their Finance guy kept me waiting outside his room for 2 hours only to tell that he could not service me later because he had another appointment.
I had a reimbursement of about $ 1000 during sales which took me about 5 or 6 calls and more than 2 months of followups to get back the credit.
Regarding services — There is one nice guy in the service department — has an Asian face. He always seemed to be very helpful and kept me updated on the service timings. Rest all guys seemed to think they are veterans and not be bothered at all with customer frustrations.

First instance — they told I had a free oil upgrade and then charged me for it. To their credit, they had put the amount on the bill, but I didn’t see it while signing up because I verbally confirmed that oil change was free. Took me a lot to challenge and get it credited. To my credit, there was enough oil remaining and I only did the oil change because it was free and I didn’t want to come to the service center for another oil change in 3 months. The service guy was aware of it and didn’t guide me in the right direction. He only encouraged me to change the oil. And their oil change was about $ 120, folks…
Second instance — they said service will take 2 hours and after 2 hours with no updates in the middle, they said they could not diagnose the problem and wanted me to come another day. Didn’t even give me a chance to ride with them and pinpoint them to the problem.
Third instance — they repaired one thing and as part of car cleaning, changed how the reading lights operated. Me being ignorant, thought that they did something to the wiring and took it back to them. Again — 2 hours time for repair. 2 hours+ with no updates in the middle. When I checked, the service guy said that it was just a matter of turning switches in a specific way and they will have the car out after cleaning in another 2 hours. And the place didn’t even had many customers at that time.
If you want to enjoy their lobby for no reason and don’t want to be disturbed for hours, you can continue to take the car there. But otherwise, their sales and repair services are horrible. And all this for an Acura dealership that prides itself in great service !! Don’t think anyone really cares about what that means.

I purchased two cars from Boston Acura and both from the same salesman.
I returned because of a great experience that was repeated in the last purchase.
The manager was professional and low pressure. He did his job and still respected me and My Wifes position. The salesman, Demetri, was professional and an excellent people person that is very knowledgeable on what he sells. He was very low pressure. Spent as much time as we needed to purchase and then spent 30 minutes with me after the sale teaching me the Tech package then when my wife showed up and he spent 45 minutes with her doing the same. This was after he was done for the day.
Oh and after he personally picked up our car in there Framingham lot. He said he wants to make sure we get a perfect car and by driving it and looking it over we would.
I have purchased many cars and trucks, in my 58 years, including fleet purchases. Believe me it does not get better than this experience. Salesman don’t get any better than Demetri.
BOSTON ACURA heard what I said I wanted and worked a very good deal that gave us 4500 off on the new car and 1800 more for my trade based on the 1^st offer I got at prime. I will go back next time around, Hope Demetri is still there and they change the mode of operation in the finance office.

HORRIBLE experience — unprofessional waste of time — THEY set reasonable expectations via Internet and phone then proceeded to miss them all within 10 minutes in person.
The specific car I had confirmed for a test drive was nowhere to be found so they tried a bait and switch leaving me waiting for 15 minutes, then a very poorly-​trained and seemingly inexperienced salesperson telling me I did not need to test drive on the highway (!!!).
I drove back to the dealership immediately, walked out, and cannot ever imagine doing business or seeking service here. Ironically, I liked the actual RDX vehicle and will go find one at a dealer with greater integrity to give it a full evaluation before completely writing off Acura forever as a purchase option.

The star rating on this review is difficult because it encompasses my experience with Acura of Boston as a whole, and includes both value and service. Overall, would I recommend this place to a friend? Probably not. However, if money isn’t a problem, then Acura of Boston could be a good fit.
**In terms of service, they are professional and competent.** Their office is clean and comfortable.
**In terms of value, they are poor.** Service prices here can be 2 – 3 times as expensive as other shops. While I expect dealer service to be more expensive than an independent shop, I feel that only a price premium of 1.5x for dealer service is reasonable. Given the large price difference compared to other shops, I feel that the dealer is taking advantage of customers; however, that might be the cost of a free cup of coffee and snacks in the Acura waiting room.
Overall: if price is a concern, I would suggest getting multiple estimates from other dealers and independent shops before settling on Acura of Boston.

I bought my 2013 ILX from them but this is a review for their service shop.
Overall, I am happy with the quality of work performed, but utterly disappointed by how their shop is run. Couple of examples:
* Dropped car off for basic oil change in the morning and was advised to pick it up later that day. Took shuttle to work and came back an hour after the promised time. As they were getting my car ready for pickup, they realized that the technician had left the lights on and the battery was completely dead. Had to wait an hour at the dealership as they were scrambling to fix it. I ended up escalating the issue and got a refund for the service.
* Dropped car off for basic oil change in the morning and took shuttle to work. Scheduled shuttle for a pickup at Kendall Square at 4pm. Waited for the shuttle for almost an hour, and no one showed up, despite getting verbal confirmation from the office staff that they will pick me up (called them every 15 minutes while I was waiting). After an hour, furious, I called the office only to find out that they forgot to pick me up. I spoke with the manager and demanded that they deliver my car at home and wave off my service charges. They obliged.
This is an Acura dealership — a brand that prides in being detail oriented. These are nothing but trivial solvable issues. They need to get their act together.

I recently purchased a 2012 Certified Pre-​Owned Acura TSX from Ed Mertins and I must tell you, it was darn close to a perfect car buying experience across the board and I’ve purchased quite a few. Ed is fun to chat with, extremely knowledgable, and I never felt pressured to rush any decisions. I’ve been driving my new car for nearly two days now and this Acura is fast becoming my favorite car to date.

I purchased my ILX from this dealership and I could not be happier. My salesperson Bill Walker was able to answer all my questions and work with his management team to sell me the perfect car for a great price. I just bought a certified Acura TL SH-​AWD from Ed Mertins and am very satisfied with the experience. Ed was helpful, very patient and not at all pushy.
After I took the car home I noticed the «replace remote battery» notice came on so I went back to the dealership and Ed was extremely helpful making sure the parts people replaced it quickly and didn’t charge me.
I must say, I replaced my old MB E320 wagon and, at 70 years of age, driving this car has taken 20 years of my age.
I will be replacing my wife’s car later this year and I will definitely go back to Ed and Boston Acura.

After some negotiating with the service repair manager, we were able to save money on the repairs!!! Manager was understanding to the fact that we were here only 5 months ago for the same issue with our vehicle!!! There needs to be more service repair managers like him!!!

This is my 2^nd time here for an oil change and I am really loving this place. They have been so friendly and accommodating. The waiting room is very comfortable with all the amenities.

Just bought my 3^rd Acura (new TLX) from Acura of Boston. Great place, very helpful, didn’t feel as though i was playing games. Not sure why my opinion differs so much from the other reviews I’m reading here on Unilocal (about Acura of Boston), but maybe I just got lucky — for the 3^rd time.

This review is for the sales team as I don’t have any experience with the service team (the reviews don’t look very good). The sales team and finance people were good in listening about the car I wanted and my limitations. They closed the deal pretty quickly and were very clear about what could be done and what couldn’t.
We went to Herb Chambers Honda before and what a freaking nightmare!!! They were like wolves trying to rip off every penny that we could have at the moment plus not listening about what we needed.
I’m very satisfied with the sales team at Acura of Boston. Thank you!
