50’s time warp. Super fun, clean well maintained hotel. The only reason it’s 5 stars is that because of the Era the walls are not as thick. Be mindful of your neighbors when you stay.

I Love Bridgeport, CA! Even think about retiring there. Go every year and Wish I could find a better deal. Have come here twice now. Yes, great front desk service but it’s Way Too Expensive for what ya get. The showers need an update.

Great place to stay and the management was superb. Clean rooms. Quiet. After the first night we returned to find our used towels had been removed and no new towels were replaced. We contacted the management who VERY promptly delivered a new set. Later we discovered that the TP roll had not been replenished. We went to the office and the manager was surprised that we again were in need of something the housekeeping staff had neglected. He promptly rectified that situation as well. Heretofore unmentioned the refrigerator provided as an amenity had been missing a front leg, so we felt it only fitting to utilize the «housekeeping gratuity envelope» folded eight ways as a replacement leg for the missing leg on the heretofore mentioned refrigerator. FYI. Bring your own soap if you don’t like to wash your naughty bits with shower gel and 2 and 1 shampoo. Just to reiterate, the management was great!

Great place to stay. I stayed for two nights and enjoyed my time there. Room was clean. Had AC, mini refrigerator, heater. Its an old building, but has its flavor that goes well with this nice little town. Next to the courthouse so got to attend a nice craft fair. Nice lawns for kids to play. There is a play area in the school behind the Inn that kids would love. A nice small Museum is right behind the Inn too. this cute little town is full of nice and friendly people. New management that took over last year is doing great. Their dog, Zeus, is very friendly and adorable. Breakfast at Cain House was decent. There is Microwave, Coke machine and freezer in a public room for guests to use. I would come back to this place very soon.

First, let me say I’m giving the 5 stars due to the amazing customer service I received over the phone. I have not stayed in their motel but had a reservation. There was a toxic spill on 395 in Bridgeport near the Bodie State Park exit. CalTrans said it would be a 24-​hour shutdown. I had called the inn that day to tell them I would be late to check-​in because was staying out until 10 pm in Bodie. They had alerted me of the spill and said that the alternate route fm Bodie to their inn would be about a 2.5 hr drive (usual would be 40 mins). They actually gave me the option to opt out of the reservation WITHOUT CANCELLATION CHARGES knowing I probably wouldn’t get to their inn until 1 am due to the detour. It was my choice to cancel yet they didn’t charge me. I opted to stay in Lee Vining that evening however the road on 395 did open but I didn’t know that until 10 pm that evening. This is not a chain motel and the proprietors are tourist dependent. The spill pretty much cut the tourism down in Bridgeport immensely and all the businesses suffered a great loss in revenue that day. The next time I’m passing through Bridgeport (which may be this fall), I’ll be sure to make a reservation with the very kind and hospitable owners of The Silver Maple Inn.

Older but nicely kept place. Pet friendly with no additional fees. Will definitely return. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

Con: Building is really old. No magnetic room key, just regular door key. Heater is really old, no AC. Bathroom is really small. TV is small, too.
Pro: The room is clean. Good location, you can walk to the bar across from the street.
I would not recommend this to a friend or family member. I think I will find some other hotels that are more modern and updated on our next visit.

This is a lovely place to stay. Affordable, clean and the staff was very pleasant. Cute grass area to sit and enjoy the beautiful town called Bridgeport. Never a bad experience here. Only thing missing is a small microwave to heat my left overs!

Yes it’s quaint and all but…
— no AC. I stayed in July and while it was in the 70s outside, the room stayed in the 80s. With no flow through breeze, I was sweating and my dog was panting. Income from 3 nights rent per room would pay for a window mounted AC for each room. The place needs one.
— the free wifi was so slow as to be unusable. I got 10x faster speed just using the cell network.
The other motels in town are slightly more but I’d go with them

I have nothing new to add to the delightful reviews below — just wanted to add my «Four Star» rating.

Clean, convenient, quiet, and quaint. Plus, the bed was comfortable. Loved that the motel is old style and we could park our car right in front of our room. Bridgeport is tiny, so, we parked our car and walked to see the local sites. Stunning views of the Sierra.

To gladly admit I dreamed of being Tippi Hedren in The Birds… flailing through a small California town, hoping to be rescued by a hero or heroin… means that eventually I’d end up getting myself into a similar situation, or at least wanting to.
Bridgeport may not be Bodega Bay… but being on the Eastern foothills of the Sierras with the range fully in view from The Silver Maple, this is either from a Filson catalog or a Dashiell Hammett novel. Driving North on 395 from Vegas I needed a pooch friendly spot to rest for the night. Being that Bridgeport is close to the 108, the 88, the 4 & the 89 junctions… it makes for a well traveled town for sportsmen, hikers or roadtrippers.
I came into town on the first day from being closed for the Winter, and kudos to them for being at the ready. For $ 75 was your standard motel lodging — just what you’d find in most places. But then…
*DirecTV! I mean, what? This isn’t the ‘50s… Granted, the great outdoors are right there… so it’s tough not to stare at the Sierras… but if you’re main reason to stay at the silver maple is to getaway from nature, well… DirecTV. «It’s just this once,» right?
*And, when the weather is nice… having the yard space next to your room in the courtyard can be a little treat… to sit out there under the mountain shadows with your dog, a beer and a book.
Anything you need is walkable from your room: the general stores, the meat shop & the bar.
I didn’t get chased by birds. I didn’t wake up in a black and white world where everyone’s name is Joe Public. What I did wake up to was a comfortable, quaint, room, in an adorable setting, with a remarkable view.

The Silver Maple Inn is a charming 1930’s style motel located in the center of town next to the historic Mono County Courthouse. The rooms are all arranged in a L shape around a park like setting with grass, shady trees, tables and chairs. The rooms are comfortable and clean and include cable TV and a mini fridge. The only drawback to the room is the tiny bathroom and shower stall.
The 1881 restaurant offers Silver Maple guests a 10% discount but after seeing their menu with all entrees over $ 25 we decided not to eat there and instead had dinner at Rhino’s bar down the street

I’m hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and always try to find the hotels in town that will give some kind of hiker (or other) discount. This was the first town that didn’t really have a «hiker hangout» so I decided to give this place a shot. I picked up a room with double queen beds for only 78 bucks. Not bad at all after all of the negative things I had heard about the normal room rates in Bridgeport. I believe it was the AAA discount, so if you stay here be sure to ask. The girl at the front desk as friendly and helpful, I has asked about when a few places around town closed. The room was clean and well stocked with extra towels, blankets and pillows. The only reason I can’t give this place 5 stars is TV channel selection. Oh and they have no A/​C, not really a biggie for me, but I know how some people are.

Neat vintage motel with comfortable, if cozy, rooms (some might be put off by the tiny bathrooms, but I thought they were fine) and a peaceful park-​like setting out front. The beautiful Mono County Courthouse is right next door, and the Jolly Kone, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, is a super-​short walk away.

I liked this clean, well kept VINTAGE court motel. Bed was comfortable and bath room clean, if a bit tiny. LOVED the real retro neon sign out front and friendly lady at the desk who knew where the local hot springs were to recommend. Walking distance to restaurants and a lovely lawn with Silver Maples to enjoy the early evening breezes and views of the surrounding mountains. We watched a couple of barn owls hatchings taking their first feeble attempts at flight, loving watched over by their parents… magical.
You MUST go to Travertine Hot Springs while in the area!

$ 65 a night, clean room, great grass area where you can read a book, BBQ, hang out with other motel folk. Pets allowed.
The staff was friendly, and I’d stay here again.
