Pick up lunch to-go and drive up to the hot springs. Looks like they have a lot of good sandwiches to choose from.

Passing thru Bridgeport, the family popped into Rhino’s famished. Menu selection was impressive & the burgers were exceptional! My youngest son loved the fried calamari, while the others devoured the wings with nitro-sauce. Lively atmosphere with super friendly service!

This place gets full Monty. Has too. Small town is a understatement. We needed up eating here 4 times due to the pricing at other locations for relatively the same menus. Expect too pay 2/3rds of what the others charge. The food was great, bar atmosphere and many beer’s to choose from. I appreciate simpler things in today’s chaos. This place has it. The owner was informative on the area, and would’ve spent the whole evening making us feel welcome and conversation. Would recommend this place too anyone

Fun bar atmosphere with good music and an exceptional waitress. Seriously, best, most friendly, service I’ve had in a very log time. Food was far beyond bar standard. Gourmet burgers, sides and really good beer selection, all at a reasonable price.

We visited this place June 2nd and i walked into this place with minority’s and the look we got from everyone to include the bar tender was unpleasant. Instantly felt unwanted and then looked around to see how many personnel did not want us there, and found the people were smiling like what the hell we are doing here. So we turned around and walked right back out. I ask everyone if they really wanted pizza and they said no so we went to Sportsman’s Now that was fantastic. Being part of the military this was a shock to find out that my brothers were not welcome in a place. i don’t want to give any stars but I have to.

When coming up in Bridgeport, it’s a must to come and eat rhinos! Food and beer is amazing and can’t be disappointed!

I tried this place after reading the reviews and have to say it was terrible. First of all calamari does not get served looking like fish sticks. Waitress was miserable ! Best thing they served was the bottled beer. Don’t waste your time here

I like this place! This is a four star review for what you get in a small town with three restaurants to choose from and a place that isn’t trying to be more than what it is. Rhino’s is sports-bar-like, with two pool tables, a large bar, and a few booths and tables to sit at. The bar was packed when we arrived at about 6pm. I like sitting at the bar, so I was a bit bummed that it wasn’t an option, but oh well, me and my date got to stare into each others’ gorgeous eyes in one of the booths instead. We ordered the Fried Mac & Cheese– just do yourself a favor & get these! 10/10, 100% in my book. They were $ 5 for a million of them and they were fried to perfection and rich and cheesy and creamy. Rhino Tater– Pretty much a loaded baked potato. Cheese, jalapeño, chives, sour cream, bacon, and wing sauce. I liked this enough, but I am not a huge fan of the wing sauce. I’m used to something more Buffalo/Spicy in nature, and this was more BBQ-esque. Wings– The boyfriend devoured them all. Overall, it’s a pretty cool atmosphere. The staff is friendly enough(no complaints from us!), and the drinks are stiff. See you soon, Rhino’s!

We’ve really enjoyed the food here. Bar food, yes, but when you need a good filling satisfying meal this is a great spot. The décor is pretty hillarious to, you’ll know what I mean when you see it. The kids always get a kick out of it. Friendly local staff. Never been disappointed.

Great place. Good food and friendly employees, I come here once a week to get off the mountain and play some pool and have dinner.

My son chose this place over Sportsmen’s in town. Good atmosphere, decent food. Husband and son got burgers and fries. Burgers were good, fries were undercooked. Ordered fried zucchini appetizer. Nice flavor to the breading. I ordered half a chef salad. It was very tasty and a good size. Server was friendly and attentive, but the bill did take awhile to come. Good enough for the location(not too much to choose from).

This is a great place to stop for a rest from the road — the bartenders are friendly and attentive. The bar patrons tend to be friendly and social — you can always find someone interested in a chat, game of pool or consultation on the jukebox selections. Good beer and onion rings! Killer views of the mountains right outside the door!

Best chicken wings I had for a long time. The Rhino Burger was so good that we had to have it twice on the same day(lunch & dinner) as we only spend two nights in Bridgeport. The secret: their hot sauce ‘Nitro’ — very hot but if you’re into that this one is top notch. When we’ll be back in Summer to visit the ghost town in Bodie!

The tri-tip platter was awesome, more tri tips only knew what to do it and very tasty. The little waitress Anahy was absolutely adorable and super friendly and did an awesome job even though it was so busy.

Decent place to get a burger and fries on way home from Mammoth. Clearly a locals bar but we felt welcome and the staff was friendly. There are few options on 395 and this was the only place open in Bridgeport on a Sunday evening.

3.5 stars… We stumbled across this place during our stay in Bridgeport. It is a nice humble town with not too many food options. From the outside the place looked cozy and down to earth. When we walked in the place had character. The place was crowded and loud but we were seated right away. I ordered the fried chicken and fries. Talk about a generous portion of golden fried chicken. It was good and juicy, above average in my opinion. The fries were fries. My husband ordered the individual pizza, loaded down with his favorite toppings. If you look at the picture, you can see he likes black olives. I tried a bite and it was pretty average for me but he liked it. I didn’t mind the ripped chairs or the loud crowd because it gave it character. There is a difference between character and run down. Rhinos had character. If I ever come back up this way, I would come back again.

This place was recommended by the young men at the general store as the place to eat in town. We mentioned that we didn’t eat meat and they looked a little stunned but thought we could get something. The veggie pizza was good, the salad cold and crisp with a very good home made dressing. Beer cold and service excellent. review helps others learn about great local don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Such a great place to go for lunch or dinner. Food is always yummy, service is good and timely(important for us because we have 2 little kids) and always nice to play a game or 2 of pool while we are there. A great night out during a camping trip or while going through Bridgeport.

There’s not much good to say except that our waitress was really sweet. When we walked in the only employee was the bartender, and we stood there for several minutes trying to assess whether to leave or stay because there were no open tables. The saving grace was that our boys had fun playing pool(75 cents per game). But the ripped seats, paper plates, and shredded carpet made the so-so pizza feel very overpriced. Won’t be coming back next time we are en route to Tahoe.

I can’t wait to forget this meal. This review could end here. I’m surprised their rating isn’t much lower. If I were less hungry, I would not have eaten more than two bites. I had a salad, and it was gross. I left half. Even the BOTTLED beer did not taste as it should(Negra Modelo, which I drink often.). I suspect it was old or stored improperly — not skunked, but close. My fiancé had a burger and it was clearly a frozen party(uniform disc shape.) I think this is a place for people who don’t care about the quality of what they eat. Bad American bar food. I think everything here came out of Costco and/or a freezer. Other things coming out of the kitchen looked similarly unappetizing/Costco specials. They were slammed on my visit; otherwise this would be a one star review. Service also reflected that they were slammed — it was north of rude but south of polite(no apology for the wait and not friendly.) Avoid.(We tried to go to J’s but they were closed.)
