History
Established in 2007.
I started out as «Gelato Bacio» but when the second winter came along I decided some cold weather focus needed to come into play. Hence «Two Spoons» was born.

I originally discovered gelato when studying music in Vienna. Back in ’06 my family visited Vancouver and Portland Oregon and when I saw how much my kids and wife LOVED it, I decided if I could get the spot at 1021 Pearl that’d be a prefect spot for a gelato shop. I didn’t worry too much about «how» to make gelato until about a week before we opened since my background is in treats (check out Spruceconfections.com). Some of my favorite flavors combine bakery items from Spruce folded into the gelato (e.g., cappuccino brownie, cinnamon gelato with oat raisin cookies…)
