Come visit the Altitude Spirits Tasting Room. We are purveyors of organic craft spirits from around the world. The tasting room is part bar and part workshop. Up front, we serve up original creations based on our portfolio of craft organic spirits. Come in and taste our line of spirits, or try one of our famous original cocktails. In-​house infusions and special-​edition spirits are always on the menu. Bottled-​in-​house editions of our spirits are for sale as well for guests to take home, making great gifts available nowhere else in the world.

Come behind the bar and you’ll find something you might not see at your run-​of-​the-​mill watering hole: wood barrels filled with fine spirits, aging to perfection, and a fully federally licensed distillation facility. Most of our spirits come from various craft distilleries around the world, but our tasting room houses the still that we use for tinkering and developing recipes.

History

Established in 2005.

Altitude Spirits began selling our acclaimed vodka, Vodka 14, in 2005 when the father-​and-​son team of Mitch and Matt Baris founded the company. Building on the success of Vodka 14, in 2011 we began to curate a line of spirits imported from around the world that are made with the same dedication to craft quality, and, of course, are all USDA Certified Organic.

Our company is dedicated to a simple proposition: that small, craft distillers who choose to use the best ingredients make the finest spirits in the world. We opened the Tasting Room in 2015 so that you can come by, say hello, and taste for yourself.

Business Owner

A Boulder native, in 2003 Matthew was out showing a visiting friend around town one night when they noticed that despite all the wonderful local craft beers, there were nearly no craft spirits. Taking inspiration from the famously fabulous craft beer he grew up with in Colorado and from the encouragement only a night out with a good friend can provide, Matthew decided it was time to bring the best in craft spirits to Colorado. After a plea to his father to join him in this endeavor, his father Mitch agreed and the father-​son craft organic spirits company, Altitude Spirits, was born.
