Sultan Hookah Bar

This is the worst hookah bar. I used to come here with friends a couple years ago and they used to be slammed packed we would have to sit outside! There was barely anyone there… It took the girl 20 minutes to bring us our hookah and it tasted terrible ! Was extremely harsh, they have a new ownership. We complained to one of the workers and he didn’t see to give two shits and made us pay for it! His name was «Tasmim». End of story don’t waste your money here there’s plenty of hookah bars in the area that are way better! No wonder they lost so much cliental!

Horrible hookahs. I got the two apple flavor after 30 minutes of smoking it started hitting really hard. I told the waitress and she admitted that the tobacco they served me was burnt so she changed the hookah head for me. The second hookah hit good for another 30 minutes and I told her and she took the hookah brought a new one and after 5 puffs it started hitting really harsh again. She took the hookah back again and returned stating that she needs to refill it and I would have to pay for a refill. Both of the waitresses agreed that the hookah was not hitting well but the owner was not willing to understand that his hookah was just not hitting well. I smoke hookah for hours and never have trouble and he said that their hookahs only last 45 minutes. I don’t know about you but if you smoke hookah and you know what you’re doing I would stay away from this place. Burnt tobaccos and Chinese hookahs. Rookies welcome.

Hookahs where made in China, for the sake of your wallet don’t come here ! They don’t offer half the items on there menus

Worst hookah bar ever. Waiter gives me a menu and says I’ll give you 5 minutes and comes back for my order. I order and he says «oh all we have is kefta, that’s an old menu» okay then why give me a menu of you don’t serve anything on it? Then the Chinese hookah they gave me cost $ 20 and had half a head of tobacco. The hookah also tasted like crap. Even the $ 2 bag of chips i ordered had only one chip in it. This place is worthless go to darna.

I went here three different times. The first time was the best, we sat outside and the staff was very attentive, hookah perfect and tea perfect. The 2^nd time my friends and I were waiting for 15 minutes. nobody came by to take our order. Frustrated, we left. And I just went again last night. We sat inside, it was okay. I didn’t get carded all 3 times I went, and there looked like a lot of kids underage. The dark room doesn’t have good air filtration and the main room stinks like grease. The hookah is good and fairly priced, and their hot tea is off the chain! Best bet would be to find a table outside to avoid obnoxious teens and the smell of grease.

The lounge is nice to sit in. Plenty of cushioned sheets. However some of them are getting old and springs are coming out of the under padding. The flavors are great. I tried Code 69 and guava. They do not come by at all to check your coal on top and do not really introduce you to hookah if you are not as knowledgable about it. So you’re basically on your own. The music can be very loud as well, a mix of pop and Arabic/​new age, but that all depends on whether you want to socialize or chill by yourself, the musical drowns out all other sounds.

If i could give this place less than 1 star, i would. Hookah was absolute crap… The quality overall was terrible. They use cheap quick light coals along with cheap hookahs. The couches were torn up like they were attacked by a grizzly bear and the tables were all burnt up from coals. Music was also poor. By far the worst hookah experience i ever had and do not recommend this place. The lady gave herself a 15% tip as if she provided some type of quality service. Go elsewhere for the sake of your time and wallets!

Well… because funky buddah is usually packed we found this place. First time we ordered, service was extreamly slow. Asked if the table can be cleaned since there was dirt everywhere and never showed up. we also ordered pies, came out very greasy. The ice hose they tricked us because it had the correct hose but no ice. Bill was much lower then expected which was nice and the reason we came a second time.
Today we came and wanted to sit inside, as the hostess sat us the owner or manager yelled at us it was reserved.. like its our fault? So we sat outside everything was fine until we went to pay. Way overpriced for what we received. 39 bucks for a hookah and tea? Smh. The hookah in the past two experiences have been over packed and burnt quickly. They dont give u tongs and only 2 coals.
Overall, wait for room at funky buddah. atleast there nice and dont over charge.

I wish there was a NO STAR rating. During my visit to Fort Lauderdale, my friends and I ended up at this place for the purpose of hookah and some good food. Unfortunately, we ended up at the wrong place. Waitress had no clue what she was doing. She was extremely confused and also taking way too long with everything. I asked her to refill our hookah and she came back 20 minutes later telling us that it is impossible to do so. We ordered food as soon as she took our order which was at 10:00pm. But we waited for an hour and half and no food. So when my patience ran thin and I finally said something, she came out and said,… SORRY WE HAVE NO FOOD… Like WTH… they couldn’t say this earlier.
Well ok… I asked her to bring our bill for the few puffs of hookah we took. 15 minutes further into the night, she brings us the bill and WOW… she brings us the WRONG BILL. The bill belonged to another table.
IF you want to waste your time. and have time to waste. you should go to this place for sure.

Terrible environment, terrible music, and even worse service. The waiter had no idea what he was doing, he took forever to bring out 2 greasy meat pies and the desert never came. when we were leaving they did not know the prices for any of the food we had ordered and they didn’t even keep any tabs on what people were eating so it was based purely off their memory. never going back to this dirty hole in the wall hookah bar

Terrible and dirty. Don’t bother.

The hookah and vibe are great but the service is so unbelievably slow you had to get up and find someone every time you needed something. Maybe it’s better on a busier night but for today it was horrible. I came on my spring break and I most defiantly will not be returning again. I would rather have a seedier place with great service than a beautifully crafted lounge with absolutely no service.

Ask for Juniors pineapple special hookah and the foul appetizer was just out of the world. Definitely worth going. Real friendly people

Just change the music to something this century and the experience would be more enjoyable

First off, let me say I’m a little disappointed to give this review because I do have good friends that work here, but my last experience here was unsatisfactory. The hookah itself was great. I had an apple head with strawberry margarita mint mixed in it and it tasted fantastic.
Cons? Our server was very nice, but a lot of the time she did not really seem to know what she was talking about. I took her recommendation for a fresh fruit smoothie. I told her straight up, I don’t like watermelon, but she guaranteed me that the watermelon mixed with apple would be barely noticeable and that I would love it. She then said if I didn’t, I could get another drink so I was relieved, took her recommendation and agreed.
It tasted like straight watermelon so I apologized and asked if she could please take it back and if I could exchange it for another. She said sure, and left. Next thing I know the manager or whoever comes to my table and says in a kind of rude tone, «What’s wrong with the smoothie?» And tell him what she said and he is refusing to make me another one and says that I ordered it so I have to drink it and she hasn’t tried it so I shouldn’t be taking recommendations from her… wait, what? And then she comes back, I guess completely unaware of the situation and says he’s making my new smoothie now. I then inform her that he isn’t. He does at least add some more apple to the smoothie and I drank it. But how are you going to recommend something you’ve never had, tell me I can exchange it, then not even know your boss said I can’t?
Even if he couldn’t, the way he approached it made me not want to return. I was very upset especially because since they’ve suffered due to recent staff screwing them over, I helped advertise and support them helping their facebook and instagram pages get likes by shouting them out on a hookah page I have with almost 2k followers and I didn’t get much thanks for it.
I still gave it two stars because it really is nicely decorated, my friend who works there is awesome, the hookah was good and although it seemed a little inexperienced, our server did mean well and wasn’t the one who was rude to me. Might go back but it turned me off.
