Our heat went out and they come over and told us we either needed to replace the furnace which was going to cost over $ 5000 or they were going to have to remove it from our house and clean it at their shop for $ 3000. Wound up calling my uncle and we replaced the thermocouple which was a $ 15 fix. Worked perfectly afterwards. These guys are SCAMMERS!

December 2014, I wrote to Department of Consumer Protection, Chicago, IL regarding CEDA and their contracted, Healthy Air. My home of 19 months was utterly destroyed by them with copper ductwork stolen and replaced with a low grad substitute that sent spores into my new home; the cover up duct work was crushed leaving no air/​heat to the upper level; windows broken; electric disconnected; holes left in and through the outside wall where animals have gotten in and died leaving horrible odors especially when snow melts or it rains. More than 20 calls to their hotline yielded no response even though Brian from CEDA said he would send contractors to repair «all» issues. BACP went after someone else altogether and sent a reply to that effect on October 9, 2015. An outstanding company, People’s Choice Heating And Air Conditioning was targeted and made to pay a fine instead of the 2 entities in my original and only complaint: 1) CEDA; and, 2) Healthy Air who were responsible for tearing up my home. People’s Choice did an excellent job in installing a new furnace in my home on the coldest day in January 2014 making sure my heat was restored and calling back to check that the job was done to my satisfaction. Five months later, CEDA and Healthy Air also loosened hoses/​pipes allowing water to drip directly into my furnace which has now rusted, Under Attorney Dortricia Penn, Dept of Bs. Affairs and Consumer Protection was an entity pursued and charged that was not at all named in my complaint. I am still waiting for a response to my original complaint against CEDA and Healthy Air, An apology from Attorney Dortricia Penn to People’s Choice Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc is overdue. Is anyone in the office of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection going to address my original complaint dated December 2014 against CEDA and Healthy Air? I look forward to and have been waiting for an investigation and a response to my complaint against CEDA and Healthy Air.

On 11÷7÷2015 had my annual tuneup done on my furnace by People’s Choice Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. The service guy that came out was Brad. He was very informative, friendly and on time. The price was good and he didn’t give me a long laundry list of things to get fix that didn’t really need fixing like another place I used last winter.

I truly loved the service that I was giving by the two young men Jon and Nick. They allowed me to watch them put my water heater in. They cleaned up the mess and it only took these guys a little time to install. Good service

After attempted swindles by Four Seasons and other companies who claimed I needed a new furnace and the current one needed to be shut down, I had a heating expert examine the furnace 3 years ago and he found it fine. Last year he retired and i went without a cleaning because I didnt trust other companies to do the cleaning without trying to sell me a new unit.
Enter Peoples Choice, a company I found via Google. I spoke to the boss who said all the right things and gained my trust in a lengthy conversation. Their service man arrived today and was friendly, trustworthy and did a great job. He proclaimed this furnace left for dead years ago by Four Seasons and others, to be in great shape and running like a top.
Trust them, folks. Ive found there are lots of pretenders in this field but Peoples Choice is the real deal. And with the honesty came a more than fair price. These are my heating guys from now on.

My tenant in Chicago called stating their furnace was making loud noise so I contacted Peoples Choice Heating and Air and had them look at it. Wayne a technician/​manager came out and found that the blower motor had a bad wheel. He quoted me $ 185 for for a new one and I agreed to have the work done. He spent about an ¹¹⁄₂ hour there fixing the blower, he even did a clean and check at no extra cost. My furnace is running great now and I will recommend this company as he was very polite and honest. The office was really good too and believe it or not you don’t have to deal with an automated answering service/​machine, a person actually answers the phone. Good job Peoples Choice

First time user of this companies services and I was astounded at the professionalism from the very first phone call.
The appointment was easy to set up, and their technician arrived on time, shoe «booties» in hand and was very polite and helpful, during his entire visit.
Reasonably priced and would, highly recommend their services.

Just had my boiler checked, something I haven’t done since installed. I am so glad I found Peoples Choice. The repairman they sent out was named Brad and what a great guy. He explained everything he did. I appreciated that very much. I will be using your company again because of Brad. They are also coming this afternoon to do my chimney which was next on my list of repair work I needed done. Had no idea they could also do that for me. Kudos to Brad and Peoples Choice.

These people are salesmen, not technicians! Tried to upsell me a whole new water heater when all it needed was a cleaning/​routine maintenance. Look at the phony reviews they put to bump their rating!
By the way, I’ll be checking to see if this review gets deleted so I can report this company to the Better Business Bureau.

Brad showed up on time, and explained how People’s Choice could service my family by replacing our furnace. Chris and Dave the field techs started and finished installing my furnace and repairing the HVAC system in just a few hours. As I observed their work from a distance they explained everything step-​by-​step. I am extremely happy with their service, and will be calling them for future work. I recommend them for any project you may have.

Incredible customer service and diligence on behalf of their field team and office staff. We needed to order a special part for our water heater that stopped working. When installing, they noticed that the full unit was shot/​burned out, gave us a full refund on the part and installed a brand new water heater at a discount the next day (all on a holiday weekend). Great team, quick and very responsive. Communication was excellent and they were awesome all around. Definitely recommend them if you have any issues!

The worst experience I have ever had! My water heater stopped working. Based on the good Unilocal reviews I called People’s Choice asking to have water heater repaired. Company said they would send a technician to repair water heater. What the company actually sends are completely unknowledgeable SALESMEN. The technician pretended to look at water heater and threw out $ 800.00 number to fix it but then started on the huge long upsell of a new water heater which would cost $ 2,400.00. A whole bunch of other awful things occurred as well. Needless to say, only call this company if you want to be lied to and jerked around.

My heat went out a few weeks ago and I found People’s Choice in a google search. I called and a man by the name of Patrick showed up at my door about an hour later. He was polite, proffessional, and more importantly efficient. He explained the problem to me in a way I understood and also explained how he would fix it. Patrick got my heat working that same visit and it has been running great ever since. I highly recommend People’s Choice if you are looking for an honest, professional, and efficient company to work with.

We decided to ring in the new year by breaking the heater New Year’s day morning. Thankfully People’s Choice was open and able to help us out. Larry the service tech was friendly and efficient. Before his arrival he tried to trouble shoot with me so as to save me the service call. When that did not work, he was able to arrive in a timely fashion. Additionally, he answered all of my questions clearly, in easy to understand (non technical) language. I hope I never have to call for service again, but if I do, you can bet People’s Choice will be the company I call.

In preparation for a Home Inspection I checked Unilocal hoping to find a Heating & Air Service I could trust to clean both my furnace and central air. People’s Choice gave a great 1^st impression! Wayne was friendly and caring — scheduled me for the next day. AND… gave BY FAR the best price I’d ever heard!!!
The young man, Patrick, who came out the next day was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and honest. Assured me both my units were in perfect working condition.
I will use People’s Choice ONLY in the future and recommend them to all my family and friends.

It was –1 degrees outside when my furnace decided it had had enough. I can’t say enough good things about Larry who came out from People’s. He arrive about 90 minutes after being contacted and worked with my home warranty company to get me the most bang for my buck. I wound up buying a new furnace (the old one was 15 – 20 years old) and People’s offers a free clean and check next year in addition to the manufacturer’s (Rheem) warranty. People’s didn’t try to up-​sell me, or push service contracts or anything like that. Just decent people and solid service.
