A lot of our great college parties were held at the Matrix including some great benefit events!
The club is not the fanciest and is a little grungy but the space is well laid out and there are tons of fun areas to dance. The drinks are also reasonably priced and the bar surface-​area is huge so that you can usually find a spot up against the bar to bug the bartenders from…
They are very accommodating for events and have even let my friends help DJ in the DJ booth for fun!

It is what it is at MATRIX… it only has one room now… the other side has become what is now known as Underbar… Fridays is an 18+ college HipHop night… and Saturdays will be taking over the ROXY saturdays House crowd as Roxy goes to latin on Sats… They have been doing some recent renovations, which have made the place look a whole lot better than it had prior… I’ve also heard that they will be changing the name to PURE in the next month… So keep your ears open for some new hot nights…

The Matrix is overall a pretty fun time. The music is a mix of techno and hip-​hop, but it’s true– the majority of the crowd tends to be under 21. It can get ridiculously crowded, leading to problems leaving. Still, I had fun there.

It’s a cheap club, and perfect for the 18+ crowd, as there aren’t many who let in under 21. However, if you *are* 21 or over, you’re in free. Not bad. There’s a hip-​hop floor and a techno floor, and, yes, even a cage to dance in. The people who come here aren’t the classiest (hey, they’re probably looking to find a cute 18 year old fresh outta high school) so I wouldn’t go here for a girl’s night out.
