Just left store after waiting a half hour for 1 of the 9 employees on the floor to help me. Oh well they lost a 15,000 purchase. The woman behind what seems to be the front or side counter looked at me a few times, I figured she will send someone to me. I guess not.

I walked in here looking for a gift. Simple. Elegant. Classy. Not-showboaty. Not-ridiculous. The store was empty at 6ish on a Friday so I essentially had unobstructed views of the cases and took my time with most. With the aforementioned criteria in my mind, I had shifted from case to case in barely no time, selecting 3 options from here that might do the trick. Vicki, the store manager, had brought the 3 options with her as I progressed through the store and let me compare the items next to each other. As is the case with most jewelry stores, she didn’t let me see the prices of the items and that’s fine by me since at that moment price didn’t mean a thing. I wanted the nicest looking piece, after all it was going to be a gift. After some deliberating, we had begun negotiations. I had haggled my way down 25% in addition to the already 60% off price and had the lifetime insurance tossed in for free. Even after walking out the store earlier to check out the other shops in the area, Vicki really wanted the piece out of there. Note: the lifetime warranty, well, it’s only good if you go back to a Zales store and get it cleaned. With the original receipt. Otherwise it is voided.
