Stephanie Read Coaching

Thank goodness for Stephanie!!!
I decided to look for a life coach when I felt like therapy wasn’t exactly what I was looking for (I had previously been working with a therapist and didn’t feel it was the right route for me). I did some initial research online for life coaches in the area and set up a consultation with Stephanie, this was at the beginning of March. I have been chatting weekly ever since. I feel like Stephanie and I had an instant connection. She completely understood what I wanted to work on and helped me through some big life changes. Changes like losing a loved one (or two in my case!), looking for a new job/​career, and everyday life struggles (trying to stay healthy, how to reconnect with lost friends, how to communicate better with my husband). She has been such a positive influence for me and helps me work through even the littlest of problems (without ever making me feel like it is a little problem).
One of the many accomplishments we worked through was getting a new job! She helped me through «mock interviews», how to negotiate salary, and how to get through the first few weeks of work. I thought to myself, once I’m settled at my new job, I feel like I can stop working with Stephanie as often as I do. But I can’t. I love her positive vibes, the way she can make me rethink a problem or issue, and that sometimes things that I may have not thought were bothering me, come out in our conversation naturally.
Stephanie is easy to talk to. I feel like when I’m talking through anything, there is never judgement or criticism. Only positive feedback. And that’s what has really made me love working with her. Now I’ve become a super positive person as well. Our talks have made me look at things or problems a different way and reevaluate how i can make my decision. Even my husband has noticed a change!
I’m so grateful that in my «google search» Stephanie was there and I made the decision to consult with her. So to Stephanie: Thank you, thank you, thank you… You are the best! :)

We are all extremely lucky that Stephanie Read decided to be a Life Coach! I included the category of Career Coaching here because she has been especially helpful to me in that area. I first went to Stephanie when I was deciding between seeing a psychotherapist (using insurance) or a life coach (life coaches cannot accept insurance). I am so happy I decided on the latter — it was an investment in myself that will stay with me a lifetime. While psychotherapists concentrate on reflection, life coaches are focused on action. It really is a great investment if you find someone as smart and knowledgeable as Stephanie.
The best part of her practice, I’ve found, is that we can meet on Skype. I was hesitant at first, and she offered to meet me in person. After a few sessions on Skype, however, I preferred this method. Not only does it save time and facilitate scheduling, but it also, I’ve found, helps me to relax and think about myself during our sessions rather than the other person. Perhaps this is because I’m so comfortable with screens — who knows. It was a big surprise for me and made things easier.
