CCLC welcomes children of all abilities,
with the commitment to provide quality care and
education to each child. We believe every child is a
unique individual with varying needs, and we welcome
the diversity that brings to our centers. All children and
families deserve to be full members of their
communities, to have the opportunity for development
and learning, and to experience a sense of belonging.
CCLC at UCAR supports inclusion by providing
access to our world-class curriculum programs,
embracing inclusive participation in our programs, and
offering support to our educators through training and
consultation by our Education and Inclusion Services
teams. Inclusion is not just a strategy for helping certain
children overcome challenges; inclusion is a way of life
at our center.

Meet the Manager
Stephanie I.
Manager
As Center Director, Ms. Stephanie’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care. She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center. Ms. Stephanie grew up on a rural farm in Iowa where her family raised horses, played sports, and rode motorcycles. Caring for children has been a passion of hers all her life as she started babysitting at age 12. During college, she worked as a student athletic trainer and at a youth emergency shelter. In 2000, Ms. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Biology at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. After college, she worked in a child guidance center for physically and sexually abused children in Des Moines as a counselor. Volunteering for Americorps brought her out to Colorado in 2001. She worked with the Aspen Community School, Habitat for Humanity, Challenge Aspen, and the Buddy Program. After relocating to Boulder, she found CCLC.
