Because we are staying at the resort we felt we should give it a try, we actually went there twice during our week in Breck. The first time there was only a bartender and ourselves in the place we seated ourselves and waited and waited. Finally my husband went to the bar and asked if there was waitstaff or do we self serve with the bartender. After several minutes the waitress comes over no menus in hand and asked us what we wanted. I asked to see a menu and she leaves again after several minutes she reappears with only one menu mind you there is 4 of us. Then we waited again finally she appears and takes our order 30 minutes later our food comes out and she goes into the back never to appear again. We needed ketchup and utensils finally I got up and went into the kitchen myself to get what we needed. She was sitting there on her phone. I said sorry to interrupt but can we get a few more items at the table she seemed so put out. A tip was dwindling very fast. The next night we decided to go and get drinks while the kids played pool. There was a whopping 4 tables and two waitstaff on the floor. Not once did anyone ask us if we wanted a menu or drinks we were there over an hour and would had stayed for another round but since we had to trek to the bar each time to order and deliver our own drinks it wasn’t worth it I’m not a high maintenance person but they should set the expectations that it’s a self service and the waitstaff don’t really want to «wait» on you.

For a bar and grill located in a smaller resort and open to the public, this little place was tops. With a spectacular view of the snow covered mountains right behind the resort, both the bar menu and food menu were exemplary. A fairly large beer list(draft and bottled) coupled with a number of delicious cocktails made the daily happy hour from 3 – 6 a hoppin place. Lord knows I tried several. But the food menu is incredible with great care in designing each item! 5 salad creations, 7 different tasty appetizers, 9 hand crafted sandwiches, several dandy burger combinations, 6 or 7 delicious pastas and entrees including their house speciality St Louis BarBQ Ribs. If that’s not enough to make you hungry, their 5 or 6 specialty pizzas are to die for. Or create your own favorite pie. Our group had several meals here in the weeks stay and it was unanimous to keep coming back. The cooks were very talented, the bartenders very engaging, and the servers each day were attentive and personable. Especially Angie. She even gave us the secret? recipe for the White Chicken Chili to take back to Ohio. Oops! Great view+delicious food choices+caring service+reasonable prices=a swell experience. Management cares and we’ll be back again.

Wide selection of food to choose from; everything from gourmet sandwiches, pasta, and apps to burgers and pizza. Quick, friendly service in a cozy, laid back atmosphere! Decent prices as well and a great happy hour from 3 – 6 daily. Staying at the Grand Timber Lodge this week, it only made sense we would dine here a few times! The atmosphere is cozy with couches and fireplaces, a pool table and tv’s, your typical lodge hang spot. We’ve grabbed dinner here twice now and left stuffed and satisfied both times. The first night we split the spinach artichoke dip which was perfectly creamy and steaming hot. It came with pita chips and bread for dipping. Then we also tried the Roma chicken sandwich, grilled chicken breast, pesto and tomato atop a chibatta roll. The sandwich was good but lacking a little in flavor, I would have liked it better with more pesto! The chicken breast was grilled nicely though. The second time we dined here we started with a house salad. One of the better house salads I’ve had! Just enough toppings and a refreshing start to a meal. Then we tried the BBQ Chicken pizza which was really good. They definitely make their own crust and it was crispy and thick. The chicken pieces, bbq, red onion and cheese were abundant and the flavors complimented each other nicely. I ordered a side of ranch as well for dipping! I am grateful we had this restaurant as an easy option to dine at after exhausting days of hitting the slopes.

The slowest service ever. They have even seated us at dirty tables on more than one occasion. The food is just okay, nothing special.

The staff was slow, I guess they were distracted by the football game. It wasn’t crowded but a couple of patrons were loud enough to make the place sound crowded. The food was average at best.

Quite a nice place… very nice and fun staff. Prices are in line, maybe even cheap considering the resort location. Food was ok… fries were terrible… no excuse for that when you can get decent frozen from any vendor that are virtually fool proof if fried at the correct temperature. Food should be much better and could be with very little effort. Beer selection was abysmal… really? Every tap should be a regional or local brew… not every lite beer known to man. No free wifi… that is a joke.

The atmosphere is nice as is the staff. If you’re looking for good food, it’s difficult here. We had a party of 8 and not one enjoyed his dinner. They have a monopoly at the GTL resort so I’m afraid that hurts the consumer here because they may not feel the need to strive. It’s a shame as it has such potential with the location and décor.
