Ascension New Age Bookstore & Café is now a Village Post Office, and can handle your shipping needs for Priority Mail, or First Class Stamp sales. Coming soon, we will also be functioning as a DMV independent site where you can register your vehicle, obtain liability insurance, and have documents notarized.

Ascension continues to offer a wide selection of rare and out of print, new and used metaphysical books, as well as affordable supplies and and unique gifts such as crystals, fairies, incense, pendulums, and candles. We not only offer gentle guidance and Ascension Tools for those who are just waking up, but we also enjoy conversations with, and sometimes can provide options for, those who are further along on their path.

We have several thousand highly discounted used books, sold by the ounce, always in stock, and we carry all types and all subjects, fiction and non-​fiction, paperback and hard cover.

Children’s Books are located outside in the entryway, and are available for the children in this community 24 hours a day, by donation. If parents or grandparents, or teachers wish to «load up» on the children’s books, there is a black donation box by our front door.

Our espresso bar and café features lattes and cappuccino crafted from freshly ground, imported beans which are locally roasted. Everything is fair trade, and organic.

History

Established in 2007.

Ascension was started with an online operation in 2007, and in 2012 we opened a brick and mortar store located in the Bonsall Village Shopping Center, on Highway 76 near the post office.

In 2013 we expanded to a larger space in the same shopping center to include an espresso bar and café, and in March 2015 added the US Post Office and DMV & Insurance Services.

Kathi C.

Business Owner

Kathryn Carbone, owner of Ascension, has been serving as the Honorary Mayor of Bonsall since 2013.

Kathi is the founder and owner of Ascension New Age Bookstore & Café, and she has a diverse background in Business Management, Public Relations, Sales Management, Real Estate, and Finance. She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, and is a published professional writer.

Kathi is also a California Real Estate Broker, as well as an Insurance Agent for Life, Health, Property and Casualty. She is married and lives in Fallbrook with her husband, John.
