History

Established in 2001.

Our goal has always been to provide loving, experienced care right in the clients home. Having many pets myself I found it difficult to leave even for a day. Originally we only cared for pets in their homes. With several sitters hired on now we were able to offer limited home boarding to dogs in two of our homes. We continue to grow into new areas and expand in the areas we already service. Let’s make history together, give us a call!

I grew up in the northwest living with up to 10 collies at our breeding and show kennel, Showdown Collies. I worked for The Ark Pets and Supplies in Issaquah for eight years giving me a good view of the products available and troubleshooting problems with customers. I also spent two years working as a vet tech for Factoria Veterinary Clinic which rounded out my knowledge of health related issues with pets. I then got «serious» and went to work as a computer programmer. Today this has enabled me to evaluate and select technology that works for our company. As much as I loved technology I found that it didn’t feed my soul the way pets do. Knowing what a pet is thinking and what they need is my specialty, my gift as it were. All of us here care deeply about pets, it’s not just a job to us, it’s a lifestyle. Your creatures comfort truly comes first with every one of us here at Kelly’s Creature Comforts LLC.

I have been bringing my spoiled 4 year old lab blue healer to Kelly’s for over 2 Years maybe longer. I love Kelly’s. I know my dog won’t be locked up. She will get her exercise which she needs (our dog is an athlete) and will be loved and cared for by one of the best in this area.
Both my daughter’s bring there dogs there and love it.

Kelly is absolutely wonderful! I have taken both of my puppies to her since they were about 6 months old. They love going to daycare, and I know that they are safe and happy. Anytime I leave town Kelly is always my first choice for boarding. I love the homelike atmosphere, and Kelly even texts me updates if I request them. There’s really no better person to trust your best friends with than Kelly! :)

After an initial phone call with Kelly (the owner) I decided to have a meet and greet. During the initial conversation on the phone I gave an extensive background on how we treat our dog as family. I made it clear to her that we have had him for 6 of his 7 years and he has never been spanked nor will he ever. I informed her of how his first owner treated him very poorly. Kelly made it seem as though she was compassionate and loved the dogs. Upon arriving Kelly was folding blankets and cleaning up dog hair while approx 8 dogs were playing outside. My first impression with her was not pleasing as she consistently made comments about how I am wrong in raising my boy the way I have. My dog is the only dog who gets hikes everyday, and is spoiled rotten with love and cuddles, has been fixed and goes to the vet for routine checkups. How is this wrong? My dog hasn’t been raised around other dogs and gets nervous around them. Kelly made a comment that its my negative energy causing this and not that he is nervous. She then proceeded to allow Luke to meet the other dogs. When I mentioned perhaps we should start with one dog at a time, she ignored me and opened up the door to allow all 8 of the dogs to come running up to Luke which naturally made him more nervous. Every time Luke would try to sniff at a dog Kelly would grit her teeth and swat Luke with a plastic ball thrower. I made it clear we don’t hit him; besides who does she think she is by doing so? It made me concerned that if she is going to ignore what I have to say and hit him in front of me what will she do when I am not around? I wasn’t even there for 10 minutes and she swatted at him 3 times so I left with my English Pointer making it clear why I was leaving. Her response to me was «I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings». No my feelings weren’t hurt, she’s just incredibly unprofessional and I don’t trust her with my dog.
