A Boise original. A beautiful, historic and great Brunswick back-bar. This bar has survived a slew of imbecile owner-operators, but it is so busy now, I had to stand. That’s good news, I’d hate to see this place disappear.

This bar is absolutely beautiful, but the management is so terrible. There’s a vape display case as you first walk in. Why? Such a turn off. This bar is trying way too hard to be another Bistro or China Blue. I can only hope that who ever owns this bar sells it to someone who cares about it and will treat it like the amazing bar it should be very very soon. The bartender Anne, was the only good thing about this bar. I will not return here unless the owner changes.

I will never go back and neither will anyone in my network. I was just there for a fundraiser and I was representing two businesses that were sponsers for the event. There was an erratic girl that was dancing crazy and grabbing people in an inappropriate manner, saying creepy things to them. My husband being one of them. He’s a champ and took it well. Even though he felt violated by «the crazy chick» which is what everyone was calling her. I tried talking to her but she was too intoxicated and kept coming back and disturbing me. Keep in mind that she kept going outside near the stage(probably doing whatever drug she was on) and the security guard that we were directed to just nodded his head and walked away. She came back in strong, grabbing all sorts of people like she was earlier. The cocktail waitress directed us back to the«security guard» that was supposed to help us earlier. When we told him that she was back, he said that he had to stay where he was. Even though there were two of them there. He pointed out the owner and told me to talk to him. Guess what? He just pretended to care but not until he was very rude and not understanding at all. Long story short, many of us left early and will never return. Fundraiser or not. This is not the place to do anything that’s supposed to be viewed in a positive manner. No one should have to feel uncomfortable at a fundraiser and unfortunately this was not the case from the get go. I’ll never back anything that goes on here again.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. When you think of a classic dark-wood bar that breathes like it’s been around for a century, this is like that. I have yet to see a show here, but I’m making it a priority. I ended up here on a Saturday night when the band was a no-show and the place was low-key and inviting. I’m in love.

I never like the fact of a «cover charge» and there is one here. the seating wasn’t all that great, it didn’t seem like there was a whole lot of seating all together. The live music the night I was there«Farm dog» was good and I enjoyed it. The actual bar is one of the best looking bars I have seen to this day. Drinks seemed to be spendy $ 10 for two beers, may be better to hit them up at happy hour. The wait staff never came around and we had to go get our beers at the bar ourselves. After doing so they finally came over to see if we needed anything. It was an OK experience over all. Not bad, but not great. I am glad I went but will not have my heart set on returning.
