Leaf Teahouse is a contemporary tearoom in the heart of downtown Boise, Idaho, committed to providing high quality, loose-​leaf teas from around the world.

Our teahouse menu is 100% vegan and offers a selection of fresh salads, sandwiches, healthy small plates and snacks with gluten free and raw options.

All of our teas are available for bulk purchase, too. Sit down and enjoy a cup, then take some home to share with your family and friends

History

Established in 2014.

Ever since she began visiting Boise in 2007, owner Susan Judge has enjoyed the city, its culture, and natural surroundings. However, she felt the downtown core was missing something she sought: a place to enjoy a cup of well-​made cup of specialty tea. Thinking that others would enjoy the same thing, she moved to Boise in 2013 with plans to start Leaf Teahouse. A tea aficionado since her high school days, Susan has studied teas and tea culture for many years, and enjoys sharing her knowledge and hospitality with others.

Geoff Hill, Susan’s son and an alumnus of the College of Idaho, is an aspiring orchestral violinist who currently performs with the Boise Philharmonic, Boise Baroque Orchestra, Boise Classical Revolution, Oregon East Symphony, and a variety of other ensembles. Surrounded by aspects of Chinese and Japanese culture as he was growing up in the Northwest, he has a natural affinity for tea, and is proud to be able to share it with the people of Boise.
