Whole Grain Breads always have been and always will be our focus, but you’ll find other wholesome and nutritious baked goods that we know you’ll find equally as satisfying. Our products are handcrafted from only the freshest ingredients. Forget those corn sweeteners, dough conditioners, preservatives, and dough fillers– you won’t find any of that stuff in our products!

Our breads are made from scratch on a daily basis. We use 5 simple ingredients as the base for all of our breads. Freshly-​ground 100% whole wheat flour, water, local honey, fresh yeast, and salt make up the foundation for our phenomenal bread. We mill our own flour on a daily basis using a stone mill right here in our bakery!

Our sweets are hand-​crafted each morning from fresh, simple, and flavorful ingredients. We proudly use real butter, real fruit, local honey, and our freshly-​milled whole wheat flour! Our choice ingredients and freshly-​ground whole wheat flour are what distinguish our products from other bakeries!

History

Established in 1983.

We have been Boulder’s premier whole grain bakery since 1983 (you do the math). Our looks have changed many times over the years but our dedication to excellent bread and fantastic service has remained constant. We love the look on your face when you open the doors and get douse by the comforting smell of homemade bread. And we love to watch your eyes light up when you bite into your FREE SLICE of hot bread with butter. To us, there is nothing better than to watch others thoroughly enjoy what we have created. We do all the work, but you are the inspiration for all that we do. So, come on in and get a FREE SLICE of bread, you’ll be doing us a favor.

Great Harvest Boulder has been baking phenomenal bread for nearly 30 years! In July of 2012, Kevin and Chanel purchased the bakery from Scott and Sally Creevy who’d been the original owners since 1983. We love our new community and are excited about continuing the traditions of Great Harvest in Boulder. We’ve started to make some exciting updates to the bakery and are still handcrafting the best bread, sweets, and sandwiches in town from delicious, fresh, and simple ingredients! We love Boulder, appreciate our customers, and hope that it shows when you walk through our doors and take in the sights, sounds, and smells of our «made-​from-​scratch» bakery.

When we’re not busy baking up a storm in the bakery, we enjoy running, hiking, cooking, rock climbing, backpacking, dinners at local restaurants, flyfishing, watching our favorite musicians perform, camping, and even occasional trips to the theater!
