Speakeasy Art Gallery is located in the Boonton Art District in New Jersey and began as an arts collective formed by Paul Jach in 2001. In 2009, Speakeasy Art went from pop up exhibits in New York City to a permanent gallery space on Boonton’s Main Street.
The gallery showcases the work of local and international contemporary artists. The curators at the gallery offer art collectors and enthusiasts a playful mix of Hi Art with an edge and Lowbrow with masterful technique. Speakeasy Art Gallery insures that the art it exhibits possess inviting esthetics and a desire to explore new and original ideas. Owners Paul & Kristy Jach provide an accessible and welcoming environment to anyone with a passion for the arts.
Though Speakeasy Art is foremost a gallery space, it also serves the community with youth and adult art classes, professional custom picture framing, live performances, educational workshops and events.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Paul Jach has been a working artist since receiving his BFA majoring in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA in 1998.
He has exhibited nationally in several solo and group shows. Paul has created event posters for Carnegie Hall’s Weill Auditorium, The Fillmore West and Warfield Auditorium for such artists as Fiona Apple, Blur and the John Spencer Blues Explosion.
In 2001, Paul formed the art collective, Speak-Easy Art. The name references the alternate venues where the collective got it’s start and the independent feel of the work. In January of 2009, Paul opened Speakeasy Art Gallery located in Boonton, NJ. The gallery sets a new standard in showcasing established and emerging artists. The space is both interesting and accessible to all art enthusiasts.
As owner of the gallery, Paul serves as curator and education director. He teaches classes in drawing, painting, printmaking and computer arts to children and adults. In 2010 Paul received his maste
