Went here on December 22nd to buy some Bourbon and they were out of just about everything. They tried to cover up the fact by mixing whiskies with the Bourbon. Made it a mess to find anything. The only thing that made it worth the trip was the price, the one I settled on was $ 10 cheaper than other stores. But makes me wonder if they’re going out if business again. Empty shelves and give away prices are not a good sign.

Pete’s is the best liquor store in the world. The staff are always friendly and knowledgable. The free wine tastings on Saturdays are fun, educational, and not at all uncomfortable to attend.

Finally a great wine shop opens up in Bothell, and this will be dangerous as it’s just down the street from work. Pete’s is already very well-​known in Seattle, and more recently in Bellevue for having a great selection of wines at low prices with solid service. They always have an interesting mix of well-​know larger producers as well as many smaller ones, and their selection of Pacific Northwest wines is huge. So how do you make it better? First, the space is much larger than their Eastlake location, and second, you add liqour! It seems like they were just starting to build their liquor selection up, but they already had a decent selection of the basics, as well as some more interesting gins and whiskeys. Looks likethey will have their grand opening later this month, so definitely check it out.
