At Boston Olive Oil You will have a opportunity to taste and compare over 40 of the finest imported Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars.

At our unique Tasting Bar we store our Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars in stainless steel Fusti’s from Italy, to preserve and protect their individual flavors ensuring the freshest available Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Aged Balsamic Vinegars.

Our Olive Oils are grown and pressed by small artisans and framers from around the world, our balsamic Vinegars are harvested in Modena, Italy, imported to our store and both are bottled on premies on a taste first, bottle to order basis. Our Olive Oils are100% Extra Virgin, unfiltered.

Our Balsamic Vinegars produced in the traditional Modena style are aged in wood barrels for up to 18 years.

Our Products do not contain any preservatives, chemicals or additives.

Everyone from novice cook to seasoned chef can enjoy a healthy flavorful lifestyle.

They have great selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegar, it’s worth a drive to Newbury Street. My favorite balsamic is the Pomegranate. Or the Fig. You can taste everything before you purchase.

If you’re looking for something tasty to go on your salad or a unique gift that has a personal touch from Boston, this is a great place. What can one say about miniature cups to taste any and everything in the store?! For some reason, the Fig flavor is my go to choice because it seems to pair with everything! The staff are very nice and helpful.

If you are looking for a place to get a good gift or find some amazing things to put in a salad this is your place. It is underground on Newberry Street and they The only things that they sell are seasonings, Olive oil and balsamic vinegar, however, they have an incredible selection. If you talk to anyone who works there, they can recommend a good pairing of olive oil and vinegar, or you can mix and match the products yourself to see what you like. I personally like the garlic flavor olive oil and the pumpkin flavored balsamic vinegar. I know the combination sound strange but it really works. If you are ever cruising around Newberry Street I would go in here even if you aren’t planning on buying anything. It is really interesting just to see the different types of olive oil and spices available.

I loved this place. The oils are amazing and being able to try them before buying is just priceless! My favorite one was the green chili olive oil, but the garlic one was also to die for! The staff is so helpful and friendly, they started mixing some samples with vinegar for us. Also they have a smaller size which is more affordable and also perfect if you are traveling, like I was.
I’d love for them to open up in Washington! highly recommended!

Went in here not knowing what to expect. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a lovely staff member who explained to me the tasting process. They had over 25 balsamic vinegars and a seemingly infinite supply of infused olive oil. They import their oils from all over the world, depending on where is currently harvesting so it’s always fresh. I was a bit skeptical when the employee mixed up a tasting cup of their Strawberry Balsamic with their Basil Olive Oil. Upon entering my mouth I was overwhelmed with bliss! You never would think of these flavors meshing with such intense harmony! I walked out with two large bottles, and have been going back for more ever since. The owner had actually been in that day, and took the time to write down some fun recipes for me. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to spice up their cooking/​every day food adventures! Oh and did I mention they have white balsamic vinegars? Not only do they exist, but you can even put them in your beverage! The grapefruit citrus was my favorite. Yummy!

This review is coming from someone who has been content with buying olive oil for about $ 5 from Trader Joe’s for quite some time.
Admittedly, I was taken aback by the cost of the oils here. HOWEVER, the prices reflect the taste and quality of them, which were undeniably amazing. The staff there is extremely knowledgeable about the production of these oils, and they will gladly teach you a thing or two about what to look for in terms of taste and pairings. This is a fairly quiet and unassuming shop, and you can sample all the different oils offered. I died for the harissa and the garlic infused oils (they make a KILLER harissa cauliflower dish). I’m headed back there soon to pick up some Christmas gifts!

This place is a rare gem with a bunch of rare and delicious treats to choose from! This is an amazing place to get the perfect gift for an foodie who appreciates real olive oil. The flavor infused ones will blow your mind. I have been going here for four or five years, and it’s become a wonderful tradition. The proprietors are incredibly helpful and kind, the shop continues to become lovelier and they did an excellent job on their new website. It’s a pleasure doing business with Boston Olive Oil company, and I hope they know that!

I went in a little while ago because I’ve always been curious and I thought it would inspire me as far as holiday shopping goes. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They even looked up the ingredients of a specific balsamic for me, which I appreciated since I have specific dietary restrictions. I did not buy anything, but I felt like all of my needs were met and I did not feel pressured to buy anything. The walk ways were a bit of a squeeze at times, but that is expected in a small store in the winter with everyone’s big coats. I will definitely be back!

Rude staff pushed the snooty tasting policy numerous times as though we weren’t serious about buying. We went to another store down the street and spent $ 300 on their superior olive oils. Suck on that taste testing policy.

Amazing. Came here this past Saturday with my mother and her friend. At first I thought I would feel uncomfortable, as many people look at me as too young to enjoy these types of things (early 20s) so I thought I was not going to be taken seriously. but the staff was awesome at recommending combinations, answering my questions, and at one time I mentioned that I loved the lavender balsamic and she immediately offered to mix it with something that she thought would go well with it. and whipped up the combo for all 3 of us to try.
It may be a little pricy, but for those who appreciate great flavors will be okay with it. I got a few balsamics to put on my salads.
All in all we left with 7 bottles! A great afternoon of shopping!

I came in totally ignorant of the wild world of olive oil and balsamic, but thanks to the passionate and knowledgable staff I emerged a little wiser and armed with Christmas gifts that were a total hit!
At first I was shocked at all of the varieties but I was quickly educated on the delightfully intricate art of making pairings. Getting to taste so many different combinations and being taught about what to look for as I sampled them was a great experience. The whole time there I felt like the staff were more concerned with educating my palette instead of simply getting me to make a purchase. They offered free bread to go with the tastings which really helped to give them context, and then water to cleanse the palette! Kudos, BOOC.
It can always be intimidating to enter a world you know nothing about, but with such amicable and enthusiastic folks running the place my experience was a remarkably pleasant one! Definitely a must if you’re looking to expand your culinary arsenal or just want to have some fun.

I went in today to buy some Christmas gifts. The woman/​clerk was very helpful and I was very appreciative. At checkout I presented my credit card (which reflected a strong personal belief) and the woman made a very unprofessional and snide remark. A man behind the counter amplified her ignorance and stupidity. Once they realized they had grossly offended me by mocking my values… they started backpedaling fiercely. Too late. I may have been a $ 300 a year customer for them. They’ll never know. My advice: pay cash and don’t talk to these morons.

WIthout question, totally addictive. High quality products, but have them mix oils and/​or vinegars together. You won’t be the same. We’ve not encountered policy problems that others here have; they forewarn you.
I forewarn you that their products are both addictive and fabulously tasty. Not cheap. Wicked delicious. I wish the sold gallon containers.

I don’t typically sip olive oil, but I make an exception at the Boston Olive Oil Company. The olive oils and balsamic vinegars are phenomenal. They have croutons on hand for tastings, but the oils and vinegars are so good the croutons are totally unnecessary. My favorite olive oil was a classic basil infused flavor. I wish I could just go in there with a bucket of fresh mozzarella and tomatoes… but I digress. Try them all and good luck limiting yourself to purchasing just one! These make excellent gifts for yourself or someone else.

Here I can find condiments that can help me prepared my meals from salad, appetizers, main course and even desserts! Pour this in, Mix that, Drizzle that… and my food will taste fantastic!

Oh my goodness… what an amazing store! My dad was in town visiting and was telling me about an olive oil company where he lives. We did a little googling and found that Boston had one of its very own.
We arrived right about opening time and there were already a few people tasting and checking everything out. We were greeted by a super friend staff member who gave us an overview of how the tasting worked.
While the olive oil is good, but the winners for me were all balsamic vinegar. There were tons of great flavors and I loved that they gave suggestions for pairings with oil to make a flavorful combo. I ended up going home with a large bottle of the Dark Chocolate Balsamic Vinegar and Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar. Mmmm… I’ve already used them several times and they tasted just as great at home as they did in the store.
In addition to the oils and vinegar, they also had some cooking spices including truffle salt. Holy crap that stuff was amazing. It sits on my counter top just asking to be used every day!
I’ll definitely be back and I’ll be bringing a notebook so I can write down what I taste/​like as I go.

This place is awesome. I really wish I had known that this little gem existed a looong time ago!
I was looking for a unique birthday gift for my sister on Newbury street and found myself in front of the Boston Olive Oil Company. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and saw what looked like a bright little bar with tons of taps of olive oil and vinegar. Did I just walk into foodie heaven?
The staff was immediately helpful and encouraged me to grab some bread and start trying things out. I was looking for something unique but not TOO crazy and I ended up going with two customer favorites — the pomegranate balsamic and a Tuscan herb olive oil. If you ask the staff will happily suggest and mix the pairs together for you to try out. The prices for such gourmet products are extremely reasonable and I even tried some truffle salt (a-​ma-​zing of course) which they will soon be selling!
The bottles were wrapped up in tissue paper for me (guess who saved $$ on gift wrapping!) and the girl who was helping me printed out the descriptions for me to add in the gift. If you are just looking to sample some new products, buy a gift, or want to try out a unique oil or vinegar in your cooking do not hesitate to come here!
