Comcast Service Center

If I could give them less than 1 star I would! My wife and I moved from Silverdale to Bremerton, thought that the transfer of cable and Internet would be easy. We were told someone would be at our new place on May 25^th. Nobody showed up. Called the service center they said it was a glitch in their system. Rescheduled for a week later, the earliest appointment, again the tech didn’t show. Called again they said he couldn’t gain access to the property this time. Left detailed instructions on how to gain access for the next appointment with my phone number to call if they had problems, which you guessed it is another week later. Again nobody showed. Called again this time they gave the tech my wife’s phone number who was at work. So again we don’t have service. Now we have an appointment 10 days out with the possibility that they might get us in sooner. Comcast thought that by changing their name to Xfinity it would hide the piece of crap company that everyone knows Comcast to be. Makes no sense how they schedule you for a 2 hour time block the tech spends 5 minutes half-​assed looking for an entrance and leaves. Guess we now whose time is more important to Comcast! Stay away from them if you can!

Just don’t use theirs services. Save your time! Theirs support is the worst. Theirs billing service is even worse!

Called to discuss a billing problem on our internet only service. The rep explained it and talked me into buying cable plus blast for only $ 3 per month more for 12 months. Sadly, I accepted. The modem arrived and didn’t work. I spent an hour with customer service trying to fix it. Also, please note they send a NON-​HD box as standard. It is 2016. Who does not have an HD TV? I took it to this office to switch it. I waited 45 minutes to be helped. I explained the problem and they said I would have to pay more for an HD box. I declined. I can’t WAIT till we have another high speed internet provider in my area, because I will switch immediately! These guys are horrible.

During the 20 months that I have had Comcast/​Xfinity there have been many times that I’ve called their tech support for issues. Most of the problems have been solved leaving only a few that an answer was never provided or the issue resolved. So, I looked at my phone records and see that since Nov 13, 2015, I have called or received calls from their tech support 32 times, using 334 minutes of my phone time (at $ 0.29/min that comes to $ 96.28 in call time). In general I believe the tech support is well done, it’s just that it is very annoying that there are so many calls necessary and that many of the issues are repeats.

I started off with blast 3 years when I moved into my home, the other day when I called, the Internet was down to the 50mbps. Tonight I go to turn on my Netflix and it won’t load. I contacted Comcast and they changed it to the 25 Mbps plan. They wouldn’t answer why it was changed three times without authorization. All the «agent» did as a solution was try to up sell me into a plan with cable TV. I already have another TV provider because they just keep raising the bill even after that first years promotion is over. Comcast is terrible if you only want one thing from them. My parents have the phone, cable, and internet with them and they seem to like it even though the Internet is always on the fritz. Oh well looks like I will be contacting Wave tomorrow.

We are paying almost $ 200.00 in just the basic cable with the Filipino channel and what they call blast Internet. What a freaking joke. We asked just for the basics and we got promotions for the upgrades. I guess I was speaking to someone who doesn’t understand customer care or basic English. Highly recommend to not get with this company. I wish I could give them a NEGATIVE 3 STARS FOR OVER ALL rating on this site and that’s putting mildly.
Now Comcast if you are reading this and see the one star. It is only because Unilocal needs it for this to be posted.

Comcast is by far the worst internet/​cable provider around. There customer service is a joke, when you call they try to talk down to you. We paid our bill a week before it was due but they didn’t process the check until a week after it was due, then told us we paid late and tried to charge us a late fee, then acted like they were doing us a favor by taking the late fee away. I would recommend either using your cell phone provider for Internet or go without if you live in an area like I do where you can’t get any other internet/​cable provider besides comcast.

I called 4 different numbers and got no where. Until, I read the above review here at Unilocal.I didn’t know I was wasting time to call. Now, have to make a trip and reading the next reviews about their customer service, looks like another adventure.

I’ve had many different television and internet providers in my life and comcast has always been my least favorite. When my husband and I first moved here it was our only option though as there were no other cable providers and we were in an apartment (no satellites allowed). I called and asked what the minimum package was for AMC and TCM, the channels we watch the most, the lady helping me answered and we set up for that, as well as mid-​speed internet.
Well, our cable package only had AMC, which annoyed me, but I wasn’t willing to shell out so much more a month for one channel! And our internet needed to be reset frequently and could only ever handle heavy processing (MMO gaming) with a hard connection.
When we finally purchased our home we went with century link and haven’t looked back. We pay less and get so much more, including my TCM.
As for their customer service I can’t complain too much, the package we ordered originally came with TCM, but we joined in the middle of contract negotiations which changed the minimum package required for the channel. The installation was quick and the gentleman was friendly. My one hang back was when I went to return the equipment I wasn’t sure what I was doing and the woman helping me wasn’t friendly or helpful.

Update: After our horribly Comcastic experience, the repair man fixed the problem. There was no discussion of any extra fees and we assumed the visit was not at any cost to us. Surprise! An extra charge on our bill for installation. My husband called and they removed the bogus fee, but really Comcast, really?

Don’t count on friendly courteous service at this location because you won’t find it here. For the last couple of visits to this office, some of the ladies working the counter have been pretty rude. The last time I went into this office; and I will admit, I did not pull a ticket because I figured that there was no one else in the office accept a couple being help at the counter and that it shoudn’t be a big deal since the only people in the office now was me and the woman standing behind me. So as I begin to step forward she calls the next # and I begin to explain why I hadn’t pulled a ticket. She then perceeds to ask the woman who was standing behind me what her ticket # was; so the woman then pulls a ticket and says the # which the rep had just called. So she calls her up to the counter and asks me to step to the side while she processed the womans pmt. When she was done with the woman she then says to me that she could of helped me sooner if I had taken a ticket… REALLY! I think comcast might want to retrain some of their office staff on how to handle certain situations in a better manner. Oh and as I was leaving I noticed still NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in the office.
