Brentwood Surgery Center

I had a surgery performed on my foot at the Brentwood surgery center. The staff was very attentive at all my needs. From the moment of scheduling my surgery up until the surgery I have had a pleasant experience .
From the moment you arrive the staff welcomes you with a warm caring heart. Getting prepped for my surgery took 40 minutes and than waited on my doctor. Debbie was nice and gentle when helping me get ready for the surgery. I was a bit nervous but Debbie helped keep me at ease. Once I was about to go into the surgery Dr. Green and Dr. Scivally came in and went over the procedure and the sedation process and answered any questions I had. They were very nice and funny. While waiting for the surgery room to be ready my nurse claudette transferred me from waiting area to the surgery room. She made sure I was comfortable in the surgery room. After being sedated and knocking out into a deep wonderful sleep, when waking up I was in the recovery room and being helped by a wonderful nurse that I unfortunately can’t remember but I wish I did because she was truly amazing. My overall experience was great except for the pain I have, of course they aren’t the reason to blame. If I had to return to a surgery center for a procedure I would be quick to make sure I have it at the Brentwood surgery center.

Aside from the minimal embarrassment of finding out afterwards that I tried to eat a thermometer thinking it was water (I was thirsty), that I inquired multiple times if I had a BM (I used a more colorful word) during surgery, and that I told everyone I was pretty…
The entire experience was quite pleasant.
From what I remember of the staff pre-​sedation, they were as they advertise. Competent and compassionate. From what I was told by my designated post-​surgery driver, the staff of doctors and nurses also have a pretty good sense of humor and roll with whatever bizarre behavior their patients throw at them!
The surgery center staff (minus my surgeon and my anesthesiologist) even went so far as to follow up with a get well card afterwards. Thank you April (registration), Alison (pre-​op), Claudette and Trisha (OR), and Debbie (recovery).
My hope is that I won’t require further surgeries, but if I do… I will once again be choosing to have my procedures scheduled at the Brentwood Surgery Center.
