This particular store is pathetic at best. They have a tiny selection of tableware at best. Barely any sales staff, and seem put out if you ask for assistance. It’s worthwhile to travel farther if you would like any selection and assistance.

It seems that every single time I visited this store it’s always been nothing but problem. I live near Boca Raton but I would drive the extra distance to the Hallandale Beach location because they seem to have everything under control there. The latest problem started when I called the store inquiring about a coupon in an email from Pottery Barn I just received. I purchased few items few days prior to receiving the email. I mentioned the 20% off coupon to the lady on the line and asked if she can do the adjustment over the phone for me. She said that’s impossible and insisted that I come in person with the merchandise. Now the merchandise have been unwrapped and placed throughout the house. I would then have to go and find the Pottery Barn shopping bag and the paper wraps that I disposed so that I can drive back to the store with them, as requested. I arrived at the store and your store associate Cathy assisted me. I was never greeted near the entrance and I had to find her at the back cash register. I told her of my issues and she said I would have to return everything and then repurchase everything under a separate receipt. No problem. So she took her time unwrapping everything and was really slow with the computer terminal. She asked for my personal information for the return which I assumed part of the store policy. No problem either. After a good 10 minutes processing the return(they were on separate receipts), she asked for the email coupon. I showed her the coupon and she said, Oh that coupon only works for regular priced merchandise only. I was surprised and told her why didn’t she tell me that in the beginning and in fact, why did she bother returning the sale items if I wouldn’t be able to use coupon with them? All she said was«Sorry» and then took another 10 minute to process the new sale. I was only able to use the coupon on one lousy item. I was so upset at this point and asked to speak to the manager. She called a manager named«Jean» on the mouthpiece the workers used to communicate with each other. After a few tries, Jean finally acknowledged her. Five minutes later, «Jean» still did not appear to which I decided I’ve had it with this store and walked out. I think this store needs to sharpen on their customer service skills or at least have them up to par with the other Pottery Barn store locations. To force their customer to drive to the store to return items and then took the time to re-rung everything with hardly anything accomplished … such a waste of time and crappy customer service. I had the Pottery Barn card for over 7 years which now I might as well cancel. I expected so much better from a store such as Pottery Barn but instead, big failure and disappointment!

I bought my daughter a desk from pottery barn online 1 yr &3 months ago. I didn’t want to buy it from here bc they were very expensive however we had very little room to work with and the desk at Potter Barn was the only one that would fit. Literally the day of delivery it got dented and the paint chipped. A year later it looks a mess and everyone who sees it says to call the store. I called and because it’s 3 months after the warranty they won’t do a thing! Honestly, I wasn’t even considering the warranty bc I know of people who have called bc of defective furniture and they replaced it for them w/o the warranty. Once I found out that I was only 3 months over that made me even more mad. I bought my son’s desk from IKEA and even though it’s not real wood it’s lasting w/o chips and looks good as new! Don’t waste your money on their high priced furniture… you will be disappointed!

Yes I agree with the previous post that the store is tiny, however that being said it should be easier to find a sales person that is available to assist, and unfortunately that has never been the case. Most of the time they are all hiding in the back or talking to each other on their headsets. At times when you do find someone they do smile and ask if you need assistance but when you ask for information on an item they never have a clue about it, They always have to look up the information on the website. How can they not know their own merchandise . This store is a big waste of time if you need to buy something on the spot. You basically have to cross your fingers and toes because the inventory is limited. They are always OUTOFSTOCK. Since I received such poor service I just end up walking out and ordering on line, it is faster and easier and customer service is much more helpful.

No reviews??? Tiny shop compared to most… Located in the over non necessary glam Boca Raton mall. I found a piece of furniture online that I wanted and for a $ 2k piece I wasn’t going to buy it blind. Karin was super helpful, I showed her my printout. She processed, advised me of all necessary info, and she was quick, to the point just what I needed. It’s a pleasure to walk into a store, on a mission and it’s a no breeze experience! Thank you! Ps. Neg: don’t push your store credit cards on me. No I don’t need 10% off. No. No. No.
