Absolutely dreadful! Service appalling! Food less than edible. Avoid is my recommendation!

I tried one item from Zia’s food truck during the September Food Truck Friday event at Tower Grove Park. I ordered the toasted ravioli. There was almost no line, all the guys working were friendly, and my order came up quickly. The toasted ravioli with marinara dipping sauce themselves weren’t spectacular, but they weren’t too bad, either, as long as you eat them while they’re hot. I got them so my out of town friend could see what they were all about, since it’s a St. Louis thing. I’m not too sure he was impressed! Because the service was good, though, I’d be willing to try some of their other dishes the next time I encounter Zia’s food truck.

Zias truck was at Creve Coeur park. Everything here is great! Had the penne vodka and it was very tasty. The sauce was tomato based with some cheese and I guess vodka. It was almost a tomato cream sauce. Not too tart or sour. A little sweet. I’m a fan of tomato cream so it’s exactly how I like it. Highly recommend. My favs are this pasta and the mushroom ravioli.

Zia’s On the Hill food truck has been a regular visitor to the downtown St Louis«government center» behind the STLMPDHQ/Morgue and across from the Robert A Young Federal Building for some time now. I highly recommend their«Chicago Style» sandwich. At a mere $ 6 it is one of the heartiest value offerings I’ve encountered from any food truck. It amounts to about a half-pound of succulent Italian beef and mild Italian sausage on a soft 6″ Italian roll with Provelone cheese. Plenty juicy and tremendously tasty. Plenty of other goodies on the menu but I’m stuck on the value. Enjoy!
