The Boardwalk Italian Ice & Creamery, by and through its owners, has created a «seaside boardwalk» themed Dessertery in Boynton Beach, Florida.

The development of The Boardwalk can be attributed to the two principal owners, Michael J. Swain and Joseph M. Hurtuk, III.

A Dessertery, yes, but that is where the similarity ends. We aspire to carry a reputation in the marketplace for providing premier homemade Italian Ice, Ice cream and Frozen Custard, as well as delicious boardwalk style treats.

The Boardwalk Italian Ice & Creamery is designed to make you reminisce about, or experience for the first time, what it is like being at the boardwalk through its aromas and seaside boardwalk theme.

So come on in and enjoy our fun house mirror, take a photo with our carousel horse, relax within our beautifully landscaped court yard or relive those fond memories on the boardwalk.

History

Established in 2015.

The Boardwalk has two distinctive and complementary players. Michael J. Swain, general manager, with his varied background in finance, operations, management, marketing, culinary arts and entrepreneur, has the hands-​on know– how of the internal workings of a small business. Joseph M. Hurtuk, III who will assist in managing the operations, has an extensive background in Ice cream making, customer service and management.

Collectively, the owners have spent the past year developing the concept of «The Boardwalk» to ensure their customers not only enjoy the highest quality treats, served quickly with a smile, but at a fair and reasonable price. They intend to achieve this by preparing our desserts on premise with the freshest ingredients possible while creating a seaside boardwalk theme for our customers to interact with.

Reminds me of the Jersey Shore and brings back happy memories… but with the best ice cream ever… the flavors are incredible with a high end relaxing environment to kick back and relax. The friendly courtyard they have there is so lovely and relaxing taking away the days pressures. Very courteous servers there you can tell it is a happy quality family that operates the Boardwalk, and everything is spotless and sanitary. To bad I live 60 miles away but anytime I am in the Boynton area it is a must to visit the Boardwalk!!!

A lovely little shop right off route 1, with a bunch of homemade ice cream, custard, and Italian ice. I tried their specialty cherry flavor, which was super delicious!
There’s a quiet, well sized area out back that was nice and relaxing for eating here. Everyone’s super friendly, and the décor of the place definitely matches the «Boardwalk» theme! (A good amount seems pulled straight from Seaside Heights, NJ)
They’ve got a pretty cool rewards program where after you fill up your punch card, you can spin a wheel for a prize.
I’m excited to come back and try everything else here!

Omg this place has the best Italian ice and ice cream I have had in all of South Florida. There ices are identical to the Italian ices I used to get back home in NY. The favors are amazing and if you get a chance try the Adult mojito ice… AMAZING!!! Everything there is scrumptious and what a crew!!! The owners are always there taking care of you, this place make you feel like family. just love it!

We came here on a Saturday afternoon with our dog and sat outside. My fiancé got the waffles and ice cream and I got a root beer float. The owner Joe seemed a little unpleasant to us at first but the two other workers who helped us were wonderful and explained everything to us in detail and really seemed like they enjoyed what they do. We will be back!

Just stopped in for the first time with the kids and it didn’t disappoint. I had the chocolate Cabernet (their own creation) and it was super yummy. The little seating area out back is great and the sandy play area was a treat for the kids. This will likely become our new favorite local ice cream joint.

Stopped in here after hurricane alley didn’t have my key lime pie… Couldn’t have been happier to be upset because I’d never have had the pleasure of this place otherwise! Walked in and anywhere there is free popcorn while you wait is awesome in my book. Apples were yummy, Owners extremely hospitable not just with all the tastings we did but gave special presents to my kids for free. If it weren’t so cold we would’ve sat outside but then we would’ve missed the great talks with the owners. Great little place in an area! Almond joy ice cream tastes just like the candy!!!

Came in for zeppolis at 9:30 on a Saturday. They didn’t feel like making them so they sent us out. For a new business they should be happy to make anything that’s on the menu. Close earlier if you don’t feel like working.

The Best ice cream ever. Also other treats such as zeppolis, funnel cakes, jersey shore salt water taffy. Owners are great and everyone is very friendly. Not only do they have your standard flavor ice cream and Italian ice, but they come up with the the most unique flavors. Favorites for me are rice pudding and the mojito Italian ice (with alcohol included). If you have a sweet tooth, this place is a must. You will NOT be disappointed. Deliciousness in a lovely little café ! We went for the Frozen Custard and stayed for the Italian Ice, too! The thick, creamy custard was really good. The lovely young lady behind the counter offered us samples to help decide and we tried the lemon and chocolate ice, both were excellent! The Gelati gives you a luscious chance to have your favorite Italian Ice flavor combined with a layer of Soft frozen custard (vanilla, chocolate or a swirl). Check out the menu board and take a ride here. It’s a nice spot, looking like a little seaside shop and it is, right down the road is the Boynton Harbor Marina, Two Georges etc. and over the bridge is the beach.

This will be my go to place for dessert in the area. Went for first time on a Friday night at 930 and it was terrific. The staff and free samples and portions/​pricing were all 5 star in my mind. My birthday cake iced cream was tasty and I tasted my friend’s cotton candy water ice which was also outstanding. I can’t way to go back again. They also have a loyalty card that they offer to redeem for a free cup or cone.

Fantastic new place in my old hometown. Great place to stop on the way to or from Boynton Beach. Lots of free parking, just off Federal Hwy in an historic house built in the 1940s, and now converted to the best ice cream place in town.
The owner is from NJ, and has the place set up like the Boardwalk. He and his son and nephew make all the ice cream on the premises, as well as the waffles, funnel cake, popcorn, and cotton candy. The only thing they have shipped is the saltwater taffy. The ice cream is INCREDIBLE! Good flavours too — maple bacon! They also have a great little loyalty card — after just a few visits, you get to spin the wheel and win a prize (like a banana split!).
They accept cash and cards, and there’s a nice little seating area outside under the trees. I can’t wait to go back!

A must visit! What a cute place and the people are just lovely. Ice cream, custard, shaved ice, carmel corn, candy apples, cotton candy… ice cream is made on premise and I tried custard for the first time… yummy!
