If I could rate zero stars I would. 6 people in our party. 5 people ordered steak. Every steak was overcookeovercooked, and cold. When we tried to tell management he accused us of something funny. My dad who was explaining to management is a pastor of God, and would never do that. When we got back to our room two people spent the night in the toilet. Dad was sick the entire next day.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! My husband & I ate here while visiting Branson & this has been one the best places we’ve eaten. We both had steaks and they were prepared perfectly. The baked potato was hot & fluffy. The roll was a bit dry, but I didn’t have room for it anyway. Our server was wonderful & everyone was very polite & genuinely welcoming. Best dining experience we’ve had so far in Branson.

Promptly greeted and seated. Ordered sirloin medium. The steak was well-done and had a big chunk of gristle right in the middle. The baked potato had been sitting in the oven apparently all day. Would not recommend this as a place to eat if you want a good steak. Go somewhere else and fast.

As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted. Everyone here on the staff was so sweet. Their sweet tea is awesome. I would recommend the baked potato. It comes with beef and pork. Excellent! It was very inexpensive for all 4 of us to eat! I would definitely come back!

I just ate there today and was pretty happy with it. I liked the menu — virtually everything I saw on it was appealing, including prices. The night before, for some stupid reason, I agreed to pay almost $ 10 for a burger/fries combo at DQ, so when I saw a lunch special at Charlies for Ribs & fries for $ 7, I was already quite happy. The ribs were fine(not amazing but absolutely fine) and the fries were quite good. Waiter was lovely. Service was great and speedy. Interior was clean. Kids and wife liked it a lot too. There was something for everyone. I’m considering going back to try the catfish — or anything really.

Over priced and steak over done guy forgot my salad. They gave each kid 5 mint corn dogs and 1 stick broccoli and charge 5.00. Ribs were tough and that shouldn’t be the case if you come in at the end of the day.

It was a wonderful meal! Party of 7 seated right away, and sampled pretty much everything on the menu. Ribs, steak, and fried catfish were all terrific! The waitress was great, and the portions were huge.

Family and I read all the bad reviews while we were sitting waiting for our food. I ordered a Pilsner that was decent. Not the best microbrew, but as a brewer myself, certainly drinkable. Wife ordered the mango chicken and I got the 1⁄3 rack ribs. To be quite honest, our food was delivered fast and was pretty good. We’re not foodies, but do expected a certain amount of service and everything came out pretty decent. One thing, however is to order the BBQ sauce on the side. Ribs were tender and had good flavor. Chicken was a bit peppery, but the mango salsa was tasty. Only complaint, air conditioning wasn’t keeping up. It was rather warm, bit waitress apologized and the staff all knew this was a problem and confront the manager regularly.

Don’t know why the bad reviews. Great micro beers and fried pickles. ½ price apps from 2 – 5.

Went tonight, walked in, no one greeted us or acknowledged us. Took a few minutes. We sat on the patio, hard to understand server, we ordered food. Food came out, steak looked very unappealing and was not the temp I asked. Ribs were cold. Complained to server asked her to fix it. No apology, also asked to get a less spicy sauce for ribs. She brought out spicier ribs that was still not very warm. Complained again. Server walked away rolling her eyes and shaking her head. At that point I was done. And I walked out. Horrible food. Horrible service. Will not come back.

Went in around 2:00 on a Wednesday. The waitress must have been new. She didn’t know the drink specials and wasn’t very confident on the menu. I wish I would’ve read the reviews and took the hint of an empty restaurant and bar that maybe it was a bad choice. The bartender didn’t have a clue either on the type of drinks they had available for our table to order. It took forever to receive our food and at best it was mediocre. The ribs were tough and luke warm. Do yourself a treat and go somewhere else. I know we all won’t be back.

Things appear to have gone down hill food was served cold and tasted like it was straight out of a pre made package. Was very disappointed since last visit was so good

This place is horrible. The service. The food. What a disgrace. You would think that someone might take time to Train there people!

First time in Branson and choose to eat at Charlie’s on our first night in town. Service was poor, waitress was new(second day), never received my side salad, and steak was over cooked(ordered medium). I choose not to complain about the waitress because we knew up front she was new. It was when she asked me how I would like my brisket cooked, I knew this would be a bad experience. I politely explained to her that I would like my steak cooked medium and my brisket cooked the way it’s supposed too.(I ordered a combo plate for those who might be confused) Let’s just say if you are looking for a great restaurant just choose something else and read the reviews. I wish I had!

The ribeye steak was below average. The flavor was nonexistent, such that I didn’t bother to finish it. The atmosphere was fine and I enjoyed watching the Cardinals game from my table. Glad I ate there by myself and didn’t have the family.

3 out of 5 steaks over cooked. Sent mine back 2x but still not right. Great service and they did try to make it right.

The atmosphere is western, country to be expected. Causal. Nothing fancy. They had a singer during the dinner hour. She was very good. I enjoyed it a lot. Our server was very good. Very attentive. That was not the problem . The food : The App. Charlie’s combo, Potato skins, Onion rings, hot wings. All of it was good. Very typical bar food stuff for apps. What I like best is that it was enough it take the edge off but not completely fill me up . Main corse: Travis got ribs and a Caesar salad. The ribs were dry. And by dry he sent them back and got something else. I have never in 15 years has done this. He got a ribeye. The ribeye was perfect. Good make up . Me: I got the ribeye. 21 day aged perfection. Cooked perfectly. Yummy Kids got burgers each. Again they loved them. Made just like they like them. The fries where good. Homemade . All in all I would return if I got the chance.

The only redeeming quality about Charlie’s was that the server was polite and very courteous. The beer was terrible; I had the stout(which was one of two they had, the other brews they make weren’t available). The stout was light, like a coke that the ice melted in and watered down. A stout is to be black, theirs was more of a dark brown. The food wasn’t much better; salad served in a warm plate, BBQ chicken was warm, never hot, and the catfish was prepared with no seasoning at all. We won’t come back.

Best ribs in town? Nope — try Mike’s or Doc’s. How about the steak? Well, medium seems to lack the nice pink center you’d expect — both ours were way over cooked. How about the atmosphere? The live music — really needs to be shot — too loud — like a bad karaōke night — need to drink lots. It can be a fun night but just not a great one this time.

Charlie’s was a nice surprise. Nice outdoor deck but lacked a view. Menu options are tailored for carnivores(vegetarian here) but I had the catfish which was good — a little too much breading. Live music/singer was nice too. Micro brew selection was good. Comfortable atmosphere and not terribly expensive. Would consider again if in Branson again.
