Pete’s Dockside

Giving Pete’s 5 stars just based on the service. All the guys that work here were so nice and knew all the regulars and, while I wasn’t one, were patient while I figured out what I wanted. The food was great, home style food that just makes you feel good when you eat it. Definitely coming back!

This is a legit breakfast place obviously frequented by locals. No fuss, big portions, good coffee. And yes, it is in an industrial park. It’s walking distance from several hotels, so if you are in town don’t be afraid to stroll on over.

What a great authentic breakfast spot that’s a little off the beaten path. Huge, delicious and piping hot breakfast dishes served up by a fun and friendly crew. My family had breakfast there along with the burly dock workers. One thing is for sure… you won’t leave hungry.

Omg they have some unbelievable pizza. must try… you won’t have any regrates. I go to a lot of pizza place’s BUT this place has the best by far!!! It’s a defiinate must… and everyone there is very friendly!!! A must go,!!! Try the bee sting pizza awesome wow…,…That’s all I’m saying!

Awesome breakfast!!! I have to admit I thought we were going to a dump when I saw the outside lol. It’s super clean inside though, and the staff was very nice. I had a breakfast burrito… YUM! And my husband had a scrambler platter which was equally as delicious. Prices were pretty amazing too, especially for how much food you get. We would definitely go back!

So I wasn’t expecting much and the place looked closed, but once we got in it was nice and clean. We placed our order and the cook behind the counter let us order everything and take our drinks. He asked us to just let him know at the end what we had. That’s a leap of faith in human trust! I oddly enough felt very trusted here with that local, small town feel.
Food was amazing! I had the special with eggs, bacon, and pancakes with chocolate milk. Seriously come here!!!

This place is great and I plan to come back! The food and people and atmosphere were all part of it, very enjoyable.

Legit!!! Hard to find if your not local or work on the dock but prices are very reasonable. Portions are huge and food tastes great. What more could you ask for. #hiddengem

Had the grilled chicken sandwich on a roll and it was really good. No frills! My husband had the chicken tenders and fries and they were amazing. I think they’re beer battered? And huge! Great stop walking distance from harpoon if you are waiting now for a tour.

Wow this place was a hidden treasure. Thank you fellow Unilocalers! The food is cheap and really good. We ordered a Ruben sandwich which was great. We also ordered the fish and chips. It was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place even though it isn’t easy to find. FYI it’s location is in between industrial buildings.

Had a very nice breakfast here with a friend visiting from out of town. Very fast friendly service and great food. I had the breakfast burrito and he had eggs and sausage. Big heaping portions and tons of dockside charm. I’ll be back soon and often.

Good haddock. Very fresh. Would have preferred fresh fries not frozen. They had malt vinegar by request.

This is a great lunch spot. In order for me to get there, if feels like you have to walk through a shipping yard, and you worry a couple times that I was trespassing, but it’s worth it went you arrive. They move the line fast and serve a variety of foods. It seemed like the bacon hamburger is very popular. I came for the fish and chips, which as a warning, is likely the items that takes them the longest to prepare for you. But it’s worth the wait. Great fish, great fries, decent cole slaw. The fish is seasoned in a very pleasing way. It might be a tad on the salty side, but it’s oh so good.

Loved it! I had the daily special, haddock with greens beans and mashed potatoes. So good! Really enjoyed it.

This is some great home cooked food. If you can find them you will have a meal to remember… I had the breakfast burrito– ham sausage bacon cheese and home fries

Snickerdoodle coffee. Love this place. Off the beaten path but totally worth it for lunch. Affordable and homemade. Yum. If you’re in the area and need a quick bite to eat, this is your place.

Most recently, I have had their mac and cheese, hot dog, and buffalo chicken salad.
I love their hot dogs, they are quite long and the buns are toasted on the griddle with butter.
Their mac and cheese had a good texture, nice and creamy, but could use some salt/​seasoning/​etc.
The buffalo chicken salad, small, comes in a small salad container, but stuffed with two very large chicken tenders drenched in buffalo sauce. They drizzle your dressing choice (I had ranch) on the salad, and the hot buffalo chicken sort of oozes on the salad… in a good way! It made it so that the salad almost had a buffalo ranch sauce on it. If that doesn’t sound appealing to you, maybe you can ask for the chicken in another container.
Also, I have to say that I really like their staff. While they might not have a big smile on their face, they are pleasant and get the job done (quickly). The line moves fast!
ps– A hot dog with a (HUGE) side of mac and cheese is $ 5.30. A small buffalo chicken salad is a little over $ 6.
