History

Established in 1996.

Built as a single family merchant home in 1863, the residence was completely rebuilt by current owner Stephen Gross to operate as an urban bed and breakfast. Situated in the hip and historic South End, Clarendon Square welcomes both business and leisure travelers from cultures around the globe seven days a week, year round.

Business Owner

Stephen Gross began Clarendon Square 18 years ago with just one room. Several years later he has developed the property you see today. Stephen’s background includes careers in mortgage banking, residential construction and historic preservation. He enjoys all aspects of owning the inn, but especially enjoys speaking with guests about their lives and personal adventures. His passion for guests’ satisfaction and comfort drive the Clarendon Square standard. Stephen enjoys traveling to all parts of the world and experiencing the unique qualities of well designed inns and boutique hotels.
