Two Hands Paperie

I absolutely love this shop! The selection of wrapping paper and stationary is ridiculous, plus calendars, cards, and journals that will be hard to find elsewhere. Normally, I consider a lot of similar shop prices over-​the-​top but this selection is worth every bit. And they have a ribbon station, too! What sealed the deal for me were all of the vintage options: paper, envelopes, stamps. The location is just terrific… yes, Pearl St but on the quiet end, next to a chocolatier.

Nice shop, unique gifts and cards. They have a nice selection of writing instruments as well.

I found this place while wondering around Pearl Street. It is definitely worth the extra 2 – 3 blocks west. They have a wide selection of stationary and beautiful journals and papers. They have have letterpress supplies and offer fun classes throughout the year.
My only complaint is the classes are a little pricey.

This place is pretty amazing. They have a huge selection of textured and fibrous hand made papers as well as distinctive printed patterns on sheets that are wonderful for art projects or to use as wrapping paper that is just as unique and distinctive as the person you’re treating to a present. Inspired thank you card sets to accompany that gift are also available near the front desk. The staff has been knowledgeable and outgoing, answering questions about the beautiful ink pens in the front window, the sealing wax and rubber stamping accoutrements in back, and of course, the myriad papers throughout.
If you find yourself on the Pearl Street mall, it’s worth walking a couple extra blocks at the west end to see this place, and if somehow my review isn’t quite enough to spur your motivation, remember you can always stop by Boulder’s amazing chocolatiers at Piece, Love, and Chocolate next door. Something for everyone! Working down the street, I find myself visiting both with great frequency.

Wide selection of beautiful, unique products. Loads of journals, special cards, and wrapping paper. Artsy tape, paper clips and rubber bands. This is a great place to go for gifts.

These ladies are awesome. Casey was so helpful with my wedding invitation and going back and forth for wedding supplies. Such a cute store, with great unique products! Everyone should check it out.

Two Hands has an amazing selection. Boulder is very lucky to have such a specialized shop. The staff is very helpful, and it is in an excellent location. It definitely serves a very specific crowd. If you are interested in bookmaking, crafting, publishing, and the arts, check it out.

I do heart stationary, letter writing tools, stamps, and anything of that group. After passing by this cute, little store multiple times, I finally ventured inside and I wanted EVERYTHING. I just about felt my imagination growing wings and twittering around excitedly. «See! With that, you’d finally be able to write so-​and-​so. And with this here, you can hand-​craft a super special birthday card!» Like, woah, self. Calm down.
I like that there are local items. I liked the window décor. I liked the assortment of envelopes and paper (but I always do). I just liked it all. Until next time, Two Hands.

Awesome Boulder, Colorado based paper and paper related products store. Took a friend of mine from Switzerland there to get a gift for his daughter and we were very impressed with the kids section :) We also got the birth announcement cards for both of our kids there.

I am in LOVE with this store. They have the most unusual cards, books and gifts I have ever seen. I am a huge card person, I go here every couple of weeks and buy way too many cards to keep on hand. Every time I give a gift, the card gets more attention then the present!

We worked with Casey on our wedding invitations and we couldn’t be happier. She helped us through every step of the way and we created an invitation suite that is gorgeous. Casey is laid back, friendly and professional and made the process less overwhelming for which we were grateful (there are SO many options). Everyone at 2 hands is friendly and if you get your invitations here you won’t be sorry.

This is a wonderful little store in many ways, and is excellent, I imagine, for scrapbookers and journal lovers. They are certainly a wonderful resource for paper and journals, and the customer service was good.
That said, on durable goods like pens, although their selection is good, their prices are very high, even relative to other Denver and Boulder area merchants, and nearly silly compared to online merchants. Note that their inks are still competitively priced
So, it’s a great place to window shop, and a good, local place to buy consumables like paper, journals or ink, and as a local business, they deserve that much support at least. That said, until they lower their prices on pens into a more competitive realm, make sure you walk in knowing what other retailers (Meininger’s, Guirys, Paradise, or even Amazon) are charging. Because at the end of the day, «bought from a quirky shop» simply isn’t worth paying 25%+ extra alongside Boulder tax.

I could have easily impulse-​bought every item in that store. Hands down my personal heaven. The products are gorgeous! Everything I’ve ever wanted and more – stationery sets, beautiful boxes of blank cards and postcards, trinkets and games. And the books! The book selection is amazing.
Alas, at the end of about an hour and a half in this store, touching and admiring everything in sight, all I wanted was a pen from the front counter. I tried to pay with a card and the woman asked incredulously if I had any cash, not even mentioning the card minimum so I could have a bit of purpose to buy one of the things I’d been drooling over while shopping. Cut and dry– «Don’t you have any cash?»
Totally unhelpful staff all around. Instead of buying the pen plus about a million other things I loved but certainly didn’t need, I gave it back and walked out.
It’s interesting how important a smile and a helpful word can be in sealing the deal. It almost makes me want to get another job in retail so I can try to spread a little joy to disgruntled off-​the-​clock workers shopping in my store. It doesn’t take much! SMILE! You work in a beautiful place, surrounded by inspired products and people full of life and creativity.

Stopped in this last week with my boyfriend who regularly orders paper through this adorable little shop to check it out. The paper selection is great, Mia was very helpful & happily answered some questions questions I had about an upcoming project. More than a paper shop with a knowledgable staff able to advise on whatever the project might be.

Fun to poke around, staff is moderately friendly — although the young woman that assisted me behaved as though she had more pressing things to be doing than assisting me. I went in looking for a specific type of paper — yuzen — of which they had. However, their prices were 2 to 5 times higher for a single sheet than stores in Denver or if I bought the paper from Japanese retailers online (yes, even with shipping, the prices here were FAR from being competitive).
Overall, fun to poke around if you have time to spare on a quiet morning, but for people who are looking for friendly assistance or reasonable prices I would recommend other establishments.

This store has the bones to be 5 stars, but like others have noticed there is a HUGE lack in polite, helpful staff.
Girl in front of store never came out from behind the counter– gossiping with friend standing in front of counter– no way to approach for help. Girl in back room of store didn’t seem to know if she should try and help those people or go cover for front of store fluffet. Really just spent her time staring at people in back then people in front. Repeat uncomfortably.
I’ve been in this store MANY times, including today, and every time the service is rude and unprofessional. Unfortunate.

Went in looking for a calligraphy pen, because this a paper store and carries items pertaining to paper crafts. When I asked a woman in the back of store who asked if we were looking for anything in particular, she promptly responded «we are not an art store». I was taken aback by her rudeness and lack of customer service.
The I noticed on the wall behind me there were stickers, stamps, pencils, etc. So I ignored her rude attitude and continued walking through the store. And then in a case by the door I saw calligraphy pens and ink.
This woman was terribly rude and I will not be returning to this store anytime soon. Stay away and shop at Pass The Envelope Please a few blocks east on Pearl St.

Love it! Love it! Love it! All the craft papers I have been «dying» to get is in this store! With friendly staff and their willingness to go that extra mile to assist you, what more can you ask.
Indeed I am so awed by this place which have tiny notebooks, stationeries that I love to have.
