After witnessing first hand how this store works I can say without a doubt don’t waste your time here. The management is incredibly sloppy and very unprofessional. A family owned business but very little interest is paid. All the products are out dated and minus a few unique novelties the shop doesn’t actually offer too much in the way of alien merchandise, and prides itself on it’s collection of books and ‘bico’ pendants. Everything is outrageously over priced, often as much as three to four times original costs was incredibly disappointed with the staff, considering the majority of the family is quite kind but has no interest in the store. I suggest saving your money on most of the items there and find it only useful for a few select items such as alien tequilas and beers. The only saving grace it offers is a novelty stop for kids and tourists to pose with their aliens. The merchandise however is cheap, or far to over priced.

Stopped in a shop called The Flying Saucer last Friday and what a great place! They carried everything from ufos and extraterrestrials like books and items to cool things for kids. The lady who helped us was fun and seemed to know everything about all the products including every single book in the the store. We ended up buying a book for our 10 year old and one for me as well as something called Mars Mud! This is a place we will come back to every time we come back to Boulder City as we are from Indiana and visit one time a year. We will bring back our friends too

All the fun of sci fi and aliens without the crazy Tom cruise cult or cyanide punch. Stopped by this place while enjoying a weekend up in boulder, was kinda iffy due to the fact that some people go off the walls with alien/sci fi stuff. However the lady that worked there was pretty down to Earth(pun intended). She was very helpful and friendly we talked a little about area 51, other phenomenon like the mothman and other cryptids. She recommended some great books written on unexplained and paranormal phenomenon which make for an entertaining read regardless of if you believe it as fact or not. The shop offers lots of odd and alien themed gifts and gadgets for the UFO enthusiast. They had alien sunglasses, inflatable UFO’s even alien beer.(sorry no probes. but i’m sure a few shops in vegas have those ;P). All in all it’s a neat little shop to stop into to grab some cool stuff.

Do you know an alien fanatic? If you need to get them a gift any time soon, popping by this place may give you some gift ideas: everything from books and toys to shirts, documentaries, and even alien marionettes are here! Welcoming staff, kitschy exterior décor with an Area 51 alien on display facing the intersection. Takes a really dedicated hobbyist to turn a fascination with the extraterrestrial into a profitable business! Most of the products here are geared more toward kids, but they get a bonus star for having Alien stout beer from New Mexico available in their refrigerator case!

I would probably give this more of a 3.5 star. But wish had more to it than souvenirs. Located in Boulder City, and just strolling around after lunch. We came across The Flying Saucer and first thing we saw was an alien standing in the open. Which I thought was cool and interesting. I noticed around the corner there was another alien in the window. But entering the store, I kind of realize it seems to be a bit smaller inside than it does outside. Which was okay, just made things a bit of a tight squeeze to get around cause you feel like you’re going to bump into something or tip something over. They did have a good selection of books, posters, shirts and other novelty items. It would be nice if they sold like alien jerky or something more unique or creative than the usual. But very little to choose from and more of the alien candies. But I did by some alien sunglasses and other things for souvenirs to remember this place. Customer service was really nice and enjoyed there personality. Overall, if you’re into the alien sci-fi world, this is probably a decent place to stop by. It may be small in the inside, but you can take your picture with the alien standing on the outside. I would recommend to stop by just to check it out.

Sci-Fi fans will get a kick out of this store. UFOs, spaceships, martians, aliens, its all here. They even got Star Wars toys and DVDs of your favorite Sci-Fi Movies. It kinda reminds me a little bit like the Zombie Apocolypse Store, but with martians, aliens and sci-fi stuff. Stop in to kill some time and get some quick laughs, but if you’re a die hard fan, you my just purchase a remote control saucer, alien shades, or even your own alien water bottle… ALOHA!!!

I had this on my list of things to do in Boulder City and stopped by on a Sunday to check it out. Interesting little place with little trinkets and items for the the typical Si-Fi fan. The lady that was running shop was very friendly. While I was visiting the shop there was some company running an air bag jumping business on the side of TFS.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out ever since I first heard about it. A store all about aliens? And it had a giant extraterrestrial outside? Sign me up! It’s a smaller store, but filled with everything alien-related you could possibly imagine and then some. There are lots of really interesting books, some of which are a bit retro and fun to flip through. If there was ever a DVD that had an alien in it, you can bet it’s at The Flying Saucer. They also have DVDs of The Twilight Zone and X-Files, Star Wars toys, as well as alien-themed key chains, t-shirts, guitars, and marionettes. Basically, it’s your one-stop alien shop. Lots of fun to visit when you are in Boulder City.

I couldn’t very well walk past this place without going in. In fact, my internal monologue said something to this effect: «You can’t very well walk past this place without going in.» So who am I to argue with myself? Call it geekery if you must, but I prefer to think of myself as «endearingly charming», this interest in kitsch and good-natured cheesiness. Regardless, if you have an alien out front and the outside of a building that looks like an alien lair, of course I’m jumping on that. Are you kidding me? Apparently having opened earlier in the Summer, it’s a fun little touristy souvenir type store(all alien themed, of course) with lots of movies, vintage style sci-fi signs, Star Wars stuff, snacks, and all manner of photos and whatnot. The lady running the store(Miki, like«Mikey») was super nice and full of conversation. She was only too eager to help and answer any question(plus, how can I dislike anyone that compliments my looks?). And I appreciate anyone with enthusiasm and a good sense of humor. I didn’t pick up anything this time(the signs are pretty cool, however), but something that novel and fun in Boulder City’s already laid back environment makes it worth another explore. They did have an area that looks like it is still under construction for some unveiling later. That alone will warrant a return visit.
