not a real Sturbucks, but a store, that sells the same products overcharging you for what you would of pay at the regular Starbucks. Service is usually nice.

Barista at the register really didn’t know their offerings and asked me to clarify things several times, which is unusual considering how much of a focus Starbucks puts on training employees. My pastry that’s usually served warmed was given to me cold. My sandwich came out fast, but overall an awkward experience.

This is the starbucks I usually go to before heading off to school. The staff are usually friendly and have never yet failed to fulfill my requests. I personally have never seen the place very packed before so this would be a good place for a short break. Overall: This is a good starbucks for a stop-and-go drink.

Updating to 2 stars — with their new ability to serve heated food, the service seems to gotten even worse, which is hard to believe. Either they yell at you in an unintelligible manner, or their face is so sour it’s like you’re putting them out by wanting to be a customer. Also check your drinks before you go, I just got a medium instead of the large I paid for.

— The place is way too cold to work. Hence, I get my drink and walk upstairs into the hotel lobby to work. — They don’t honor promotions as they are a franchise store, not a company store. + The saving grace is the super friendly staffers. Summary: If I had found another place near by, I would not come here.

This starbucks does the bare minimum and it makes me laugh every time. They don’t do rewards, so if you’re a gold member, you can’t use your«free drink» reward. They rarely fulfill my requests(ie. light ice, room, etc.) and they don’t heat up pastries or anything else for that matter… ANDYET, I always find a line out the door. It’s so close to Tufts Medical Center and sometimes it’s just amusing to see how much they change up my order; it’s like a game of telephone. On the up side, it’s always a pleasant surprise when they finally get it right! Life’s an adventure! Take a chance and if they end up getting your order right, it’s your lucky day! Go buy a lotto ticket and share half your wins with me :) PS. The 3 stars I’m giving them is purely because they always make me laugh at 7am in the morning. If you want a good café/starbucks experience, this is not your joint.

over priced coffee compare with regular Starbucks store, charge 80cents for refill cup while it is 50cents at regular store, service there is very bad.

Drinks don’t taste right. My latte doesn’t even taste like there’s any espresso in it. Is this really Starbucks?

It’s a starbucks near my workplace and for that I’m grateful. however, as opposed to say dunkin donuts where one person cannot seem to get your, ‘hot coffee with cream only’ straight, these folks go above and beyond the call of duty: typically i’m served by all three baristas, one takes my order, goes to make, another one completes. Maybe being a regular helps too ;)

Not that great of a Starbucks, mostly because it isn’t really one. It’s part of the hotel so it doesn’t take any of the Starbucks promos except it does allow you to purchase items with your Starbucks card. It’s convenient because it’s right across the street from my school, but personally, I’d rather walk the extra 10 minutes to the Summer St one near Downtown Crossing anytime. No bathroom. Small tables. No free refills even if you’re green/gold member. No Starbucks feel. Drinks are inconsistent depending on who’s making them. Oh, and crappy wi-fi, if there is any at all.

I’ve been to better Starbucks locations before. I came here a couple times because I had 10 minutes of spare time before my next class and I had to get some coffee. The service is slow and the workers are so unenthusiastic about their jobs. There is no wifi. I don’t remember if it is close enough to connect to the Tufts Medical Center guest wifi. They don’t even have a scanner for people who use the starbucks app to pay for their drinks. I studied here before and there is a lot of open space. I got my iced coffee and asked for a refill and the worker said, no we don’t do refills. I said, I am happy to pay for it, but she said no, with an angry look on her face. Alright, calm down… it’s not my fault you don’t like your job. Don’t take your anger off on customers. If you have the time, I say go down to the one on Boylston near the Copley Station. The workers there are friendlier, they have a wide selection of pastries, sandwiches. Even though it’s a little further from Tufts, I still make the trip out there just to get my coffee.

Love this Starbucks, the staff are so friendly and a lot of the food is made at the Double Tree and is delicious – I am a huge fan of the fruit cup and yogurt bowl. If only they would sell Double Tree cookies!!!

Ehh I frequent this pseudo Starbucks location because it’s close to my office. First off, the people who serve you look at you like you have three heads if you want anything not within the scope of their job. Examples: Using an E-gift card(the barista, or whatever they like to be called, asked me what the balance was before she entered it… umm ok? and then acted like it was an arduous task to input the numbers in the system), another time I asked if I could pay part of my balance in cash and put the rest on a card(no, that was too difficult for them to do), a third example is trying to use any type of Starbucks promo(aka free treat with your beverage) – this location doesn’t participate because they are affiliated with the Double Tree Hotel. Anyway, if you are more ambitious, there is another, regular, Starbucks up the street, next to the Transportation Building. Since I’m pretty lazy, I will continue to deal with the lackluster service at this particular location.

It’s close to work so I usually end up stopping here. They usually get my drink right… on the second try. I should not have to repeat my order or send it back every time, I’m very clear when ordering, and it’s a fairly simple drink, AND the same one everyday! These baristas need to take a class in listening skills.

Pros: close to tufts medical, quick and easy, hot beverage on the cold day, 10 cents off for bringing my own thermos, getting to use my own thermos Cons: um… snacks look good and I want to buy them every time I go into the shop, and I have to convince myself that coffee will do for today

This is the closest Starbucks to my office and I try to avoid it. It’s small and cramped and the staff cannot seem to make my drink the way I like it(decaf soy hazelnut latte– no judging). Around the holidays, I ordered an Egg Nog Latte cut with Soy milk and they were giving me a hard time telling me that it would still have dairy in it. Yes, I know. I wanted it *cut* with soy; I did not expect you to magically create an egg nog that is dairy-free. They’re always a little slow here and today I felt like one of the employees was just yelling the entire time. Yelling out orders, yelling the total, yelling. *sigh* I will continue to walk farther and stop at the Tremont & Washington St Starbucks instead.

Really weird that they dont have their own WiFi service. I had to use Tufts free wifi and that wireless is very sloooooooooow. I guess Dunkin Donuts is still the norm out there. I hardly seen people inside this Starbucks. It looked like only tourists that were going into this place. Also, they close very early. I had to wait til early morning. I was staying 1 block away from here. What a disappointment. It clearly isn’t like the Starbucks back on the West Coast…

It’s Starbucks — so we start at 5 stars. But — it closes early, and it’s in my hotel — so that’s 1.5 off. It’s also a bit on the small side, and seems decently busy, so it’s not the best in terms of a «third place» like it should be.

As one of my rotating morning coffee stops, this Starbucks by TMC provides decent drip coffee. Now, I point out their drip b/c the espresso drinks are pretty crappy. As friendly and efficient as the staff is, no one here seems to be able to make an even remotely good latte. With that in mind, stop by for the coffee and leave the rest alone.

This Starbucks location is in the Chinatown/New England Medical Center/Tufts Medical Center area of Downtown Boston. Although it has a street entrance, it is also connected to the Doubletree Hotel. It is not a very large Starbucks compared to other locations, but there are about 10 – 15 small tables for seating. The menu is standard with an assortment of tasty drinks and snacks. I am currently enjoying the Christmas blend drip coffee — an annual favorite for me. The staff is very friendly and service was efficient. The nearest T stop is the Tufts Medical Center Stop. Starbucks is less than a block from the Washington St. exit. Note that there are competing coffee experts nearby in the Tufts Medical Center(Au Bön Pain, Dunkin Donuts). The internet provider here is the hotel wifi system(Hilton Honors). Starbucks will give you a promotion code so you can get online for free. Wall outlets are limited for longer term computer usage. Enjoy!
