Boston Common Visitor’s Information Center

Enjoyed seeing the historic sites and hearing the stories behind them, but didn’t leave with a renewed feeling of patriotism. Tour guide continually pointed out mistakes or shortcomings of founding fathers or American society as a whole. Went on the tour for history lesson not sociology lesson.

Our tour was led by Prudence Cummings Wright (character name) on ⁹⁄₂₇. I forgot the tickets as we were rushing to leave and Prudence was very nice about it, allowing me to email her the confirmation that I purchased and still go on the tour. She was funny and very informative on the sites we visited. I dragged my boyfriend along and he enjoyed it as much as I did which was a bit of a shock. I would recommend this tour to anyone who’s never been to Boston and is interested in history.
I only gave 4 stars because the tour was 11 of the 16 sites and we would have had to pay for a separate tour to see the others. However, the tour ended at Faneuil Hall which was right next to an awesome market where we visited.

The tour we were on was pretty good. The guide was informative and funny. The other guides were rude and down right nasty. In full custome, we tried to get a photo. The guide have us the finger. Welcome to Boston.

Yay for a pit stop and informational flyers. Boo for the prevailing Boston attitude of disdain– I wish I’d talked to the smiling lady, but I got the teenager who not only didn’t crack a single pleasant expression, but basically just said, «yeah, we have brochures over there.» Dead pan.

What everyone else has been saying: friendly staff, clean washrooms, water fountains to stay hydrated. It’s also the start of the Freedom Trail, where most tours depart from! WOOT WOOT!
Super close to the Park T station, its a must-​visit place to tourists and locals to find out what’s going on in Boston.

Lovely people working there. I even got a free map (;. Some of the prices for basic maps/​information are too high. What do you expect, a tourist is a money bag. Although, if you’re a visitor, this should be your first destination. You will recieve all the free information on things to do in Boston and you will have all of your questions answered by the friendly staff.

This is one of the better Visitor’s Information Center in Boston I visited!
Not only it is the starting point of Freedom Trail Tour, it also has knowledgeable staffs and packed with Information!
Mostly important is it has such clean restrooms facilities! And water fountains to fill up your water bottles too!
Right across from the Park T Station… at least now I know where to find clean washrooms when I am in the area!
