Fred Meyer

It’s taken me a long time to reach this point but I am finally done with this store. I’ve been a loyal and frequent customer of the Bothell store for the past 10 years, mainly because of the convenient location. Through the years I’ve chosen to overlook their sometimes lack of customer service, bare shelves and congested aisles. However, rather than being infrequent irritations, this is now their way of doing business and something I will no longer tolerate.
There are many nice employees but there are also enough unhappy, grumpy ones to overrule any pleasant experience. For example, the meat department has a few guys that are unapproachable and grouchy. While one may think it’s just an off day, I’ve been there often enough to observe and experience their rudeness and can say it’s how they are. They also can’t seem to keep their meat dept. well stocked of sale items and are obviously annoyed when asked if they have more in the back.
This store’s most positive assets are the cashiers & pharmacy staff who are pleasant, helpful and consistently provide great customer service. It’s unfortunate their behavior is not widespread throughout the rest of the personnel.
Poor customer service, empty shelves and congested aisles are the main issues with this store and why I will take my business elsewhere. The convenience is not worth the harassed shopping experience they consistently deliver, especially since there are several markets nearby to choose from.

This is your average Fred Meyer store, although a bit on the small side. They have less furntiture than some of the bigger ones have.
I like this store, the employees are always friendly and they do their best to keep the lines short at checkout. Anytime there are more than two people waiting in a checkstand, a supervisor will direct me to express or open up a checkstand. This is one of the best things about Fred Meyer, they always try and get you checked out quickly. This store is clean and overall I’ve had positive experiences here.
When my son turned 1, I went to the bakery and asked them to make a small cake (I had seen small cakes in the case at other FM’s before). The person working was a little confused at first but we got it sorted out and the cake was done on time and looking AMAZING. I just wanted a simple cake with sprinkles
The reason I give it 3 stars instead of 4 is the parking lot. The parking lot is HORRIBLE. There is one main way in and out and people are always in a hurry. I constantly see people almost back out of spots into moving cars, cars back into each other, cutting each other off… Its the most stressful and cramped parking lot for a Fred Meyer I’ve been to up here. There is another exit on the front and other side, but you can only go one direction out of them, and can only enter from that same direction. I avoid going here after 2 pm and before 7 pm because of traffic and the parking lot.

Positives: Great selection and prices. Nice having clothing section as well as Seahawks gear plus variety.
Negatives: Day stocking. Aisles filled with product on both sides make it hard to navigate carts. Please do the majority of stocking before or after business hours. In-​house wifi spotty at best.

I stopped by this Freddie’s to return an Apple cord I purchased at another store. The customer service lady was extremely rude and she tried her best to not be helpful or friendly. I will never use this stores customer service desk ever again. I have no clue why people like this cranky old lady are working in customer service. It was unbelievably. I felt like I was in Dave Chappels POP COPY skit.

Stopped in today for a prescription that was called in by our GP. This is seriously the slowest pharmacy ever. Do they wait until you come in before they start to fill your prescription? I think we will use another pharmacy from now on.

Customer service department (returns.) Poor attitude towards helping customers. It is clear the employees are under staffed in this department resulting in overwhelmed employees who don’t have time to give quality customer service.

Fred Meyer does a great job. This location like many others has wide isles, lots of variety, well stocked, clean, decent sales and prices, etc.

So I am new to the Bothell area so I’m still figuring out where I want to shop for groceries. There’s a Haggen closer to me but UGH prices are so expensive. I went in here happy to see reasonable prices.
I am a fan of Fred Meyer stores because it can be a one-​time stop place. I guess my opinion of this place might change once I start going more often…
I went before noon so it was a bit calm. But by the time I was done shopping (I was taking my sweet time). it was crazy busy.

I wasn’t happy to find plastic in the soup that was gross I was feeling icky already that didn’t help.

WORST grocery store experience ever! Went there as we do multiple times per week and had the worst time! spent an hour getting our weekly groceries which went fine. had a huge cart full of things along with a six pack of beer and a bottle of wine. after everything is rang up and bagged the checker asked for ID which was expected even though we are both over 30. HOWEVER!!! I was not purchasing anything so I didn’t bring my purse. which mind you has NEVER been a problem before as the person buying the alcohol is the one who should be ID. the checker demanded to have my id as well which we said no because i wasn’t buying anything. he refused to sell anything to us. My boyfriend, the one paying for everything, asked for a manger. A man came over and said that it was the cashier’s discretion to card everyone in the party… and the he couldn’t even override it. I notice his name tag and ask if he is even a manager to which he says NO… SO WHERE WAS THE MANAGER THAT WE ASKED FOR!!! oh at the customer service desk… So the clerk PRETENDED to be a manager… then argued with us! then told us he had offered to ring up just my boyfriend in a different line… which defeats the purpose of turning us down in the first place because had we been a «sting» that they were so worried about they would have been busted anyways! totally hypicritical!!! And illegal.
moral to the story… there more but not worth my time… GO TO ALBERTSON… or safeway! they will treat you way better and respect the customer!

The store staff is rude. I had an issue with a purchase and asked for a manager. One of the employees came over and pretended to be a manager and argued with me. After I discovered they weren’t a manager and talked to the real manager the employee continued to make comments off to the side. I’ll never shop at a Fred Meyer again. I went from 3 times a week to never again. Don’t waste your time. The Albertsons down the road will treat you much better and isn’t far away.

I’m not sure why this Fred Meyer has such a low score in comparison to others. I’m quite fond of Fred Meyers so I’ve been to a lot of them. I’ve never been to a Fred Meyer with friendlier employees. First off there’s no shortage of employees. It’s more than easy to find someone if you need help. The best part though is they always beat you to asking if you need anything. I’m not sure if I always look lost or they’re just crazy friendly here. The employees always ask you if you’re finding everything okay. Produce staff are more than happy to help you by cutting cabbages in half etc.
Everything else is pretty standard as far as Fred Meyers go. A little bit of everything, a natural section, decent prices, clean, basically what you’d expect from Fred Meyer. Parking is ample and it’s easy to get in and out of.

I have gone back and forth on this store. I love the prices and selection, but they seem intent on getting in their own way.
Today I went into the store on Bothell-​Everett to look at strawberries. The past two purchases had mold and I reported that to the guy stocking the fruit. Then, I pick up two separate package and find mold. I show the packages to the guy and he takes out a few strawberries and puts the packages back on the shelf. Right in front of me! WTF!!! And several more packages had mold. Did he care? Nope. He did the bare minimum and moved on.
So I spoke with a cashier and she informed me that the guy was actually… wait for it… The new ASSISTANT MANAGER!
So I spoke with the store manager and everything about his demeanor from his facial expression, body language and tone make me believe he could not have cared.
Damn…
I’m sorry you don’t like your job, but I care about the food I buy. If you don’t care — quit. But don’t try to sell me rotten food.
Remember this — if they were willing to do this with someone watching, what do they do when we’re not?

It’s you basic variety store with everything you need. It’s my weekly grocery stop for good prices. Everything else is a bit spendy if it’s not on ad.

This review is specific to the Pharmacy at this Fred Meyer. I am mostly happy with the rest of the Fred Meyer, but the Pharmacy is really quite bad.
I would really recommend people use a different Pharmacy than this Fred Meyer’s. Unfortunately the Walgreens across the street is very poor as well.
Of the five visits to this Fred Meyer Pharmacy, not once has the transaction been accurate nor gone smoothly.
Issues:
— Notification that meds were ready, when they really were not (a wasted drive to the store) (happened 3 times)
— Telling us our meds could be renewed on a specific date, when they actually could not be. This resulted in us having to pay out of pocket and file a claim with our insurance.
— Today the Pharmacist was mixing/​compounding our sons medication and she spilled it all over herself. It was special order and they had no more, so now we are delayed 1 – 2 more days and we are out of the medication. They offered nothing to remedy the situation.
Overall the pharmacy is quite disorganized and really poorly run.

This is MY fred meyer. Seriously, it’s where I shop. =) Not only do they have everything I need (including a plethora of Gluten Free goodies) but they’re also very helpful and friendly.
For the most part, I never have any problems there but there was an instance where a random customer was creepily following me around the store and staring at me. I didn’t even have to ask for help because the lady at the fish counter saw it all happening and called one of their Loss Prevention people in to follow me around and keep an eye on the guy while I finished my shopping.
I probably wouldn’t have worried so much except that I was buying pumpkins that day and was worried that he might follow me out to my car and take advantage of the fact that I was weighted down with not just groceries but the pumpkins as well.
Fred Meyer’s loss prevention people followed me through checkout and helped me with my stuff out to my car and the guy must have got a clue and didn’t follow at that point.
All in all, not only does this Fred Meyer provide the goods I need but they also make me feel safe. What more can someone ask for? =)

The Bothell store has been refurbished this year and I like the new layout. Cheap, easy to find stuff, I like to pop into Freddies for some essentials on my way to getting haircut or stopping for coffee with friends at Starbucks. Both are within walking distance of this store.
The staff is polite, clean, and helpful. When did that happen? I remember in Redmond how surly they were. All and all not a bad experience and only two miles from my house clenches the deal.

***Disclaimer: I’m the type of grocery shopper that will go up and down the same aisle 3 times unable to locate an item, then ask someone for help and they find it for me to the same aisle — placed at eye level. If you’re not that kind of shopper, my review will likely not apply to you.
This Freddies is fantastic. There is always a staff-​member visible and readily available.
Last time, an employee named Sam was fantastic when I pointed out that the item I wanted was out of stock on the shelves. He called in the stockroom to see if there were anymore of that item, but there wasn’t. Instead he let me have the more expensive version for the same price. Ah-​maze-​ing. It was about 4 times the price of the cheaper one, too. I was shocked! This is just one of many positive experiences I’ve had here.
Now please don’t go expecting to get something for $ 100 that is worth $ 400, and then blast me for not getting it, OK? My item was only $ 0.79 originally haha. But still, we gotta be thrifty in this economy, man!
I noticed a reviewer saying this store always seems to be out of stock, I would suggest seeking help from an associate if that’s the case. Many times they have extra in the back.

Where else can you go with 10 checkstands open at once, PLUS 4 quick checks, and 10 self check outs??? I’ll tell you, NO WHERE! :)

easily the worst managed store in the chain. I love the chain, pricing, awesome ads and products. And the concept of ‘one stop’ applies to most stores.
Not this one.
The issue of stocking (and keeping things stocked) AD ITEMS has gotten worse it seems. This particular store simply has no clue what the purpose of the weekly circulars are — they advertise low prices on products to draw you in. In order for this to WORK effectively you need to actually have these products on the shelves.
Today it was the New York roast that just got my goat. At 9:45 am the meat section was still a disaster, even tho not many shoppers had arrived for holiday shopping (thanksgiving). The meat manager was out filling shelves of things clearly not even near to being out of stock (hams, sausage, etc). I asked about the ad roast. She answered «15 minutes». Twenty five minutes later, nothing, and they were still stocking things that were not needed. Rrrrrr.
Several other ad items were gone this trip too, I mentioned one item to the checker (Josh), he called the back wall, they immediately brought up two of what I asked for. So clearly, this stuf was in the back, yet no one was bothering to stock it.
Manager of this store outta be sent back to the minor leagues.
