Can’t quite believe how horrible the customer service/​banking policies have been to deal with. Employees inside the branch are always apologetic, but they are unable and or not allowed to assist with any of our loans or questions. We keep being given different phone numbers in California to call (also, often the phone numbers are NOT toll free. So on top of terrible customer service, we have to pay long distance charges, too?!? And be prepared to be on hold for long LONG time!!)
Finally, after multiple phone calls (and we were required to send a fax… not allowed to do it by email or phone, in order to get our loan pay-​off amount) we finally had a loan pay off amount. And then we are informed that there is a THIRTY DOLLAR «demand fee.» Because we wanted to pay off our loan and requested the pay-​off amount, there’s another $ 30 fee. OUTRAGEOUS! Honestly, they continue to be the worst banking experience ever. Glad that we are almost ready to sever all relationships with them. Union Bank is horrible!
