Dot is the third trainer I’ve tried for my rescue dog. She is the first one who’s really «gotten» my dog and given us some concrete steps to take to help him navigate the world. He loves working with her (so do I!) and it’s really made a difference in his behavior.
I appreciate that instead of trying to teach him everything at once we’ve been doing shorter sessions and mastering one thing at a time. Then we set a follow-up appointment to take on the next step.
She’s great to work with, and her prices are very reasonable!

Dorothy is an EXTRAORDINARY pet behaviorist, for cats as well as dogs (and let me tell you, it’s not easy to find someone who knows cats).
We found her through our vet (Dr. Ulrich at Huron Vet. Clinic) because were having difficulty introducing our new kitten to our cats. She was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. She talked us through a good long-term strategy after asking many questions, and she was also very reassuring to us when we were stressed and worried.
Her hourly rate is reasonable, she makes house visits, she returns phone calls within 24 hours– she’s marvelous! I just can’t recommend her highly enough.
