After many years working for a large company in Washington, Mike Hedgecock decided to start his own business. Seeing how companies worked, he felt he could give the customer better service. In 2001 Mike Hedgecock Jr. graduated high school. Working with his father for many years as a teen, he decided to help build the family business. I am very glad to have found Michael Hedgecock to replace my roof. After I received a couple other bids to replace my roof I noticed that a neighbor down the street was having his roof replaced. The crew doing it, was doing a fine job. When I asked this neighbor who did his roof he told me how impressed he was with Michael Hedgecock (Around the Sound Roofing.)
From the start Mike was very professional and cordial. I chose them to replace my roof and gutters and I was never disappointed. Mike and his crew where absolutely wonderful! They added some small details (not expensive) to the look of my roof that really improves the look of my roof! They were so great to work with that we felt like they were doing a roof for one of their good friends!
Mike was not a friend before he did my roof but I
would consider him a friend now. I am thankful for a high quality new roof at a very competitive price. Although many roofs in my neighborhood have been recently been replaced I feel that I have the best looking roof in the neighborhood!

This is a follow up to trying to get service done on our roof since hedgecock did the roofing work before we bought the house. After numerous calls to have them come out and check a leak in the roof (over a year of calls) the owner finally came out. He told us the reason we had a leak is due to the way the workers neglected to seal the shingles on the cap. I thought this odd since they were the ones that originally did the work. He said that he would come back and take care of it ASAP. A month goes by and we call back to ask to schedule a repair service on the roof. Nothing. Calls and texts and are ignored. Finally we ask for insurance information and we get a text and I quote, «I just wanted to let you know due to cancer I am no longer in business. I did however stop by and take care of the problem area.» So my wife replies with «please send us a copy of work order, time and date for our insurance reasons. «no reply since.

They used to be my go to roofers for all my real estate transactions and when clients needed a referral. I recently needed to get a roof certification on a listing. Mike went to inspect the roof on Monday and said he could do it, on Thursday of the same week he guaranteed me I would have the certificate in writing. Nothing showed up and he quit answering my phone calls, voicemails and texts. The following Monday I finally got ahold of him using a different phone to call and he guaranteed that I would have the certificate by the end of the day. Well still nothing and again no response to phone calls etc. At this point I will be looking for a new roofing company that I can depend on to give good customer service and I can also feel good about recommending to my clients.

I couldn’t have found a better contractor. Mike showed up on-time and got the job done quickly. He explained what was wrong, why, and how he fixed it. I rarely come across vendors/contractors or individuals with such high work ethic and kind personalities anymore. I will be using Hedgecock Roofing (
) from now on and already referred them to one of my neighbors and one co-worker. The work Mike did was excellent and they repair, clean, and maintain roofs (probably install too).

Hopefully their roofing is better than their marketing.
We are a property management company. I am not sure how they got our email — can’t be too hard I am sure. But they started spamming us with email. I requested removal on multiple occasions. Finally, after about the 3^rd or 4^th request I called them for removal. We’ll see if this request sticks.
I don’t appreciate unsolicited email advertising, and particularly don’t like it when I can’t get rid of it after requesting so.

Mike is the very definition of an incredible person. His honesty and altruistic nature is amazing. He came out to investigate a roof leak, and was quickly able to figure out the problem. Of course, the investigation was at no cost and there was also no charge for the fix.
Mike and his son were also very helpful with all kinds of information about roofs in general.
And oh! Check this out, he cleaned my gutters for me! Are you kidding me? This kind of character is very rare in a dominately individualisitic society.

I have asked many roofing contractors, handyman to fix the leakage on the roof. Three of the roofers told me to replace a quarter of the roof. The house is only 8 yrs new. One handyman was trying to fix it. He made it worse. I finally found Mike on Unilocal.He came on the same day. Climbed up the roof. Found the problem. Fixed it in 30 min. No Charge.

The words I am about to write will not capture the joy Mike brought to us by fixing our leakage problem. He have a relatively new house and roof and we were dismayed when we found water damage on the wall. I got on the roof and could find nothing wrong with it. Called Mike. Mike came over within 45 mins of calling him. Got up on the latter and fixed what was an actual design problem with the gutters and the water flow. it took him 30 mins to fix, explained to me what he did to solve the issue, and he charged me NOTHING for it. I tried to pay him and he would not have any of it. I am little mad that now I need to figure out a way to return the favor (or pay forward) but Mike’s broad smile, avuncular tone and quick response just made my day and restored my hope in humankind.
