The Dave Ramsey Show

So, I called in, and also sent email, asking a question about my retirement funds, annuities, etc, etc, and not all that surprisingly never heard back.
I guess if you don’t fit the exact mold that Dave and his people want to deal with, they cannot be bothered.
Glad to know the show was dropped by my local station. I see this as just another self serving program & company, claiming to know all the answers.
I think you should do yourself a favor and find a local person to help with your financial questions. I did.

We visited Financial Peace Plaza to watch the Dave Ramsey Show live and to do our debt free scream.
Everyone that works for the Ramsey organization is super nice and professional. We had a great experience while there.
It’s also fun to see the spaces and meet the individuals that you hear about on the radio.
We had a long interview with Dave — he’s honed his craft over the years and made the process easy and relatively nerve-​free. After our time in air he came into the lobby for photos and another offline chat.

Dave has changed my life and my families life. His teaching are awesome. The real gold was when I found Rabbi Daniel Lapin. I know this is not a review for the Rabbi but I have to give Dave credit for his teachings and allowing other people to speak into my life and my kids lives.

I can’t say enough good things about Dave Ramsey and his company. Service is top-​notch, I always hear back from them within 24 hours.
I am not a «Ramsey sheeple» and also read from Suzie Orman, Kiyosaki, and non-​guru finance writers. However, I credit my Dave Ramsey education during my teenage years as a pivotal moment in what has turned my life into a financial success. I have also attended many of his seminars.
His daughter’s new book, «Smart Money, Smart Kids» should be a staple in every household.

I am a «graduate» of the Financial Peace University that Dave Ramsey teaches.
I followed his «strong» endorsement to sell my gold to GOLDSTASH and was completely screwed. I was unable to resolve my dealings with GOLDSTASH, and attempted to alert Dave Ramsey and his company that he was endorsing a shady company. I never heard anything in return. I’m not a blind follower, but I was assured «you can trust Dave Ramsey.» I’m here to tell you, you can’t. I was completely cheated out of all my precious metals at a time when I was really hurting financially. I find him guilty by affiliation. In other words, he made money by endorsing a company that screwed me. He continued to profit from it after I alerted his company to it. I never received any response from his people. So, Dave Ramsey is a lying, cheating, un-​trustworthy hack. Do not listen to any of his endorsements. It is clear he is making money off his pyramid of sheeple.

I’ve drank the Dave Ramsey kool-​aid. When I found out I had to be in the Nashville area for work, I was fortunate enough to be able to drop by Financial Peace Plaza to see where the magic happens.
First off, if you are wanting to stop by to see Dave, I highly recommend completing their online form letting them know when you plan to visit. Dave is not always in town so avoid the disappointment and check to see if he is in town. Within 24 hours of sending in my request, I got a response from a real person.
Everything Dave says about Financial Peace Plaza is true. Immediately after entering the lobby, you see Dave’s studio on the right and Martha’s place on the right. The lobby has a good assortment of comfy chairs and chair/​table seating available. Martha was there and offered us multiple beverage choices as well as some tasty cookies. There is also a great gift/​book store worth checking out.
It’s really cool to watch a taping of the show. There are huge glass windows so you can watch Dave from comfy chair. Also, you get to see how the debt free screams happen which is fun to watch. During the commercials, Dave was nice enough to come out and take pictures and sign autographs. Dave and his staff did a great job at making sure that anyone who wanted to meet Dave was able to.
My visit to Financial Peace Plaza was inspiring. I hope to be back soon to do a debt free scream!

Awesome time to stop in and see where the financial legend takes place.
As someone is a self proclaimed Dave Ramsey kool-​aid drinker this was a nice place to stop at the end of a vacation.
The have a decent amount of seating in the lobby were you can watch Dave do his show. Depending on the length of a break Dave will take time to come out and sign autographs and take pictures. As well in the lobby you can sneak over to Martha’s place and get some FREE cookies and milk. You can’t beat the price of FREE. A good time was had here and I even made a cameo on Dave’s online podcast. As well being in house for a debt free scream was and awesome thing. Hopefully soon I will be making my own. Would be nice to come back.

I work out in Cool Springs which usually around lunchtime is a drag because there aren’t a lot of unique lunch spots. So when a co-​worker invited me to go see the Dave Ramsey Show over lunch I readily agreed; finally an advantage to working out in chain central. His radio show starts at 1:00 and that is when we arrived. The radio show viewing area was set up in the lobby of the building. The viewing area included a little shop and a free coffee and cookie bar. In-​between segments Dave came out and said hello, signed books, and posed for pictures.
If you enjoy the Dave Ramsey show and free cookie and coffee, I would suggest planning a visit. My co-​worker e-​mailed his assistant to confirm a day that he would be in the studio. I enjoyed seeing Dave and watching him answer calls in person. In fabulous Dave Ramsey fashion, this was a free and fun activity!

This show is hard to rate. Mr. Ramsey is a real estate guy who is into other investments and has created a media empire of credit-​self help. On the show, he takes calls and gives advice to people who are fairly unsophisticated in the world of finance. If you are a credit junkie who has no idea of how the world works then there is some really valuable information here. On the other hand, Mr. Ramsey, who was a former bankrupt and knows the horrors of injudicious use of credit, has created a one-​size fits all approach to financial responsibility that is not always realistic for the circumstances some individuals present on his show. Sometimes he comes across as doctrinaire and can be a little bit snide. He brags about his own personal wealth a litle bit too much for my tastes, but I realize he is trying to prove a point when he mentions it. Usually.
I am lucky because I have a good job, no debt, and have saved all my life. Consequently, when I realized that I was enjoying his show purely as a voyeur listening to the misfortunes, self-​inflicted in most cases, of others, I felt a little bit guilty and I decided not to listen anymore. I will say that if you are being harrassed by creditors you should definitely tune in and listen to his very sound advice on how to deal with them.

I have nothing but support for Dave Ramsey and all that his business does. From leadership and financial wisdom to career building you’ll find great advice to succeed in every portion of your life. I’ve been a follower since the beginning of 2010 when I was introduced to and graduated Financial Peace University. I coordinated the 13 week series a year later in my own church. From the books, to the DVDs, to the radio show, to leadership to everything the Lampo Group does, I’m totally hooked and a huge fan and follower. I try to involve friends and family into the program as much as possible. Highly recommend.
