History

Established in 2011.

Holmes and Larson was formed in 2011. Jay Holmes and John Larson joined forces to create a forward thinking, caring and up beat accounting firm. Starting with mostly tax returns, they have grown into a firm that offers many services. They welcome new challenges and strive to help each individual and business to the best of their ability.

On October 1st, Holmes and Larson shed its «traditional» name and replaced it with Blueback Accounting. The name fits the companies personality; it’s relatable, likable, involved, inquisitive and creative.

Business Owner

Jay Holmes is a licensed CPA in the state of Idaho. His formal education took place at California State University, Chico where he earned a B.S. in Finance and minored in Accounting. His «hands-on» education has been taking place since his first tax season in 2004.

Jay took his excitement with word problems and combined them with a strong accounting (the «language of business» in Jay’s words) background in order to provide his clients with his passion — helping business owners understand what their numbers mean… Read more on our website.
